I've visited this store several times over the years but I won't be returning because the store has too much merchandise, you can't find anything. The two people working the register didn't know the inventory and couldn't help. The other person who I asked for assistance wouldn't leave their restocking to assist me. The problem is that the store is so overstuffed that it's cluttered. They should remove about half of the food items and spread the shelves out so you can have room to stand back and see things. I don't think shopping at World Market should feel like shopping in a Moroccan bazaar? At least in the bazaar the sellers know every inch of their inventory. read more

Cost Plus World Market is a cute and trendy spot for decorating your space with furniture, decorations, and kitchen ware. They also have a pantry department and a small clothing and accessories corner. Although I enjoy the aesthetic of this store everything seems overpriced, but I suppose with the right budget or for a gift this place would be a hot spot for homing decor. read more

I apprenticed the assistance I received from one of the stockers the four stars are . He was helpful in trying to locate an item I was seeking that was no longer there. The sales clerk was not friendly and never acknowledged me until I told her to have a good day. This person was lacking customer service skills. I can't believe I lived my life without entering a World Market. This place is amazing. I loveeeeee the uniqueness, worldliness, variety, quality, and reasonable pricing of their products. Walking through this place is like walking through Pinterest if it were a store. The employees were super friendly and I had eventually bothered one (I think his name was Jeremy) to help me find a specific candle holder. He had checked on his device but it didn't look like they had it in stock. Jeremy was kind enough to climb up to check one of the boxes for me, but it wasn't the right style. He said to let him know if I needed help with anything else. I later realized I should have asked if the candle holder could be ordered (since I'm not down to pay that shipping fee). Anyways, this is the perfect place to find any knickknack, decor, dishwater, desk, decorative furniture, food, jewelry, or quirky gift for yourself or a loved one. This location is one of two Cost Plus World Markets in Tucson, the other being on Broadway near Wilmot. It's really small in comparison to that location, but it still carries many of the same products. Personally, I was not impressed with the selection here. I found it lacking in diversity. Plus, many of the shelves were bare during my visits. Not only that, but they did not carry Fentiman's Dandelion and Burdock soda, which is one of the reasons why I came in. I guess I will have to make the trek to the Broadway location from now on. Still, the store was quite clean, and the customer service was great. I was happy to find a fellow Doctor Who fan in the person who checked me out, and we reminisced on past seasons and talked about the current one. He was a pretty nice guy. I can spend all day at places like this. There is just so much to see... Food, furniture, toys, drinks from all over the world. The prices can get a tad pricey, but this stuff is imported. There is a good food section. Lots of gourmet chocolates, cookies, teas, coffees, you name it. The drinks are fun to see and try. Everything from prickly pear soda (my favorite) to cucumber soda. The alcohol section was neat as well. They have cute party supplies like cards, bags, and wrapping paper. They have neat baking supplies, dishes, furniture, everything. World Market is my favorite store. Coming from Minnesota where you can't buy alcohol in retail stores, I am even more impressed with World Market now that I can buy wine in the store. They have such a good variety of unique home decor and you can often find really good prices on sale. I would advise to wait until they have a furniture sale to buy any of their furniture pieces, as I've seen 60% off sales. They had a great promo during the holiday's where you could search for a "Golden Llama" in store. They would hide 5 of these llamas in each World Market store per day for a certain length of time and those who found the llama would get a prize valued at 20, 50, and 100 dollars. My husband found one valued at $20. Besides the wine, some of the best buys from World Market (in my opinion) are the kitchen/dining items, the bath items (including their beautiful shower curtains), their lamps, and their greenery. read more

