Every single cashier has been kind and friendly. The food always came out fresh and hot. Online ordering is easy and my products arrived right on time. No complaints! They recommend consuming the cheeses within 7 days of opening. It's just my husband and me in the household, so finishing a whole package of cheese in a week's time could be daunting. Speaking of the brie, it wasn't my favorite of the selection I received, which was a curated collection of Lorie's from Shark Tank. When we first got the delivery Dear Hubby and I set up a charcuterie tray for ourselves as a late lunch / early dinner. So many wonderful tastes! It was a delightful experience to mix the cheeses with crackers, salamis, Mediterranean olives, and fruit / jam. The sweet chevre offering was divine. Might have been my favorite. We opened four of the cheeses to sample them and left two for later. It's been wonderful for me to have better vegan cheeses than what the local grocery stores tend to stock. Real flavor! Other than that, not too much has changed; they still have a lot of mouthwatering items on the menu... and my family can only eat one burger on the menu. We're allium-free vegetarians and there's alliums in sauces and certain proteins used. Thankfully, we were speaking to one of the co-owners and he was super helpful and patient with us, even looking up ingredients and letting us double check. He is aware of the Jain diet. They also have a kids menu and we actually ordered off of one for the first time for the kids (just a simplified version of the regular burgers), We ended up ordering: MISSION BURGER ($16.95): a classic burger with 2 Impossible patties. Having said that, the patties were super thin and smooshed flat. The guys got this burger. Took out onions and subbed out the house sauce with ketchup and mustard. JR MISSION BURGER ($12.95): same as the regular with only 1 of the smooshed impossible patties. My sister and I got this. A very good burger and it's such a nostalgic feeling eating a burger (that I didn't make myself for once). The burger was perfectly filling but I could definitely also eat a regular Mission with no issues since the patties are smooshed down. For example, at one point, I went to the bathroom and left my crumpled up napkin on the table like some sort of barbarian. When I returned, the napkin was neatly folded and my silverware had been replaced. It was so shocking that I almost wanted to test it again. How many times would they fold it? Beyond the exceptional care by the staff, the food was absolutely divine. You can tell the chef planned every course with care and a knowledge of food I could only dream of obtaining. I had never been to a restaurant where you're served multiple small dishes over the course of two hours. I was honestly worried I'd leave still feeling hungry. I was wrong. So wrong. The last time I felt this full was Thanksgiving 2004 when my aunt accidentally made too many mashed potatoes. At one point during the Fabrik dining experience, I said out loud, "Oh my god," and then quickly remembered I was in a public setting. Every course was delicious. I was lucky enough to snag a table for three during Fabrik's earlier timeslot (5:45 p.m.) on a Friday night. I've been dreaming of visiting Fabrik since it first opened in 2023, so when I received an email about the opening of Fabrik's new Tarrytown location, I knew this was my chance. Fabrik's tasting menu costs $105 a person, with an extra optional wine pairing for $65. We opted to purchase a bottle of bubbles instead of the wine pairing, as the pairing includes approximately three glasses of wine (too much for us). Each course is a special expression of in season produce and other ingredients. Fabrik tries to use local ingredients whenever possible. Fabrik's friendly staff explain the details of each course to your table as they're serving. My favorite savory dish is "black and yellow" which features shiitake mushroom cappelletti in a corn cream reminiscent of corn chowder, served alongside corn madeleines (the first savory expression of a madeleine I've ever seen). Another favorite is the "verdant" featuring scalloped potatoes with homemade cabbage and topped with an aromatic lemongrass hollandaise tableside. After telling friends about our visit to Fabrik, multiple people asked if I was full after a fully vegan meal. A resounding yes. Each plate is on the smaller end, which is necessary because there are eight courses. The last three courses are sweet, which is a delight for those of us with a sweet tooth. My favorite sweet course is the "open sesame" with banana miso mousse and roasted banana compote, served alongside a crunchy black sesame sable. This dish is topped with an extremely realistic "leaf" made solely of banana and sugar, showing the true artistry of this restaurant. Our meal ended with a delicate yuzu macaron topped with a butterfly, which was the perfect citrusy end to an otherwise equally superb meal. Each member of my group left with bellies full and dreams of our favorite courses. After visiting this unique spot, it's easy to see why Fabrik is Michelin recommended. This was maybe my favorite meal I've ever had in Austin. Fabrik's tasting menu changes seasonally, so we tried their "Summer" menu during our August visit. I hope to return for their winter dishes. Not just in Austin, but ever. I am now desperately seeking pierogies that rival FTG's. It's not just the pierogies themselves... but the sauce, it would make angels sing. Every time I tried something new, my heart would long for the pierogies. I finally gave in to my desires and quit trying other new things. I think next time I go back I'm just going to ask strangers if I can have a bite of their food, so I can say I've tried everything. But until then, this review is for what I have tried. After the pierogies. My next favorite things in order. Fried chicken (perfectly crisp bites), jerk chicken (little spicy, not dry, perfect), chilli (so spicy), gnocchi. The cheesecake would technically rank after the pierogies, but because they're a dessert I don't wanna mess up the order here and confuse y'all. The two dudes that work this truck, are here EVERY time. I'm pretty sure the only days they take off is Mondays and Tuesdays. Tell them the girl from Kansas City with a big dog sent to you. Lastly. I liked the flavors, but it was a bit too creamy/saucy for my husband (likely due to the sabayon). The steak, however, was dry and very chewy. Asian Style Spare Ribs ($17): This came with a 1/3 rack of spare ribs, a Thai cabbage salad, and five-spice fried potatoes. The potatoes were fire, and the salad was solid. But again, the meat missed the mark--super dry for the most part. We tried dipping it in the sabayon and other sauces to add moisture, but it didn't help. The fish sauce glaze didn't come through either. The only redeeming quality was the generous portion size.
