An update from 7 months ago- This place became our favourite place to hang out very quickly. The place provides a lot of fun events each night. Monday is boneless wings, taco Tuesday's and bone in Wings Wednesday and trivia night. Bingo night Thursday and live band Friday with chicken fried steak specials. Crawfish specials every night. Last night we had 2 rounds of 5lbs for $30 and it was great with friends around and enjoyed the chatting and catching up. Sarah and Cipi our 2 favourite servers who knows pretty much what we want and how we like our food cooked. BuffaloRun is an extension of our home. It is basically our kitchen. This is our hangout spot and we've pretty much made this our regular family dinner spot- Great job servers and food runners and the ladies at the front. I've been a regular customer here since I was 17, im now 22, that's 5 years, tonight I go in for crawfish after work, a server my self . crawfish, shrimp, etc was great. come 2 they're closing, we ask the lady who's throwing up tables to give us 5 more minutes, and she told us no. someone who doesn't even work there, in Birkenstocks and booty shorts, telling us to leave, doesn't even work there. she causes a fight over that for no reason, just drunk and looking for a fight. In the service industry myself, I couldn't imagine not giving my customers 5 minutes after closing, just to wait for part of our party to get done in the restroom. read more

Buffalo Run yesterday... it was $30 for 5lbs or $6.99/lb. Then to add flavor it was $0.75 per pound, so an additional $3.75, I added Garlic Butter, to add the crab it was $15 (totally not worth it). Then to potatoes, egg and ravioli were sold separately. So it added up quick. The service was OK, our waitress was very nice, but she disappeared for long periods of time. All the other food ordered came out for the rest of the table 20 minutes prior to the Crawfish. So there was waiting to eat and others waiting for us to finish afterwards. The staff here is very friendly and service is good. The place is a decent size, so unless it's during summer or they're having a special, you can usually find a table pretty easily. Very disappointed in the food at Buffalo Run. I visited with my brother and husband on 5/18 so they could get crawfish. They really enjoyed theirs and felt like it was a good value for the money. So if you're headed there to dive headfirst into crawfish, be my guest and ignore this review!! Since crawfish is only seasonal, I wanted to review my experience outside of that aspect. First, this restaurant was really dirty. We came on a Saturday which I know can typically be busy, but it was more midafternoon when business was slow. It was hard to find a clear table because most were still covered and dirty from people who had last eaten there. The bathrooms weren't very clean and neither were the floors. I ordered potato skins, but they were out. No big deal, it happens. We ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizer instead and they were just OK. I was really excited about their brunch burger so that's what I chose as my entree. I love burgers like that and had never seen one with as much on it as what Buffalo Run offers. It was so disappointing and bland. I ended up deconstructing it and just eating the patty. I also tried one of their key lime pie drinks and it was just not good. I know lime is sour, but this was really sour. Though I know that's just a personal preference and nothing against the bartender at all. I can imagine it would be a cool place to be when they have something going on like a show on the stage, but other than that I'd never choose to come here. Even then I'd probably only have a drink. There are just too many other restaurants in the area to try that have better food and aren't so dingy. read more

I had lunch at this restaurant yesterday. The waitress was not able to answer questions about the menu. Our food was served individually rather than as a group. The hamburger was extremely thin so more vegetables and bun. I will say the french fries were delicious. I paid on demand at the table and requested a printed receipt. Absolute worst service I've had in awhile. Waitress seemed lost, any alcohol we tried to order, she had to go ask about it and it took her over 10 minutes to come back with an answer. Came here for an NFL playoff game. Good crowd, nice TV setup, almost all tables full. My 3 friends and I had wings, a sandwich and tacos. All were tasty and a good value. However our server was slow, made a mistake and had to leave before her shift was up for an emergency. It took a VERY LONG time to get another server. The first one we spoke to seemed tired and overworked, she got us another server. A place with this kind of service wont last. We're not usually in Texas during crawfish season, so when a friend suggested we grab a few pounds of mudbugs for dinner I enthusiastically said YES! We arrived on a Friday night around 6 pm, before the big crowds and were seated immediately. The crawfish comes by the half and full pound, and you can add shrimp, potatoes, corn or mushrooms. We also ordered a few starters - jalapeño poppers, spinach artichoke dip, plus the Cajun garlic butter and ring of fire sauces. The first pound we opted for shrimp and all the fixings, but this meant there were fewer crawfish. I love my crawfish spicy (hence the ring of fire sauce), but the spice level was hit or miss on everything - one mushroom was not even mild, the next caused you to choke. One crawfish was so spicy you couldn't even finish it, the next was a dud. We ordered just crawfish for the next pound, with the same problem. The starters came out haphazardly, before and after the crawfish, and were pretty forgettable. Finally, we got a crawfish-only pound, but they still suffered from the same hit or miss issue.