I was a little over zealous doing dishes one day... cracked a wine glass. I was left with 3 sad glasses on the shelf, enough to make any Type A person a little anxious! I always love the products World Market has whenever I go to shop, but today specifically, I enjoyed my visit 110%. Jenn is the definition of WELCOMING & KIND-HEARTED. She went out of her way to make the customers including myself feel very positive and upbeat. The person in front of me was very rude to her, and impatient overall, but she continued to give the best customer service skills, going above and beyond. World Market is packed with all kinds of finds- from furniture to kitchen ware, bath accessories, patio items, paper goods and even food item...you can literally find it all. Every time I step foot into this store, it turns into an all afternoon affair with little reward. It's just not for me. Sure, prices are low, but I also find that the quality isn't very good, in my opinion. I have found some fun items during the holiday season- like ornaments and wrapping paper. The paper supply and party supply section is definitely my favorite section. Tons of cute finds in that area. We do come here once in a while. However, I never bothered to write a review. We even bought a nice gray loveseat a ways back that opens to a bed. But unfortunately the bed is not raised so it became my dogs sofa when he was alive. Anyhow, I meandered all through the store and it seems they have so many fun items at reasonable prices. Couldn't resist the 40% off some chips and popcorn. Both for $3 bucks. Very nice selection on rugs, bath supplies, shower sheets, towels. Many of them quite different from the usual shops you would normally go to. Lots of wines, gourmet foods, one of a kind pillows. That is my mantra. Never too many pillows, When checking out, the very sweetest young lady was "sweet on steroids". Don't know her name but if get on her register you will know her. The international flare and flavor of everything from décor to food is amazing - all in one spot. They have truly unique items, decent prices, and stellar sales. Having both grown up in Europe, my husband and I appreciate the culinary goodies and brands (such as RitterSport, Milka, Kinder, Bhalsa) that we grew up with. They have high quality cooking oils, coffees, and specialty goods. I love the linens, bath items, candles and knick knacks too. We shop here about 3x per month. One thing I will say is that their customer service (at least at this location) is superb. High marks from us. read more

There's a person there, her name is Tammy. Tammy happens to practice a plant based diet (vegan). I'm just sitting at a desk nursing a coffee sample, because I didn't want to be shopping. My feet hurt and I forgot a belt so my pants were all saggy. My colleague is looking for candy and somehow she discovers that Tammy is vegan. My colleague comes to get me because I'm basically lifeless, except for my passion for all things vegan. Everyone hates vegans. With Tammy's guidance, my colleague and I were able to make informed decisions regarding our needs. I wanted vegan options and my colleague wanted good candy. She ended up with Turkish Delight. First time shopping here and I couldn't be more pleased. The manager Tammy gave my mother and me the most exceptional customer service I have ever experienced. She was so great my mother even said she'd steal her for her own business. She was so kind and simply thought of the best for her customers. She didn't mind staying late, past closing helping us load our purchases into our car. She made the extra effort to help us save money even though that's less sales for her store. I couldn't complain about a single thing. Besides for the amazing customer service, all the products are to die for. World Market is exactly how to explain what they have to offer. Had great customer service from Frankie and Neyva, they went out of their way to be helpful, and I left the store feeling great after buying 8 pieces of outdoor furniture. When my helper went a few hours later to pick up the 8 furniture items, he told me he was only given 5 of the 8 items. When he got to my house I asked where the other items were and he said he'd go back and get them. I called the store to tell them he was on his way, I was surprised to be spoken to rudely, considering how nice everyone had been earlier. The gal insisted they gave him 6 of the 8 items, not 5 of 8, (not apologizing for missing the other 2) and that "security cameras would prove that they gave him 6 items, and although they did not check anything off they remembered giving him 6 items". This person clearly does not understand that when she started talking about security cameras, she was implying that the customer (me) is lying and trying to steal an item, which of course got me upset. In this case a $40 item was in question, out of a $700 purchase. I told her to please meet with my helper when he arrived to sort it out and she kept on insisting there was nothing to sort out as she gave him 6 items and she would give him the other 2 and that I was wrong and he was wrong and she could prove it. She could have handled it so much better, with some degree of customer service, rather than being combative and challenging me on the phone. I suggested she use some kind of checklist next time, as I am sure is the procedure, and suggested that if she missed 2 of the items wasn't it possible she missed a 3rd, but she would hardly even listen to me. In the end my helper found the missing item wedged in the backseat of the cab (the rest was in the bed of the truck), but it was all about the way this gal handled it, and I was left feeling very negative about the whole experience. read more
