First time here and I was meeting someone. We met for drinks and apps. Please is in a shopping strip center with plenty of parking around and near location. Inside I arrived at 7pm Sat and they were busy approx 75% full and some people outside even thought it was still pretty hot. Got a table right away and service got drinks right away. Servers worked as a team and our food came out pretty fast and we got checked on frequently by multiple service staff. You won't feel forgotten. A lot of TVs on walls and busy but not too loud, was able to hold a conversation without yelling. Look forward to another visit for a full meal to try some of the entrees. I ordered an ultra draft and my guest ordered a mixed drink a dirty Shirley temple. 2we also ordered loaded tater skins. They were really good.

We went to Woodsons for happy hour after work. I made a reservation in advance but the ladies at the host stand couldn't find them. They were able to seat us anyway as the large tables in front were empty. Most of us had appetizers and drinks, some ordered food. I enjoyed the potstickers, queso and salsa and the giant pretzel. The pretzel was my favorite, even when it was cool, the flavor was still there. Very yummy. We also had buffalo chicken fries and egg rolls, both were good. For some reason it was super cold inside but it was also raining a bit so that might be why. It was cold for me which is odd but rather too cold than hot. Great place for happy hour with an extensive menu.

JALAPEÑO POPPER SMOKED PULLED PORK EGG ROLLS!!! AMAZING I HAVE NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE THEM! Service at the bar is amazing friendly, helpful, good recommendations, and craft cocktails made to make yo smile! Ambiance friendly, great music, welcoming and friendly guests that talk to every one!! Been coming here for 5 years!!

Chips and queso?!?‍

This is a nice place. The building is great for this type of strip mall sports bar. Lots of TVs. The girls working the bar are friendly and helpful. The happy hour food menu was meh. Fried stuff, and not in a good way. In a super salty and greasy way. It was my second time eating here and both times I was underwhelmed. The queso is just melted velveeta. Salsa was watery and flavorless. The egg rolls are mostly greasy wrapper. Boneless wings were the best thing and those were dry.

Food is tasty and fresh! Service is great. Our server was very nice and friendly. Music was little loud but as always mentioned is just me! Love the menu and their beers selection. This place was suggested by a friend for my husband b- day! Was worth it!

Following Beryl, this spot was PACKED. I'm not sure if patrons were loving the Astros game coverage, beer, the giant pretzel, or all three but it's clear they were enjoying escaping day 4 without power. Like most, I usually come to Woodsons for the pretzel...you know the one, it's bigger than your head and comes with a decadent side of beer cheese. Today, I decided to expand my palate and order a few items that were underrepresented in the photo gallery, the sleeper hits if you will. I'm glad I gave them some love, because they were all delicious. +New Fashion- I truly couldn't tell you how it differs from the old fashioned lol, but for this setting theirs is passable. It doesn't seem like a popular option, but the beer selection always is! +Sweet tea- this tea is not for the week...we're talking Chicken Express level sweet on this sweet tea (or atleast it was the night we visited) +margarita chicken- I wanted a "healthier" option, and while this wasn't exactly a healthy choice but it was delicious without being too greasy, fatty, or dry. The generous portion was a nice bonus. +onion rings- after trying these fresh from the fryer, I'm convinced every entree deserves a side of these onion rings. The batter was perfection where they arrived to our table perfectly crisp, smelling like indulgence, with a beautifully balanced in batter to onion ratio. Mmmmmmm. This simple addition really made our meal! That's it...oh wait...I guess I should admit that I also ordered the pretzel with beer cheese because how can you go to Woodsons without ordering the pretzel with beer cheese, and in an epic turn of events it reheats beautifully, and tastes just as decadent at home. Thanks Woodson's team for a delicious alternative to an ACless post Beryl house :)

Woodson wedge with the most bland blackened chicken
Rachelle Rare P.

Usually very busy. Disappointed blackening option. I've dined here 2-3 times the first time I tried the blackened fish tacos. The tacos has not a LICK of blackening season. It's almost as if they just put blackening spice to appear blackened than to actually be spicy. The second time I ordered a Woodson wedge with blackened chicken and it was yet again so bland. Blackened chicken is suppose to be SPICY?! Also they cannot make a good cosmo. It's always not enough cranberry or not enough lime juice. Always something missing.

