I went to this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. The service was good. The ambiance is just like any other bar & grill type of restaurant. I ordered the Blackened Salmon Pasta. It came with way too many tortilla strips in my opinion. The salmon was under seasoned and the sauce did not make up for it. I originally wanted to order the Birria Tacos but was told that the restaurant could not make it with flour tortillas which I thought was odd. Everyone at my table seemed to like the drinks they ordered though!! read more

Food was not really anything to talk about. They have a good bar and decent selection, nice atmosphere but that's it.

New to the area and came across Woodson Great food and service just in time for crawfish season

For a Saturday night review. My husband I got there around 6:30p. Bar was full so we got a table. Nicole, who was our server was the MOST OUTSTANDING SERVER we have had in a long time. Friendly, personal, knowledge of the menu, efficient.....just everything you'd want on a night out. I hope she gets appreciation for this post. We just loved her. How any of the servers there deal with the crowd. . . . . read more

The food was ok. It's mediocre at its best. We ordered many things on the menu. The crawfish queso dip is a hard "NO". I can be a hard critic when it comes to seafood. The crawfish is also a hard "NO". Their sandwiches are ok. We ordered a club and a Texas Cuban. The Cuban was really tasty. The fried pickles are crunchy and good. The chicken club flatbread is tasty as well. The best thing on the menu is the giant pretzel. Overall its a cool spot to stop and get a quick bit to eat. The service is pretty good and theres a Patio that is pretty cool as well. We periodically will stop here if we don't want nothing too complicated to eat. read more

came in tonight for dinner for the first time, Alexis was amazing. very attentive and nice. I will be coming back!

So far not doing good. We got here at 7:58pm, were seated at 8pm, and it is 8:30 and we had to flag another waitress down to order DRINKS. No one had come to our table at all for 30 minutes. 0/5 stars for whoever was supposed to be assigned to us. 5/5 stars for Morgan, who I flagged down even though she was incredibly busy. Morgan took our entire order (AND the order of the table next to us) even though she wasn't assigned to our table, AND is clearly busy with at least 5 other tables. Not once did she act annoyed or try and rush us, and she got our kids drinks to us SUPER quickly. Kudos to her, she is amazing. Food: * Kids meal burgers - per kids, 4/5 stars * Texas Whopper Eggrolls - 3/5, nice spice in the sauce but meat is very dry. On par with the other eggroll reviews. * Baked Potato - 3/5 stars Drinks were great. Ambiance is what we expected from a bar/restaurant. I want to rate this place 2 stars but Morgan saved the day and the experience, so it gets an extra 2 stars. read more

Great service, clean, good vibe, decent bar food but the clear winner was the pretzel!!

Used to be a great spot. It was very customer friendly. Their prejudice against DoorDash and other delivery services, so that's inconvenient to customers. Now this year you can't order ahead for a to-go order. Never heard of that. I've never heard of a restaurant intentionally driving away customers. That's an interesting business model. read more

Wear a parka it's cold as an icebox in here! Bartenders are not too friendly and the food is typical bar food. One time the chef served me a burger with a circle of mayo in the middle open faced with a fry sticking out of it read more

Always our favorite go to for a drink, a pretzel and a conversation. Service at the bar is reliably attentive and friendly. Our server recommended a combo appetizer and it hit the spot. The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxing. We do prefer later less family more adult, but it's awesome either way. read more

They have comfy bar seats. We had: -Buffalo chicken dip with house made chips that was very good. Dip was served in a small skillet it was melty with a crispy top. The chips had a slightly sweet seasoning to them I could of done without - birria quesadilla was very good. The corn on the side was too sour for my liking $3 mimosa were fantastic! read more

