Food was delicious. There weren't many people there when we ate so we were able to go to the back and get a booth (we had the kids with us). It's relatively self serve- you order at the front and you get a disc; once it goes off, you go to the back and pick up your trays. Pretty quick for a small place. On street parking available. Definitely worth the spot. Decent drink menu and lots on tap. The only thing that keeps me from giving 4 stars is the fact there wasn't a server so when you're out of drinks you're out, unless you go up to the front which isn't difficult to do, but I was expecting full service. I always thought this place looked cool so we decided to try it. We came in and it was fairly crowded but not packed. Still it was hard to get service at the bar. So we sat at a table. It just wasn't very welcoming and i didn't like the vibe. Finally someone did come take our drink orders. The drinks were ok. The best part was their big square ice cubes. I would like to update my review. It's been 5 years. Since then, March first Brewing took over and really stepped up their game. New food and drink menu, more cocktails to choose from. Wine, well made drinks and even their own signature whiskey. They've even extended the patio where there's a fire pit and live music. We came on a Saturday afternoon. My Mr.s friend was performing and plus we wanted to have lunch. You order from your phone, and they will bring it to you. Takes 15-20 minutes depending how busy they are. You order your drinks at the bar. When closing out your tab , you can combine your food and drinks. We ordered: Woodburn green salad w/ chicken (full size) Cincinnati burger week burger w/ fries Square Pants wheat ale La Vielle Ferme brut sparkling Hunka hunka hefe peanut butter hefeweizen Neptune IPA Old Fashion All were great. Just moved into the walnut hills neighborhood and decided to take a neighborhood foot cruise with a couple friends on a weekday evening. felt a brew was appropriate so we checked this spot out. with it being our first time we weren't really sure about the menu/ordering etc and the First Gentleman didn't really seem interested in helping us out.. but after standing there for a few mins a young lady came out and greeted us, asked if it was our first time, gave a run down of the operation and we ordered our beers! I was lucky enough to be there for opening night and enjoyed the Coffee Blonde Ale and the Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout poured by a friend working at the bar. The brewery will eventually add food service and I got to meet the food director who teased the coming of elevated bar food, including sliders, wings and house made pork rinds. I've passed by this place so many times, finally made it inside. I'd love to go back when the patio is open during some nice, warm weather, but I'm glad I can finally say I've been here. Great place to start. The place itself has a very relaxed, 'let's sit and chat for hours', kind of feel to it, as a brewery should. I was really impressed to hear about their collaboration with the conservatory using some of their fruits and herbs in the beers. I thought that's a pretty unique way to be different than the rest. There were a lot of great beers to choose from with a huge range of types, from a sour to an ipa to a cider, and everything in between. I am glad that they have so much more to offer than thirty variations of ipa as so many craft breweries do... I digress. We came here with a big group on Friday and it was perfect! I just got a puppy and this was an amazing dog friendly place to take her. Even though we came at ~7pm on Friday, we didn't have trouble finding a table even for a group of 10. The atmosphere is chill yet fun and very well decorated - lots of exposed brick and hanging plans that gave it a modern rustic vibe. The only downside is that there weren't TVs in the outside area (no covering to protect them), so we couldn't watch the Reds game outside AND bring the dog like we wanted to. I have been here a handful of times. Most of the time, I find a couple that I like. However, my husband likes most of the beers and he likes the chips and salsa from a local business. I did get a chocolate cherry stout that tasted EXACTLY like a cherry cordial candy, which I ADORE! So, I had a few pints of that one. We've been coming to Woodburn pretty consistently for the past couple years as our "chill spot." When we want a nice, low key night out with friends, we always stop at Woodburn first then Myrtle's across the street. As for Woodburn, their beer selection is one of the best in the area. They don't go overboard on the IPAs, which I really enjoy. I recommend a flight, since the selection is vast. Or, prepare to have more than one beer while you visit. It's hard to narrow down the choices! Often times, Che is out back, serving up empanadas; 3/$10 or $4 each. I recommend following Woodburn on Facebook, to keep up to date with their events. Most recently was their 2 year anniversary and they pulled out all the stops! Hourly trappings, a DJ and Che! Aesthetically, Woodburn has the perfect combination of wood, metal and exposed brick. I loved all three of the sours I tried but ended up going with the blueberry one whose name I'm completely forgetting. The atmosphere is perfect. There's tons of natural light coming in from the windows. There's shiny brewery equipment chilling in the main area, you can bring dogs, etc! Day drinking was perfect there. They've updated their menu and it's wayyy better. The Woodburn salad is legit one of the best salads I've ever had in my life (goat cheese, almonds, chicken, butternut squash and cider vinaigrette).
