Our waitress today did a stellar job despite a menu shortened by ingredients out of stock. Still I was able to enjoy a Beef on Weck and sample some fairly good wings. By far one of the worst experiences ever . I called here at 7:59pm to place a Togo order for crawfish and the lady on the phone asked to put me on a brief hold and i said okay . After being on "hold" for 15 minutes constantly hearing her greet other customers i hung and and tried to call back several times but the line kept going straight to voice mail saying the line was busy(assuming because the phone was off the hook not on hold). I made my way there after work to place my order which i explained to the Togo specialist what happened and she did apologize, i talked to her about the combos and ordered 2lbs of crawfish and 2 potatoes which she told me where really big that they cut in half so i felt 2 were enough. After placing my order she told me it would take 20 minutes so I waited in my car . Once i got home i opened my box to majority of my order being small crawfish ! Mind you i just got crawfish from the flying pub last night (which was better!) I'm just trying different crawfish spots to see who i like the best , and the flying pub crawfish WERE HUGE but here they were literally soo small a lot with my potatoes that were bite size i should've ordered 6! Our server had to go grab a brown server to help us despite us sitting literally next to the only table he was waiting on who were white. He never acknowledged us never told us he was getting us a different server. He continued to play pool and be attentive to his table. We definitely shouldn't have given this place a second try. They messed up our crawfish again and their solution is always, oh, we'll bring you the sauce on the side. We said no this time. So they took the crawfish back to bring me the same crawfish back because there was still the shell of the one we tried. The service was very friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive. There was a "team" dynamic with several people helping our waiter with delivering food, refills, and checking on our table frequently. Most of the menu items are priced fair, but a few were on the pricey end (mainly the specialty drinks). Crawfish weren't bad at all; they were offered at $5.99/lb, and the price includes a few small mushrooms, sausage, corn & potatoes. It was all perfectly cooked & seasoned, with the crawfish nice & big, consistent in size. No complaints! The rest of my meal consisted of poutine fries topped with beef, which were just around $10. However, my drink tab was a little steep (I ordered small cocktails/shots which ran $12 each)... So, I may reconsider my choices next time lol. My own personal check (for one person) was a little over $60 before gratuity. I enjoyed everything very much, so it's justifiable for a Saturday night out. I'm such a sucker for good customer service. Immediately upon entering we were greeted by a man who appeared to be the manager. We were seated with no wait time and soon greeted by a waiter. The restaurant is really large, clean, has tvs, pool tables and dart games. We ordered buffalo tenders, fries, Mac n cheese, and crawfish. Many of the crawfish were itty bitty. After a certain point I just threw in the towel, it was too much work for such a small piece of meat. I'm guessing they were so small because it's not officially crawfish season??? IDK...Despite the size, they were flavorful. They had just enough seasoning and spice. I will return for the crawfish if they are larger. This place has become my new favorite neighborhood bar and restaurant. The service is always excellent, all of the servers have been extremely friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The drinks are also great and reasonably priced. This is our goto spot for Crawfish. We've tried a few other places and always find ourselves coming back here. The taste and spice level is right on, plus they sell tasty Cajun butter, which is a game changer for crawfish. If possible, I would have given them a 2.5 out of 5. Respectively on a scale of 1 to 10, with a 5 being the minimum expected, the food is probably a six, the wait staff is probably a four, and management is probably a seven or eight. I find this restaurant to be a prime example of the saying "you get what you pay for" , but little else. This place is great for the occasional visit, if you're a sports fan, and like sports bars, but if you're looking for a restaurant to enjoy dinner at, this place does leave something to be desired. Been here routinely like clockwork for almost 2 years now. This restaurant has a couple staples that they do very well, the wings and the Crawfish are terrific, however the rest of the food can be mediocre at times. I quite often order salmon, and if the piece of salmon is not perfectly even in size, the cooking staff seem complexed on how to cook it. To change things up, I've ordered chicken tenders before, to come out soggy, and doused whatever sauce like the wings. The wait staff, are usually relatively attentive, but it does seem that if you break from their usual routine, like some textbook formula (drinks, take order, deliver food, check on food, bring check) they too get confused. I often go to play pool, and therefore may not order food for half an hour to an hour, and this confuses the wait staff, uncertain of what to do they rely on me to go to the bar and order. The management, is relatively responsive to suggestions, but it does often take several times for reasons that are sometimes out of their control. All said and done, I find this restaurant to be a prime example of the saying "you get what you pay for" , but little else. Came here for the crawfish. On a Sunday it was not that packed. They had a special today for 5 lbs for $25. My sister got the Cajun Butter and I got Janes Way (spicy garlic parm). It was literally so good and they were great sizes. If you're not a crawfish person they have great selections for other food. They had other drink specials Sunday (mimosas, tequila sunrise, and bloody Mary's). There is indoor and outside seating. The waitress was very attentive and was super helpful. I have lived here for 6 years and never made it over here and less than 2 miles away. To start off, the parking lot was extremely full which to me is a great thing, there was a small line to wait for a table. Our wait was no more than 10 minutes and we got a comfortable booth which was clean. A-lot of times in these establishments butter grease is left on the tables or chairs from the previous clients. We did not have that problem here. We were welcomed immediately by our server, she was quick, informative and truthful about some options. In fact, the Margarita I order was not the