Our first time visiting Sawyer Park ice house was for a designer purse, bingo event. Large open space with plenty of tables. On the night, we were there. They served various appetizers and small entrées. We enjoyed the fried dill pickles and a lemon pepper wings. Great variety of cocktails with the most popular being the prickly pear Margarita. They host lots of events and have daily specials. The vibe is quite loud and festive, but it is an icehouse so you wouldn't expect anything different. Plenty of parking. read more

Loved that it was fenced in on the turf and another plus is they have a lot of parking. I'm just comparing this to Kirby's Ice House as it is the only other ice house I've been to in the woodlands. In my opinion it was superior: -Prices were half of what Kirby charged. -Parking lot was twice as big -Staff was 10 times as friendly -Food was 1000 better. Why? Because they actually have food unlike Kirby's. Tonight was prime rib night for $24.99. Comes with loaded baked potato, salad and supposedly a dinner roll which they apparently forgot but I didn't even notice as I'm trying to cut those carbs with more meat. Heh heh. read more

Another great game day at SP Today my waitress was Brooklynn and she was awesome...kept our group in drinks and never without. Food service was fast and everything was hot and delicious. Today I ordered the Cajun dry rub wings $14 (qty 10 really huge wings, biggest wings anywhere) and parmesan fries $11 and 2 Pacifico beers $11 Main tv screens are awesome and they change them depending on what games are close and not blowouts...today they even had F1 at COTA on one of the screens. This icehouse is pretty well set up. Has plenty of seating indoors and outdoors along with a big fenced in yard for those who do family outings. They have a nice selection of alcoholic beverages and their food is a better than OK, not all that great but pretty darn good if that makes any sense. We've gone there on a Friday and Saturday and both nights they have had bands. The crowd tends to be mid 30s and up, so it tends to be very chill, no new age drama. Both days we have arrived around 6 PM, left before midnight. We had the same waitress, (Friday night table of all girls) (Saturday night table with girls and guys) I guess different days means different attitude towards life for some women lol because there was definitely a big difference in service. We came here with a group of friends for the Super Bowl, and the atmosphere was exactly what we needed! Even with it being an extremely busy day, we had excellent service and the only thing that had a wait was some food. To be expected, since there were about 700 people there. Service and atmosphere great. Food not so much. Brisket had zero flavor, no smoke, and bland. I will continue to go, but will not eat unless it's to soak up alcohol. When the fries are better than the sandwich, there are problems. They leave off sauces, which would probably help. My SNL and DnL got sick off the wings. Again, service and ambiance are great. Sawyer park is a really nice place for happy hour. The place was almost empty on Monday night as we sat and watched football and ate good food. We had a variety of food items. I normally get their pretzel and wings but decided to do different. I ordered the Birria tacos and fresh jalapeño. Excellent! The meal didn't have any sides so it was more of an appetizer but worked well for me. I also got an order to go and an order of buffalo shrimp they were really good. I didn't have any fancy drinks, just a house white wine. It was cold outside so we didn't sit out there but usually, that is the MO. Can't wait until the weather is nice. read more

Thirsty Thursdays !!!! I've always seen sawyer park and wanted to come and finally chose tonight was the night the beer is cold the staff is amazing and super friendly. The crowd and ambiance of the bar is a relaxing laid back atmosphere where you can catch up on the game friends or just hang out. They have plenty of parking and if you know me that's already a good start. Guess the only thing I would recommend is probably getting here early to get a good seat or table. read more

Ambiance: So here's the thing about Sawyer Park - the ambiance *feels* like it should be incredible. There is an entire turf area with picnic tables and a giant tv screen to watch trending games. They have a large interior area with tables, high tops, & bar seating complete with games, Instagram backdrops, and a stage for live music/events. There is also an entire patio area with various tables, lounge seating, & even more murals galore for Instagram pics. Dog friendly, kid friendly, perfect spot for parties and hanging out with an entire friend group on the weekend. What's not to like, right? I'm all about ambiance. I love a versatile space! Hang out, bring the dogs/kids, invite your friend group, enjoy some music. However, the reason I cannot give more stars is that on a weekend afternoon this place feels like a daycare at Disney Land. Kids literally everywhere - running around, screaming, etc. I can respect my fellow younger patrons but this is an icehouse selling mimosa towers & speciality cocktails. They need to have a designated space (such as the dogs on the turf) for families. They need to require parents to keep their children around their table. Multiple kids/teens hanging out on their own with zero parents in the vicinity. We left early because it was so loud from kids screaming right by our table and rolling toy cars across the patio floor by our feet. Food & drinks are subpar & expensive. Parking onsite - but fills up substantially! They have several events (like purse bingo) and live music during the week. Incredibly crowded! Has the potential to be a fun spot but just know that your experience in the outdoor area is likely going to be very loud with kids doing whatever they want unsupervised. read more

A new food runner delivered our food to another table and the server was extremely apologetic and figured it out on her own. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and sat down. The wait wasn't long before our waiter came and gave us our menus. The music wasn't too loud and there were a lot of people walking around. Once we had placed our order, the food came out pretty quick. The burnt ends were amazing. The taco tasted good and the mozzarella sticks were okay. I think they were lacking a bit of salt. I've been to sawyer park many times. Usually, I go with my coworkers or friends after work. I enjoy going to sawyer park. They have good indoor and outdoor seating. There's many tables and places to sit. Outside, the patio area is nice. They have a big projector screen inside as well. There's lots of parking, but on especially busy nights people have to park on the grass. The service here is usually pretty great. I've only been on weekdays, but there's usually a waitress who will stop by, and you can go order food & drinks at the bar. They recently started giving buzzers for food orders, which I really like. The food however is just ok. I usually get the parmesan fries, and the bottom fries are always incredibly greasy. They taste great though. The fried pickles were good, the bbq is good, and the crawfish is decent too. If the food was better, this would be one of my favorite places! It's disappointing too because I usually go for happy hour after work & always get hungry while I'm there... Overall, going to sawyer park is usually fun. I wish they had better food. This place is a lot of fun for happy hours, drinks out, and dueling pianos! I've been here for all three and it's always a blast. On dueling piano nights it can get crowded so come early if you want a table big enough for your group. But it's a really great show with super talented performers. Drinks are pretty good and happy hour prices are great. I got the club sandwich last time I went and it was pretty tasty. It was also huge so either bring an appetite or someone to share it with.
