Purchased a last minute bicycle for a Christmas gift. The selection was great, plenty to choose from even on a high demand week. The prices were very reasonable as well. The purchase was pretty straight forward - knew exactly what bike size and color we wanted to purchase. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because after a long drive there, I asked if there was a customer restroom. The gentleman said, "You aren't going to sue me are you?" which I don't feel is relevant. Maybe they have been sued before? I don't know what that was about. I had a squeak in the rear tire ,and they requested a $40 deposit for the estimate going toward the repair. When I got the bike back a few days later, still had to squeak they took the money.. !! AVOID AT ALL COSTS !! If I could give Woodcrest Bikes zero stars, I would. I brought my electric bike in to have the rear brakes bled and to diagnose a "death wobble" in the handlebars at speed. The employee said he would try tightening my forks and, if that didn't solve it, I might need new forks. Fair enough -- I trusted them as supposed bike experts. To be clear, I did not come in asking for a fork upgrade. I came in asking for my death wobble to be fixed. If that meant buying new forks, no problem -- if it actually solved the issue. When they called saying my bike was ready, I showed up to find my brakes untouched and the wobble still there. The employee insisted again that I needed new forks. I reluctantly agreed, and he tried to charge $200 for them -- even though the exact model was $159 online. The only positive here is that they price-matched. I left my bike with them, expecting the issue to finally be resolved. Three weeks later, I got a call saying the new forks were installed... but the wobble was still there. Then, unbelievably, he demanded I pay for the forks anyway. I reminded him that I only wanted the problem fixed -- and that he was the one who said new forks were the solution. I offered to pay a diagnostic fee and for the brake service, but he refused and said I couldn't take my bike until I paid for the forks. The situation escalated quickly -- the employee became rude and unprofessional, blaming my "riding style" and even saying, "Who rides a bike with one hand?" He then went on about how "my dad owned three boat repair shops" as if that excused the poor service and the terrible lack of business knowledge. At that point, I had to call the Riverside Sheriff because the employee refused to release my property. Despite receiving no paperwork or documentation throughout the entire process, they claimed that a simple text about the forks counted as a "contract." In the end, I paid just to get my bike back and will handle it through other channels. Bottom line: Unknowledgeable Unprofessional Scammers Zero accountability Save yourself the headache and take your business anywhere else. read more

We spent $1200 and are left with two bikes that don't work. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! Its pains me to say this but the "Once" great Woodcrest Bikes owner by Bob and Julie is no longer Great anymore. I recently took my son's Electric Scooter in for new tires. Simple enough. The guy in the back said he could probably order solid tires (if he could get the right size) and my son was excited about that. He told me they'd be roughly $50-$100 so I said ok. After some time had gone by, they call me and tell me it's ready for pick up so we head down there to get it. I immediately can tell the tires are not the same width and don't fit right but they assure me they are fine. Here's where the real problems start. I ask them how much so I can pay and they tell me $260 which of course my jaw dropped. I told the girl behind the counter that I was told $50 to $100 and she then points to a hand written sign behind her that say "$100 dollar charge to work on electric scooters". Now mind you, this sign was never there before and no one had mentioned anything like this to me. I told them that's robbery and more than half of what I originally paid for the scooter. They won't budge so I pay it, reluctantly of course. I did get a call when I got home that they were gonna be very nice and refund me $60 and only charge me $200, which is still a joke. That night my son tells me that when he turns, the tires are rolling and fell like they are gonna fall off the wheel. The next day, that is exactly what happened. So after maybe riding it for a combined total of 1 hour, the back tire rolls off the wheel and it can't be ridden. So I call them up, tell the what happened and they tell me to bring it in. I bring it in on a Monday. Almost immediately I notice that the "$100 dollar charge to work on electric scooters" is now gone which I find very strange. I leave them the scooter and get a call a few days later saying that they went ahead and put the old tires back on and I can pick it up anytime. What?!?! You put the old tires back on when I brought it in for new tires. So I tell the guy that's fine and I'll be expecting my money back which he then tells me that they will not be giving me my money back because of the time they have had to spend and the tires that they can't return (wrong size tires by the way). So of course, I'm blown away and tell them hell no!! I told him I expect new tires so he tells me that he will get new tires on it. I get