Let me tell you, this was a drive but glad I was finally able to get out and enjoy dining in despite the service. We had several selections of menu items to choose from, it took me at least 15 minutes to decide, but then again I'm pregnant so everything seemed like it would be delicious. Definitely a southern flare to this place, which I love. The food had ample amount of flavor -- and aside from the crawfish having mushrooms in it.... which having native Louisiana roots, I thought it was weird. It was still delicious. Obviously not in "real season" yet but still packed a cute punch. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls, which were decent but I would have loved for the cheese and meat to be more mixed in for a juicier effect. It was a bit dry to my liking and the queso they served on the side was ok. The Magnolia was freaking amazing though. I completely misread the menu and thought it came as loaded baked potato and the fries/tots as a side option but it was actually "loaded" over tots. Brisket was perfect!!! I could have done without the salty fried pickles, but overall so good. Service was a little ehh, but I'll chalk it up to the fact that it was getting late on a Monday night and the server may have been ready to go. SN: they are dog friendly, but I don't care for the idea of some strange dog next to me while I'm eating. read more

Came on a busy Saturday, the restaurant had a great atmosphere with a good balance between family restaurant and Bar with friends. Our server was kind and checked on us multiple times. As for the food, the pretzel was amazing definitely a must if you eat here. The magnolia fries & brisket nachos were also very good with fresh tasting ingredients. As for the chicken fried steak and salmon plates, I feel that they lacked flavor. The salmon tasted like it was just pulled from the ocean and the the gravy on the chicken fried steak was flavorless but also tasted like it had been sitting in a pot all day. The rice with salmon was also over cooked and mushy. Perhaps next time I would try something different, but I don't regret my visit. Good service and nice environment. read more

Excellent service, great atmosphere, tons of variety for food & drinks! Happy hour is daily from 4pm to 7pm, and they offer some stellar HH deals (like discounts on select appetizers, beer, and house wine)! Some of my favorite go-to menu items are the giant soft pretzel, fried pickles, and the brisket grilled cheese on sourdough. Yum! They also serve crawfish in season, and they are pretty good too. Big bonus for being dog friendly on the patio! (*No foodie pics, because we demolished everything so fast the last time we came here lol.) I love this place! Really good food and beer selection. We went on a Friday night and it was extremely busy but only waited about 20 minutes for a table for 4. We each ordered a different dish but started off with giant pretzel it was very good. Indoor and outdoor seating. It is pretty loud inside but I am sure it was because of how packed they were on Friday night. read more

I can't get enough of this place. Great drink selections and an awesome menu. I've tried the Austin Fries, Brisket Grill Cheese, buffalo fries, burger (can't remember the name), crawfish and shrimp and everything exceeded my expectations. I love their Crackberry Cider and not really a cider fan. Very great service and friendly wait staff. I love their patio area as well. The food at this restaurant is not bad. However, the service has been horrible 9 times out of 10. I waitresses are always so aloof and I feel like I have to work far too hard to get their attention just to place my order, let alone get one drink refill. Tonight was the first time in my life I've ever gotten up and just walked out to go somewhere else. The restaurant wasn't even half full, but after 30 minutes the only glimpse of hope of getting some food was the waitress saying she would bring us some water. To make matters worse we were celebrating my wife's birthday. With no sign of the waitress we finally got up and went to find another restaurant. I won't be back anytime soon. read more

Awesome time eating dinner with friends Nick and his wife Christine. We were served by Ashlee and she did not disappoint. Made great recommendations on appetizers, drinks for my friends, and our entrees as none of us had ever been before. Nick's a Marine Corp vet so his meal was comped. Very gracious of Woodson's to recognize that. For appetizers we order the big pretzel and a macaroni filled eggroll thing. Both were amazing. For entrees Nick orders the Cajun Pasta and his wife got a balsamic chicken salad. I got a baked potato with fried onions, pickles, and brisket. Portions were huge. We all ended up taking half of our orders home. We came during Happy Hour so drink specials were very nice. I placed a take out order of their magnolia fries which were awesome. I read reviews about greasy food (mine wasn't), but in Woodson's defense this is a sports bar so no one should walk in expecting healthy dishes. The Magnolia fries are crispy fries topped with house made brisket, queso, fried onions, bar-b-que sauce and fried pickles. All the toppings were packaged separately in my to-go order which was a pleasant surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed the dish and would recommend it. I do wish it had more fried pickles. I only had five thinly sliced pieces and the BBQ sauce was left off my order. The restaurant was clean. Service was quick and the lady that took my order was nice and pleasant. We have been several times and it's always good food and usually good service. Last night (Saturday June 19) made me want to post a review... we came in for after dinner drinks and sat at the bar. Bartender got our drinks quickly, and then almost immediately some jerk next to us started to pick a fight with my husband about my husband wearing a mask. We tried to ignore him, but he just got more and more aggressive - taunting my husband and even taking his picture with his phone. We grabbed our drinks and left the bar to sit at a table. Immediately a woman (who turned out to be the manager) came over and asked if we were ok. We told her we needed to switch our bar tab to our table and she told us not to worry about it - she saw what happened and comped those drinks. She was ON it! So appreciated!!!! She told our waitress as well and we got great service the rest of our time. Thank you for handling that so quickly.
