    Burger with Chicago toppings

Woofies is a true gem, and if you haven't been here you should give it a try. The first couple times I went there I actually got their burger. It's one of the best smash burgers in Saint Louis for sure. Great flavor and great presentation. This place is an old school hole in the wall and I love it. I heard the guy at the register say it's been open since 1977. I finally gave the Woofie Dog (Chicago style) a try and it blew my mind. I'm not a big hot dog guy and typically only eat one at the ballpark. This dog was amazing and one of the best I've ever had. Now that being said, I appreciate a good old fashioned homemade corn dog. Yum yum it was so good. Their fries are golden, crispy, and delicious too, just the way I prefer them. If you like a good local dive hamburger hotdog joint, you are going to love Woofies!

Can here for the first time and absolutely loved it!! The hotdogs were amazing. Just like I was in Chicago! The red hot link was spicy and tasted good. The burger was crazy good!!! Enjoyed the service. Nice patio to sit outside and eat. And the prices were really reasonable

We don't get there as often as we should. Great people serving excellent fun food! No better hot dog around. Yes, I wish they could have longer hours; but it's always fun and they do not disappoint! .

Okay, so my husband has been talking about Woofie's forever, but we're never over that way. Then one random day, boom--we were nearby, so we finally stopped. And let me tell you... WHEW! One bite and I was mad at myself for waiting this long. Easily one of the best hot dogs I've ever had. The service? A+! The vibe? Like a family reunion with better food. 10/10, highly recommend! If you love a hot dog with that perfect snap--Woofie's is calling your name!

As I look around Woofies. I see that it is historic. There are pictures that plaster the walls of celebrities that has eaten here. The drive thru was full. The parking lot was full. I took the last spot. The service was courteous. Even though it was busy my wait was minimum. The burger was delicious. The fries were great. The seasoning on the fries was awesome. This place has been here many years. I'm so glad I decided to stop in for a bite. I ate inside. I recommend this place to all yelpers.

Had a quick opportunity to try Woofies in Overland. I was visiting to try a hotdog but their daily special of a hot roast beef sandwich and fries caught my eye. Got lucky and not too many cars in line. Sandwich was pretty good. Meal came with au jus and ordered a small fries. Fries come seasoned with season salt and were not bad. Pretty decent price for a quick lunch. Good experience and will be back to try their hot dogs.

I hadn't been to Woofies in like 15+ years and it's still exactly the same. I stopped in for a late lunch on a weekday. I ordered the New York Nathan Style (brown mustard, relish, and kraut) with fries and soda. The hot dog was decent. The toppings were great. The bun to meat ratio was slightly off. The fries were undercooked and terrible. I don't eat a lot of hot dogs but this was decent for a change. I don't think the ketchup was a name brand. Service is friendly and quick. I'd go back if in the neighborhood.

Love the food, everyone is very friendly, can't beat the good pricing. The venue is on the smaller side but there's plenty of seating outside.

Footlong and jumbo fries. Both would feed 2.

As good as any hotdog I've had in Chicago. Beware, footlong is literally a foot long! Excellent fries. Adequate parking. Love the authentic dog shack vibe.

I've been in this area a lot growing up and I've never heard of this place. It's been around forever! They've had a lot go famous people come through here. They have so many different hot dog options on their menu and I was so excited to try it out. I ordered the Chicago Style dog and LOVED it.

Featuring the skin-on Vienna Beef dog.

The restaurant is delightfully unpretentious--not in an ironic way, but in a "our food speaks for itself; sit at a stool or take it to go, we know you'll be back" kind of way. We ordered the tofu BTS, chicken BTS, kimchee, and a cheesy Korean corn dog. I added a side of red gochujang, which paired really well with the tofu, adding a bit more heat to the BTS sauce. The kimchee had a delicious umami aroma, but the flavor itself was a bit blunter in terms of spice. Still very good--just not what you might expect based on the smell, which was also good but different. The Korean corn dog... I'd never had a Korean corn dog before, so this was a new experience for me. At first, I thought it was just a giant, corn-dog-shaped cheese stick, but halfway through you get a bite of Korean hot dog. I might try another one, in my life in general, but I didn't totally fall in love with the actual Korean hotdog part. (Used to be pescatarian, so this might track) I even added ketchup and sugar to part of it as these were the condiments it came with. I didn't think I'd like that combination (sweeter ketchup), but I was pleasantly surprised. I've liked this spot ever since I moved to the area about three years ago. Back then, they only offered chicken and shrimp. Over time, they added some beef dishes, limited vegetable options, ramen, then tofu and Korean corn dogs. However, they no longer serve ramen, beef, or warm vegetable dishes. I really wish they'd add a veggie option again, but they clearly know what they're doing. On past visits, the owners have always been very kind. Tonight was a bit different tho, I'm not sure how long they've been offering homemade chicken dog treats, but they had them as a special tonight. The owner was kind enough to transfer custody of a few to me for my dog. He loved them