Wow has this place changed since it opened. We were literally the first customers to enter the day they opened several years ago and it was highly polished abound with numerous managers and superb waitstaff. It was this way for several months. The service and food was incredible but like most businesses it goes down hill from there and Woodson's is no exception. The staff now is much younger and less attentive and they still have the same old very uncomfortable metal dining chairs. Guess they do not want you to sit and stay very long. The food quality now is average at best but the prices of course are much higher. Outside is almost like a kids playground now. Republic Grill nearby however remains the same with excellent devoted service and same superb food as the day they opened. read more

Great chicken fried steak. I seem to remember them having it with fried egg on top but that is no longer in the menu. For the best probably as it wasn't that healthy. They also have an arcade cabinet of Golden Tee which I have wanted to try but never got around to. Friendly staff and great food, loved everything I have had here. read more

Erin was very helpful and Alyssa was very kind when she brought out my food! I really enjoy the lighting on the patio!

This is a cool place to go for happy hour drinks and large pretzel. The chicken fried chicken is also a very good option. They have a menu with a large variety of options. Wasn't a fan of the beef egg rolls but they could be a pleaser if you like that sort of thing. I missed the vegetables. Lots of tvs if you like to watch sports, good music playing (though a little loud inside) and plenty of room for seating. They have a cool bar to sit at as well as an area outside if the weather is nice. Give them a try. read more

I've been here several times with different friends, and the service is always wonderful. With several of us having food allergies sometimes there is issues with our food or misunderstandings in the kitchen, but we have never had a single situation that has not been quickly and extremely efficiently remedied along with Appropriate care from the staff. They never seem to be put off or upset when we have to get something fixed and everything I have eaten is delicious. I think the surroundings are for families in the mornings and early afternoons but after about 4 PM, it's a little loud to try to have children to corral and feed. I think that's a better time for drinks and friends. read more

good food, good service. A well known local place. No real complaints. The do kinda seem to add and take away menu items a little more frequently than most restaurants. Unfortunately if you had a favorite dish taken off the menu you can't just ask for them to make it even though they still have the same ingredients. Its always sad to see your favorite meal no longer being served. read more

I've tried a few different entrees from here and none have disappointed. This is another one of my father in laws favorites. The burgers are great but the portions are always a little big for me (I'm fairly small). The wings are also great and a little easier for me. It looks a little like a normal sports bar but I love the entrees also. Service can be terribly slow sometimes, however, that could also be that that it's quite busy. There are tv's everywhere and looks like a typical sports bar. Bathrooms are nice for what it's worth read more

Been wanting to try this place since I was always seeing their posts on Facebook! I must say, they did not disappoint. I was doing some research to see if they had outdoor seating since it was so nice out today, when I found out there was, I called to see if we could bring our pup, right when I called I got an immediate answer, I asked if their patio was dog friendly, Tyler took my call and informed me that it was but let me know in advanced that there was a wait for their patio seating, I told him that wasn't a problem, but thought that was very courteous for him to give me a heads up on that. Once we arrived it was pretty busy but we only had to wait 10-15 mins. Their patio seating is actually a very good size; it's covered and has fans. Dogs of course need to be on a leash, and they provide water bowls for them! We were acknowledged quickly from our waitress and she got down our drink orders, we had a pretty good wait time in between. We ordered the giant pretzel as an appetizer, my husband ordered the 12 piece bone in wings, which come with a side, and I ordered crawfish which comes with corn and potatoes already, it also includes butter and seasoning. You can also add in extra corn, potato, sausage, shrimp, ravioli, or mushrooms The pretzel comes with cheese, and it was delicious! The outside wasn't hard and the inside was nice and fluffy. My husband said his wings were good as well as the fries. The crawfish I thoroughly enjoyed, I ordered ravioli and mushrooms to go along with it, had some pretty good heat to it but nothing unbearable, the heads weren't as juicy as I would like but like I said, the flavor was there. Overall service from start to finish was fantastic and the food was great as well. It is a little pricy, especially if you order drinks, but I feel like everything was well worth it, atmosphere and all! read more

