I saw the products in Beauty Habit (I shop online with them) and when I saw the alfajores I literally bought everything product from them that Beauty Habit carries. I didn't read about the company at all. I just saw alfajores and I was hook lol. When I tell you this alfajores are legit, the quality is superb and I felt as I close my eyes and savored them, that I was in my native home, eating an alfajor from a confitería down the street, I was behind happy. I also tried the lavender flavor cookies cover in chocolate. What a DELICIOUS treat!!!!! read more

I picked up two bags from too good to go. I received two mint cookies (6cookies per sleeve) and 1 Alfajaro sleeve... these are a steal and so delicious. I just ate a whole whilst having my morning coffee. So good and a steal of deal. Delicious !! (From an experienced home baker) Easy pick up-- and plenty of parking! read more

Great and unique flavors of home made baked deserts, very highly recommended. The quality is perfect.

I bought a too good to go bag and was really excited to try their pastries. I love alfajores and am looking for an argentine baker in the bay! Imagine my complete disappointment when I arrived and the place was behind a secure gate, locked and closed! No one answered the phone, no one ever explained it, I was just left in the dust! scammed! read more

I came here to pick up my TGTG order that was set for pick-up today. When I arrived, I was told its all sold out for the day but he was able to quickly put one bag together for me. It is in a gated building so you will have to call to get the code to get in and the shop is all the way at the end. It was a good bag for $5 and cookies tasted great with coffee/tea. read more

Wooden Table Baking - My Surprise Bag from Too Good to Go order... - Desserts Near Me - Oakland, California

5 orders from Too Good To Go app. 4 packages per order. I've tried the lavender choco & dark choco. They are very good. Balanced sweetness & saltiness. Majority of prepackaged cookies or sweets can be dried out. These are not. They taste very fresh. They are bitter sweet which is the taste I like w/ chocolate. As far as I'm concerned, you do chocolate justice, you're great in my book . The 2nd pic is how an order was bagged. read more

I can't really recall why or how, but we ended up with some sweets at work from Wooden Table Baking. We got them on Monday, March 25th around 4:30pm. I believe we got the traditional Alfajores: shortbread cookies joined with dulce de leche and rolled in grated coconut, Argentine-style. The cookies were good. Nice and soft. The dulce de leche added a great sweet caramel-y flavor. I'm normally not a huge fan of coconut, but it wasn't too prominent here. Nice afternoon treat. read more

Thank you Wooden Table Baking for helping me deliver a last minute temporary gift for my friend's birthday during the Shelter in Place!!! During our humble times at home, I wanted to gift my friend a sweet treat for her birthday during the Shelter in Place. Luckily for me, I stumbled upon Wooden Table Baking and decided to purchase some alfajores for my friend to try. I've had traditional alfajores before and I knew she would also enjoy them as well. I love that Wooden Table Baking offers a wide variety of flavor selections, which is so unique especially for such a rare bakery find that specializes in alfajores (they have truffles too)! The wide flavor selections made it extremely difficult for me to select just one flavor, but to my surprise they also make 3 different sampler boxes to choose from! Each sampler box is $26. The simple sampler has 16 alfajores that includes 4 different flavors (traditional, snickerdoodle, meringue and chocolate). They also have the chocoliscious sampler, which also includes 16 alfajores, all in a different variety of chocolate cookies. The third sampler is the flavor fusion sampler, which includes 16 cookies of unique flavors like lemon ginger and mint chocolate. I ended up choosing the sampler box as I wasn't sure if my friend had tried alfajores before. Sometimes you can't go wrong with traditional! I placed my order online on a Saturday morning. Since they're closed on the weekends, I received a text update the following Monday saying my package was on it's way for delivery, which was perfect since that was my friend's actual birthday (unfortunately, it was only confirmation that the delivery label was created)! Although my friend's box got delivered the day after her birthday (due to my poor planning), Wooden Table Baking's delivery was very quick! I will order more alfajores from Wooden Table Baking again! Their delivery is fast and I've received positive feedback from my friend on how they taste along with some cute photos of her curious dog sniffing away at the sweets! read more

Just a heads up this place is called Wooden Table Baking Co and you'll see that when you go to select grocery stores in the Berkeley and Oakland area. I did my usual trip to Berkeley bowl west and found these amazing cookies near the bakery area and I knew right away these suckers were going to be awesome. I am very familiar with the Argentine pastries called Alfajores because my mom made them for me throughout the years. I will say that nothing compares to my moms recipe but the ones that are made by the Wooden Table company come pretty close. In truth I was in total shock that an American grocery market would carry such distinct product. I'll say that genuine Argentine Alfajores are a rare find in the U.S. Anywho the package of four Gluten free traditional Alfajores were selling for $4.29, which to me is work it because I'm sure I won't find these anywhere. These little sweet gems were exactly what I expected. They were super moist, soft, crumbling cookie with chewy dulce de leche in the center awesomeness! I simply can't wait to try the rest of Wooden Table creations... can't wait!!! Hooray for Wooden Table Baking Co!!! read more

Their alfajores cookies are divine! I also must commend them in customer service. My order arrived incorrectly and they hand delivered the correct order within the day to ensure I had them as gifts in time. Truly could not ask for more. Thank you Wooden Table Bakery. read more

Perfect holiday gift boxes from a local Oakland business. I used Wooden Table to send gift boxes to my remote-working co-workers for the holidays. I HIGHLY recommend this! I got the alfajores sampler for most; they have gift boxes at a range of price points, and you can customize. I was also able to get a no-gluten box for my avoids-gluten coworker. Adorable boxes with a variety of flavors, and so yummy - a big hit with everyone! They have an easy-to-use gift box ordering system, and my orders went out really quickly (during lockdown even!) by priority mail, with a confirming email including tracking info. Great communication. I will definitely be back in the future! read more