Let's just say it's good to be back. And in my own neighborhood! I stopped by the location at Olive and the Inner Belt, arguably our best local highway. Five Guys joins a veritable who's who of dining and retail establishments in the area, including Costco, Chick-fil-A and "Panera." What have we done to deserve such a selection? I appreciate the fact that the menu is limited, because I don't enjoy reading, and it prevents this restaurant from being frequented by the kind of person who goes to a burger restaurant and orders something other than a burger. It probably cuts down on the number of Karen incidents. Also, no reasonable person would spend $30 on a cheeseburger for their child, if only as a matter of principle. I didn't check, but I suspect that they don't have a kids meal. If they had a meal that comes with a toy, I shudder to think what it might cost. I ordered the cheeseburger, which is really a double cheeseburger (as the Lord intended), All the Way, with a small fries and an Oreo cookie shake. I ordered the burger All the Way because it was the easiest thing to do and I don't enjoy customizing things, and I kind of regret it. What kind of sociopath orders a cheeseburger with mushrooms on it? Someone who routinely eats things they find on the ground? If I had it to do over again, I'd probably just get LTOP with mayonnaise (ahem) and be done with it. As far as how the food was... People have complained for years that they don't put salt on the meat (ayo!) at Five Guys, and they have a point. Why don't they just put salt on the meat? I know at Olive Garden they don't salt the pasta because it erodes the pans and they can't afford to buy new ones. At Five Guys, they have no such excuse, with what they charge. Otherwise, this burger might honestly be the best burger possible. They're very generous with the cheese. The meat is of a higher quality than the meat any steakhouse I've ever been to, for what it's worth. The fries are really good for what they are, but they're not McDonald's fries. If I were a child, I'm not sure if I'd eat them. The milkshake was honestly the best shake I've ever had. They didn't put a lot of Oreo cookie bits in it, but they didn't charge extra for them (I would have had to leave), and I'm what's known in the community as a Vanilla Shake Brother. I'll probably never eat at Five Guys again in life, but it won't be because the food isn't any good. With a few minor tweaks, it would be literally perfect.

I got here at 9:30 and after standing at the door for a minute it was then I realized I could seat myself. The place is smaller than I imagined and due to limited seating, the only open option was an unbussed booth. I managed to wipe away the crumbs as best I could and then someone came and cleaned the table.. After that, the server came over, introduced herself and said she'd be right with me. When she did, I ordered the #2 from the breakfast basics with a small orange juice. Up until that point, everything was going fairly well. All of a sudden, I see this rush of people coming and going. Some walked in and stood there hoping someone would get up while they happened to be waiting, while others put their face to the glass to try and see in. Mind you, the booth I chose, which was the only one open, is right by the window. So not only do I have people hovering over my food, but then I feel the stares of people outside the window. It was uncomfortable and speaking of which, this can also be said about the booth seats. The saving grace was my food coming but unfortunately, my eggs didn't have any cheese like I requested. I informed the server and they were able to put some on. The stares and dirty booth were enough to make me hightail it out of there. I had never had brisket before having that sandwich, now my mouth waters any time I talk about this restaurant! The cole slaw that I had as a side provided the perfect crunch and balance. My mate had the pulled pork sandwich, which was also very tender. I also loved having a variety of barbecue sauces on the table and was able to try each one. The giant pig statue in front of the restaurant was actually quite informative, as it described where the meat comes from on a pig. Anyway, as I entered the restaurant, I stood in line. It was quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. There are long tables with many seats, so seating wasn't an issue. It is a first come first served dining situation. I ordered the 2-meat plate: brisket, ribs, baked beans, and potato salad. The brisket and the sides were definitely my favorite parts. The brisket was so tender, it basically fell apart in my hands! It was delicious! The baked beans were tangy and sweet, and the potato salad was creamy. I didn't like the ribs, they were very dry and definitely not worth the money. The barbecue sauces are in bottles on the table; my personal favorite was the Honey Badger, sweet with a little bit of heat. I found the Coffee BBQ sauce to be the most interesting; I have never had anything like it before. The coffee notes were subtle and helped balance out the smoky flavors. While I enjoyed the majority of my food, I am not sure if I will be returning. It was a nice experience, but the dry ribs left me feeling disappointed.