Atmosphere is great here. Very friendly staff. Food is good, but not the best I've ever had of things. Their wings are pretty good, but not the best. The sliders are a little dry. I typically find one thing I love that is my safe thing to order, and have not been able to find that here. That's the only reason I wouldn't give this place 5 stars! read more

First time here. They have a variety of entrees to choose from. Unfortunately, the waitress was preoccupied and didn't check on our party of 7. Our food came out and we had to get our own silverware. They forgot one mix drink order and my nephew's food. The manager did make it right. I must say, all of the food was delicious!! It's worth coming back. read more

Place is really great and nice place to hangout. Food and price are ok. The reason I don't gave them more stars is because they allow customers to smoke at the out side tables. And they don't have any signs or information even they don't ask you if you are confortable sitting at the smoke area. read more

Good little joint to visit when you want wings and a good beer. We sat out on the patio and it was nice. The service was a bit slow, but I would venture to say that is something we experience nearly every time we go out to any restaurant due to the labor shortage. I won't knock them for that because our service was very courteous and doing her best to handle the large lunch crowd. There are also plenty of TVs inside, so I'm sure this place is good for football season. Either way, I recommend it. It's not on my top picks, but definitely worth a stop by. read more

Stopped here with my friends and their two boys and my 10 month old son. He place was bopping! Nearly all tables were full on the Friday night. The service was fast and efficient and food came out quickly. I ordered the burger With Mac and cheese, fries onions, and bacon. It was actually quite good. The fries were just okay. Oh but the pretzel?! It was to DIE FOR. It was absolutely mouth watering, buttery deliciousness!! I'd go there again just for that! The beer flight I got was decent as well. And I live in San Diego and go to many breweries and I was pleasantly surprised by their beers! My only complaint is the music level. It was SO loud. Thank god I brought my son's moose cancellation headphones and mine as well! I felt no shame in wearing them because the music was so loud you couldn't really hold a conversation very easily at all. I would hope this would change. I will definitely be back and update the review when I return. They could perhaps earn a 5 star with less booming music! read more

Incredible place with some of the best bar tenders, absolutely love their new Birria tacos and the Philly cheese steak egg rolls. We love Woodsons. The food is great, bartenders are even better. We go at least once a week. You won't be disappointed.

Came to Woodson's for a couple drinks during Thursday Night Football. It was pretty busy for a Thursday but we were able to get right in at the bar. While drinking, my partner and I noticed they offered a (food) Happy Hour menu so we chose a couple bar bites from there. We ordered some type of Bacon Fries with queso on the side. The boneless wings were good, we got lemon pepper hot and spicy garlic. Both sauces were pretty tasty. read more

We have visited this location three times and our food was always fresh and timely. Atmosphere is upbeat and it's casual dress. I can say the only con is the attentiveness of the waitstaff. *TOURIST REVIEW* This was the first place we visited once we came to Texas, partly because it was open so late lol. We were informed there was a late night menu so we didn't have many choices. I ordered the skillet brownie while it wasn't spectacular I thought it was decent. Our waitress was super nice though. I didn't catch her name but she was brunette with glasses. We sat outside and I didn't really look around but the place seemed nice and there were a good amount of people even late at night. It was pretty good and if I'm ever back in the area I would be back! read more

The hours need to be updated as they close at 12am and not 2am. We have been a couple of times and the food is amazing! They have crawfish during the season, the giant pretzel is sooooo soft and warm, brisket sliders are the bomb, the magnolia fries are heaven sent and the fried jalapeño are a secret gem!! The only thing I didn't like was that after I think 10 they switch to a limited late night menu. The late night menu is wings, different French fry baskets, desserts and of course the giant pretzel. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and you seat yourself. Patio is a good size and has TVs. The bar has lots of seating all around. read more

Have ordered through DD 3 times so far. Had a burger, Hat Trick, sliders, and Cajun pasta. Prices anre very reasonable. Everything we had was amazing! It's so refreshing to have a restaurant that has great food and is consistent! We can't say that about many restaurants these days.