a call a few days later that it is ready. I go to pick it up and see that one of the old tires is on the back and a new tire is on the front. At this point, I'm pissed! Oh ya, I notice that the "$100 dollar charge to work on electric scooters" is not there again. So now I know that they only put it up before I came in to originally pay. There is no manager at this point and only the counter girl who says she will have the owner call me about the cost and lack of work done, but of course I never receive a call. I will never do business with this place again and will spread the word to all I know to do the same. Jordan the owner does shady business and is a loose cannon (really I mean loser) that invited me to his shop after literally breaking my two Mountain bikes (1st one cost $5,000 Giant Trance E Pro and 2nd $2,500 Haro E Bike). We brought these bikes there for Tune-up and other upgrades to the brake as we carry our kids on these bikes. Our bikes stayed at there shop for a week and a half & when we go to pick up our bikes they both have brand new issues. Haro (literally Brand New) not working they basically said I did something to my bike within 30 mins of picking it up and had to take it right back. They "fixed it" and shared they did something that caused this issue and it was "fixed". One of the staff there asked my wife & I to leave them a good Yelp Review on Yelp when we initially picked up our bikes... Now our Scheduled family bike ride outing was not going to happen my wife & I gave them kids lunch & put them down for nap time. When I got a chance to test my giant the gears didn't work! I have had this bike since 2019 with no problems other then the brakes and needing a tune up. After turning into a deflection artist & trying to assert his dominance for some reason, (Jordan the Owner) and saying a plethora of ignorant fecal matter on the phone, Jordan told me to come up there to get a partial refund for services as this was my 3rd time that same day taking my bike back to his shop, loading these heavy bike in & out of my truck hoping they fix what the broke right. My wife called the shop and asked could he give us our refund without going back up there again Jordan said no. Mind you I spent about $2k on bikes for my kids, bike service, and Accessories. We went back up there again just for Jordan to say he didn't touch the gears on my Giant Trance E & he would not refund me on that after I didn't let him take my bike to the back of his shop. We brought our bikes there so he could confirm what I told him on the phone, why do you need to talk my bike to the back, I made it clear that I want a refund not your "repairs". Then he flat out refused to look at the Haro that didn't work at all. Going the route "we have to take your bike to the back of the shop & it is our policy". Smh. If he just turn the bike on and hit the throttle or the pedal assist he would see it didn't work. After continuing to spew fecal matter and accusing me of doing something to my bikes, Jordan not only refused to refund us the labor cost, he said he called the Sheriff's saying we are trespassing.. This is after Jordan invited us to come back to the shop, demanding it in fact if we wanted a resolution. We are paying customers how can you trespass us and you required us to come into the shop to potentially get any type of resolution. Jordan was very aggressive on the phone and very slimy in person. We went here 3x on Saturday in two trucks, one with the bikes and the other with my wife and 3 kids all under 5 yrs old. We all were excited to go on our bike ride (before the rain hit) for the week and a half our bikes was at Woodcrest Bike Shop obvious getting abused. But all this is my fault because I should have realized that a good or ethical bike shop would not work on two very expensive bikes that they do not sell in there store but Jordan and his staff played nice until I gave them my business and turned into something else as soon as it was a problem. After spending $1,100 we still have to talk our bikes to another shop to get fixed for the things they broke and who knows how much that will cost. In addition, my wife's Haro had some kind of chemical all over it and my Giant was not missing the tire cover valves and the Grips I spent about 5 minutes selecting with Jordan, of course he put on the wrong ones and didn't say anything. Lastly, my wife and I are small business owners and my wife is a homeschool teacher as well. We are very involved in the community and support small businesses in our community. I really wish I could rate this place higher. I believe I tried coming here a few years before the whole rona situation and I couldn't remember why I did not get my bike tuned here. But I think I got my answer with today's experience. The knowledge is there, the staff is there, the sales/savings are there but man does this place lack of customer service. I really would've rated this place lower if it wasn't for Kathleens discount or removal of a fee without even asking. And it's like the discount really made the difference her since I was willing to pay for the full amount but because it was the first and only time that I felt I was being treated like a fair customer. Poor communication and poor customer service as a whole and across multiple staff members and perhaps even the owner is the flaw to this place.