At a recent tango event I entered a raffle -- both to support the cause and in hopes of winning the grand prize, a private lesson with favorite teachers. But instead I won a box of these alfajores. I wasn't thrilled because I try to trick myself into believing I don't have a sweet tooth. But WOW. These are the best alfajores I've ever tasted. It was hard to make them last, but I was able to give away three and turn others on to this delicious taste of BsAs. They taste as advertised: quality ingredients, made in small batches. And the packaging is very nice, with tissue and ribbon but very little actual waste. I've been won over and will definitely keep these in mind for gifts in the future. read more

Amazing-ness!!! These alfajores are the most amazing things in the world! I found them at Berkeley Bowl. They come in a small package and seem a little expensive for a couple of cookies, but it's totally worth the price!!! They are labeled "Wooden Table Baking Company." I tried the dulce de leche covered in meringue. I ate all of them in one sitting and wanted more! Go get some! read more

For a work event today, I placed an order of 270 alfajores! We ordered each flavor that Andrea offers and she was kind enough to deliver the night before our event, with the advice that they taste better after the flavor sits overnight. As we plated for the event today I noticed that they still looked incredibly fresh and as the various bites hit my mouth they tasted AMAZING. The crumble of the cake-like cookie is so soft and perfectly balanced with the sweet stickiness of the dulce de leche fillings. Also the ones coated in chocolate or meringue add an extra layer of sweet sticky goodness to the flavor of the dough. Overall awesome alfajores and super friendly service with Andrea. Get yourself a box of these. Now. read more

So glad this is a cafe now! If you can't make it, look for their yummy alfajores in Whole Foods/Farmer Joe's! Wish they had more flavors in the latter, but then that's where this gem comes in! Cashier was incredibly friendly. Store is CUTE! If you haven't tried their cookies yet, go go go! Also, ingredients were allergen friendly, please don't ever change the recipes! read more

Wooden Table Baking Co. made about 70 alfajores for my wedding day and they were a huge hit. Thank you, Andreas and your wonderful team, from the bottom of my heart for fulfilling my wedding day order. The cookies were delicious and the guests (some of whom had never tried these Argentine delights before!) went crazy over them! I will be continuing to support Wooden Table Baking Co. and my sweet tooth by purchasing at LEAST a box a month. ;) Thanks again! read more

I love this company's desserts so much, we had their alfajores at our wedding last year. Guests seemed to love them too. No leftovers! My favorite are the gluten free traditional alfajores. My wife's favorites are the lemon ginger and the espresso chocolate. The company's customer service is excellent, which is especially important during a wedding day. read more

I'm Argentine, so I know good Argentinean alfajores. I recently ordered a box of the traditional ones for my dad's birthday. I wanted to give him a taste of home. When we opened the box and tasted them we were both blown away!! They were the best Argentine style alfajores we have ever had in the USA. Super impressed, this is what a good alfajor should taste like! the cookie was simple perfection, it just melts in your mouth and it had the perfect amount of dulce de leche in the middle.I cannot wait to buy more. These are homemade like, artisan type of alfajores, the kind you can only get in bakeries in Buenos Aires. I am sooooo happy to have found this company. I recommend the original or chocolate for authentic flavors (sorry but Argentinians don't eat chipotle, ginger, snicker doodle and the like but I guess you have to cater to US foodies...) read more

We used to live in Argentina where we were first introduced to alfajores. When a friend brought Wooden Table's alfajores to work, I fell in love all over again. These are as authentic as you can get. First time triers were hooked! So glad to have found Wooden Table alfajores that I just ordered several gift boxes on line! Enjoy! read more

I love love love Wooden Table Baking Company - this is a true testimonial! About one month ago I wanted dinner + a sweet treat, and found myself in the nearest grocery store, which happened to be Whole Foods on Telegraph in Berkeley. After grabbing a dinner wrap, I spent many minutes in the baked goods section, including the bulk mini-cookie display, where there were *many* options to choose from. I looked at all of the brownies, cookies, short breads, donuts, you name it, and WTB Co.'s Chocolate & Mint Alfajores stood out as simply the best thing going! I bought them, ate them happily!, and put the remaining alfajore in a simple paper bag in the pantry. I found / remembered it over a week later . . . the treat was not just still tasty, but better than ever, especially slightly warmed. : ) Thank you Wooden Table Baking Co. for baking such deliciousness with love and sharing it with the world! xo read more

For my daughter's birthday, I always send her a sweet that she loves, but wouldn't ordinarily treat herself to. Last year, it was Parisian macaroons, this year I searched out alfajores (the yummy dulce de leche cookies from Argentina). After rejecting mass produced versions available through Amazon and Costco, I went for a small business in Oakland. The owner, Andrea, couldn't have been nicer, the cookies were reasonable (nicely packaged assortment of flavors), made it up to Tacoma a day early, and my daughter was thrilled -- said they were soft, fresh and soooo yummy! The picture on her I-Phone said it all (I was jealous). You have to root for small proprietors who put their heart and soul into their business. read more

I originally got some of these at a deli in Pismo Beach, and have been ordering them online ever since. The meringue alfajores are amazing and we get the pumpkin spiced ones during the holidays. They make great food for parties and gifts. We've gotten both the full size and minis. I kind of like the minis so you can have a smaller snack when you want it. If you want more, you can always have two! read more

Sometimes you can just tell when food is made with an abundance of love and care. The alfajores from Wooden Table Baking Company are a prime example of this. The flavors of the natural ingredients shine through in cookies such as pumpkin spice, chocolate chipotle, snickerdoodle, and peppermint bark. We love the cookies so much that we had them served at our wedding. read more