best; however, my server offered to fix it or get a different one. I choose the strawberry lemonade instead, it was ok, not my favorite, but it was decent. If you are looking for strong drinks this isn't the place. The bathrooms had a broken stall, the rest of the stalls were in decent clean working order. The overall atmosphere was loud; however, you are still able to have a full private conversation without the fear of people dropping in on your conversation. It was a mixed demographic location, with a good mix of country, rock, music and sports playing all over the establishment. Bar is first come first serve, we opted for the booth. Ok for children, young adults, and partying adults all in one place. Moving on to the real reason we are here, the mud bugs! We decided on the buffalo boil. We always request seasoning and butter on the side because we know the actual boil is already cooked in spices and flavor, most people don't know that if they are newbies. On a level of 1-10, 10 being the spiciest, I would give the boil part a solid 8 almost 9. The hottest you can go is the ring of fire add-on which my partner got and he was loving the heat! I however; stay with the cajun garlic butter on the side. Which was perfect for me. The crab cluster was decent (size was good enough for one person, sausage, shrimp, were excellent in flavor texture and taste. The Boudin sausage was really good and crispy which is how I like it, and the crawfish were mixed size and very flavorful with a great texture. Only thing that I can possibly take away from this in a negative aspect as I don't believe it was 3 pounds of crawfish. I think it was 3 pounds for a boil but I may be wrong. We may have just been upsized at other places and could be fooled by that. Overall, it fed two hungry adults, one of which only ate the crawfish and shrimp, and two mushrooms. I would recommend boiled eggs or quail eggs as a side add on and maybe increase the size a little. Also improve the sweet and sour mixer for the margarita because it was awful. Ok y'all...so there was a post here that sold me to go to buffalo run for crawfish. we drove about 40 mins and got there. We didn't know this but apparently you can't order to take with you. So we decided to stay and eat even though my husband and daughter do not eat crawfish. We found figured we'll just order Different. Wait was about 15 mins or so and they offered us a table with chairs that were pretty high off the ground. My kid is 6. There's no way she would've been safe up there. I mentioned it to the host as well and she clearly had seen our daughter when we placed the names. Honestly that's a liability but again as parents we can thankfully advocate for her. We were told it'll be another 20-25 min and we decided to wait. We finally got our table and l ordered 3lbs of crawfish and hubby had boneless wings( hot), jalapeño poppers and my kid had Mac and cheese. We got our dinner and it looked like handful of decent size crawfish. But as I moved it around it got smaller and smaller. There were quiet a few handful of mush crawfish. And some that were too small to even dig. The flavor was not very spicy. I ordered the garlic Parmesan and jades way. I expected some kick to it but it did let me down. My husband wasn't very pleased with the wings either and my kid kept finding burned cheese in her Mac and cheese. Overall it was an okay experience our waitress was friendly. So there's that. Atmosphere was very nice if you want to hang out with friends and have drinks. But as far as food it was a let down. I would prefer to write it with no stars I went in to Buffalo Run on Friday June 9th with two others . When we walked in there were a total of three customers sitting at the bar and one couple sitting in a booth that was it so when me and my friends walked in obviously you couldn't help but to notice customers had walked in the door. There was a sign as you walk in that says feel free to take a seat so we took the table two tables away from the couple that was sitting there so it wasn't like they didn't notice us or couldn't see us. We literally sat there for almost 10 minutes with no one acknowledging us no one coming over and trying to take our order or give us the menu nothing. Came for the first time to try soon be crawfish. Atmosphere is great, would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to drink and have a chill night. Only two reasons for the deducted star are my crawfish were majority small. For the $40.00 I paid for them (5lbs), would expect little more. Like at least 50% normal sized. LoL Also the waitress kept coming over and trying to make small talk which wasn't the complete worst. However, two beers in she told me and the person I was with how much our tab like she was expecting us to pay and leave. Biggest pet peeve when servers do that. To end on another positive note though, the music selection is really good. The volume is also turned up. Chalked it up to needing a big table. One of the people in our party went inside to use the restroom 15 minutes later when the announcement was made no more crawfish. We also saw the big table with only 4 people sitting at it. All boils down to the 25.00 was to shut us up because they weren't planning on seating us anyway. I love Jades crawfish and are as well as family who are regular customers but not sure I will be returning to this establishment. It all came out at the same time, pretzel was too hot to handle and our meals sat there getting cold. The waitress somewhat tried to help but said oh the pretzel takes a while to cook. Relaxed sports bar vibe is pretty enjoyable, though the volume level makes me suspect it's very loud in here when it's crowded. I'm here at lunch time during the week and the crowd is small. The kitchen feels a little slow given that there's not that much business in here. But, honestly, all is forgiven after a burger that came with one of the best beef patties I've ever eaten in a restaurant. I tried the pretzel with queso, primarily as an excuse to try the queso. the queso was nominally ok, but the pretzel itself was pretty fabulous. Alright Yelpers, I didn't fly to a far away place to visit this Jem. The wife and I were looking for a place that represented the Buffalo Bills and Western NY! Well we finally found it, Buffalo Run! After a warm welcome from Marie behind the counter we began asking about the Sahlen's hotdogs (which are not on the menu, you have to ask for them). I chose the Sahlen dog and wings (with blue cheese!) It was so great to have Western NY flavor and culture right down the road from our home. The atmosphere was really down to earth, the menu is stacked with Western NY flavors too! Beef on Weck!!!! Ray (the owner) took a min to come from the kitchen to chat with us.