Surf & Turf

Made a last min decision to come here instead of the original fancy dinner plans. Unknowing to us, it was "Surf and Turf" Tuesday - I got a 12 oz steak, 9 shrimp, & 2 sides for about $28! Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the broccoli as it was slathered in butter. My partner got the Texan Burger and enjoyed it. We ordered the spicy watermelon margarita and Paloma for drinks - mine wasn't as spicy as expected but they added jalapeño for me. His tasted just like juice which was unfortunate. Overall, we'd come back and our waitress was great!

Birria tacos

Saw a movie at the theater right there so stopped by here for lunch afterwards. Group of 9 and no problem getting a table about 1pm on a Sunday. Good club type food menu and lots of beers on tap. I had a Michelada and it was great and dressed with tajin on the rim. To eat I had the Birria tacos and fries on the side. Tacos were good but man the fries were some of the best I ever had. Dipping them in ranch was the perfect compliment.

Hat Trick sample plate

This place has the potential. Big bar plenty of seats indoors and out. Good looking menu. I got the hat Trick sample tray and fried mushrooms. The hat Trick was just that. 2 cheese steak egg rolls cut in halve, nachos, 4 wings. Nachos were basically chips and some vegetables. I had to hunt for some damn cheese. Wings and egg rolls were nothing special either and why cut my egg rolls in half length wise ? Mushrooms were decent at most. But the worst was the damn service. The service was horrible and I'm at the freaking bar. I get more attention from Wal-Mart greeters. Seemed like all the staff was to busy yapping and congregating at the waitress station than go check on customers . Welp another one to write off. Til we eat again

Bacon burger

Ambiance: Great dining spot with an open airy patio area and a moody/trendy aesthetic interior area. My group sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and service. I absolutely loved their burgers! The loaded bacon and onion burger was super delicious. Appetizers were great as well! They serve a variety of drinks, including beers/wine/cocktails. I would definitely go back to Woodson's. Fast service, decent pricing. Parking onsite and convenient location.

Blueberry mojito and Bananas fosters dessert!
Benjamin K.

Was out and about with my friends on a Saturday night and stopped into grab a quick drink. Sat at the bar, and even though it was busy we're greeted very quickly and after a few drunk recommendations I went with the Blueberry Mojito, because I just love blueberries and it's Saturday so there are really no rules. My friend started to get hungry and ordered a brownie dessert that looked really good so I decided to order the banana pudding dessert. The drink was really light and refreshing and I'm not really hard to please but I really enjoyed the dessert. Maybe next time I come here I will be more adult like and order a meal. Who knows, when it's Saturday night, there really are no rules!

BBQ nachos
Tracy B.

I swung by to catch some football with friends, and I had an absolute blast! There were so many TVs to watch the game--definitely kept the excitement going. The service was top-notch, and we enjoyed a few ice-cold beers while digging into some mouthwatering BBQ Nachos loaded with House Smoked Pulled Pork. Those crispy tortilla chips, drizzled with queso, BBQ sauce, and topped with coleslaw and fresh jalapeño slices, were the perfect snack! Next time, though, I think I'll ask to have the coleslaw on the side; it was a bit chilly and made everything else cool down faster than we could enjoy it!

Turning 21 soon and I love their food here but-- how's the alcohol? I know there's a big variety of beer but is there anything else?? Wanting to come here for dinner and drinks with my parents.

They have a fully stocked bar.

I ordered the smaller portion of the BBQ chicken salad and I still felt like it was huge. I had to have my husband help finish it! The spinach dip is some of the best we've tried and that's saying a lot as this is usually our go to appetizer for most places. I'm not a tuna fan, so I didn't try my husband's meal, but he was happy with it. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area to just come and chill at the bar. It's very spacious and the restaurant has such a cool vibe. I've never had anything to eat here that I didn't like. Their drink selection is vast, especially if you're into beer. They have Angry Orchard on draft (my favorite) and that's hard to find in a restaurant. This is a great place to grab a drink before going out for the night, but it's also a great place to be your sole destination!

Actually, they have a good size menu and have some American options along with juices and smoothies so It made ordering easy. They also have a full bar with several cocktails and mocktails. Inside right when you enter is the actual bar with about 6 seats which were full with customers during my entire visit. Their happy hour ends at 6pm, but I arrived at 7pm so I ended up missing the discounted drinks. I ordered the cod and shrimp pita which ended up being slightly different than the regular gyro. I had to set it down after a couple of bites since the wheat pita bread is much thinner than regular pita bread and it kept falling apart on me. I also added a mango mojito. With a name like Island Grill, I sort of expected to see more tropical drinks or rum-based cocktails show up on the menu, but this was about the only one. Overall, my experience was okay, but I don't know if it was good enough for me to return.
