I can't say enough good things about this place, I've been coming here since I was a kid because my family owned some race horses, and still come to this day. The thrill of racing is something everyone should experience if you haven't yet! There's food inside along with a Tim Hortons and a hot dog stand outside. The people are always friendly there, and you can see the horses getting ready for the race in the paddock and then head up to the track to watch the race. If you're into betting, there's live betting on site for multiple racetracks and TV's displaying all races. There's even a casino inside as well. Basically, there's something for everyone!

This is for the Stella Artois Terrace. Definite 5+ stars for location. Seated right above the finish lines for all three tracks is awesome. So glad we did it. Had the Thursday "Date Night" special for 2. Food and service was first rate. Since there is only evening racing once per week, this is a must visit if you're here on a Thursday.

We were at the newly renovated Woodbine Casino now known as the Great Canadian Resort and Casino. The Northern Lights Bar was great, however...The service was excellent- but....they have NO CANADIAN BEERS!! Budweiser is their primary selection! Except for Stella Artois and Guinness, those are your exceptions! How's that for supporting Canadian beer brands!

Steak and lobster tails dinner special

Woodbine racetrack and casino is a fun place. My favourite part was the slot machines. Loved the dazzling lights and sounds. The race track was boring for me because we waited a while for the race, and eventually one came on. And that was it. My main objective was to go for dinner. As a member, you can get the steak and lobster tails for $15. So I signed up for membership, and ordered this dinner special. Within 5 mins of ordering, the dish came out. The steak was not medium rare, it was more medium. The lobster tails were little ones and a bit overcooked and dry. The veggies were fine though. For $15, I didn't expect much. So that was that. The restaurant was nice. We sat right by the window where we got an amazing view of the racetrack. The service wasn't overly friendly, and the server had zero knowledge of the races. Interesting experience. Worth a visit if you haven't been before.

It was my first time visiting Woodbine casino & racetrack, would like to share a few impressions about the place. The line to apply or got a duplicate loyalty card is extremely slow, don't waste your time. The casino has a large variety of slot machines and some tables, the place is very crowded, lay out is horrendous, slot machines generate a tremendous amount of heat and some locations are too hot, they urgently need to upgrade their air con system. Cafeteria: You will have to pay $4.20CAD for a bottle of 0.5LT water to quench your thirst, and an employee killed a bug on top of the counter, lost my appetite, and after that, didn't want to buy an overpriced sandwich. On the plus side, there is no smoking in Canadian casinos, there is a convenient parking lot shuttle, and lastly I believe is the closest to Toronto Metro. Casino Rama being the other about 2.5hrs away.

This is an impression solely of the racetrack, from an individual with zero knowledge on horse races. We visited on Queen's Plate 2019, on a Wednesday evening. Reception was friendly and was really helpful. We got to watch in the Post Parade Room by invitation, which was directly above the seats and had a nice view of the track. In addition, our table had a screen, so we could see the action live and on TV; a bit excessive, but sure. I betted on a horse named "Excommunicate", who placed 6th out of 9. Our table ended up breaking even. Otherwise, I had a pleasant day here. It's not my usual cup of tea (horse racing isn't for everyone), but if I were invited to come here again, I would hesitate to say no.

Lot of time between races... Place was packed on Saturday. Walked in, picked a random horse to WIN.. won 20 bucks, turns out it was the favourite.. Left a winner! Slot area PACKED, I feel a sense of SADNESS, lot of money being wasted. I also like free parking.

May 18, 2018 - Woodbine Casino has a few restaurants to choose from there is HoofBeats and Willows Noodle Bar on the main floor and the second floor has the food court where you'll find delicious Southern-style chicken. I love the fried chicken, It's very yummy. I prefer this fried chicken more than any other fried chicken spot (not that I have tried many, but so far I like this one the most). Side note: if you have a winners circle players card you can get vouchers for the restaurants in the casino. We got a $30 food voucher. After playing for a while we wanted to get some food to go, so we decided to order more chicken to take home but the food court was closed *so sad* So instead we went to HoofBeats, I took my number (B85) at that time they were call numbers in the 70's.. as we waited for our # to be called we played on the near by machines. We ordered a different types of sandwiches. They all tasted good. I will be back but I want to try Willows Noodle Bar and the Chicken and waffle

Slot? Poker or Live Horse Racing? You can get all the above at Woodbine Racetrack. I usually try my luck with the slot machines but I am never that lucky. I found the slot area is quite crowded with machines packed a little too closely together. Last week was the first time I checked out the horse racing area. And I think I might be converted to make my "donation" on horses instead of slots. I like the atmosphere and with the view of the race track while I pick my winning horses. The auto betting machine is quite easy to use. And of course the Queen's Plate held every year at Woodbine Racetrack is the place to be if you are into horse racing.

Rude security

RUDE SECURITY DOWNSTAIRS - almost charged at me!! I have a video of him going after my arm. Older security man in his 50-60 asked me for ID and I joked saying I'm 15, I'm actually 30, while he held my ID. The man was rude and said "LEAVE, it's not funny" I asked if he was joking, he said no - leave now! Niagara casino and border security is more lax. Security upstairs for tables already let us through prior to this incident. OLG has been emailed about this with a video. Manager was called, Charles, did not help and said we can file complaint under OLG - would not let me use him as a ref or get his contact information. We weren't allowed in, and we left, manager took securities side and did not explain why security is handled in this manner. The man was very rude and it was unacceptable behaviour.

What a raucous time we had at K1! New to go karting, we didn't really know what to expect. We were…read morenervous naturally, but after a practice round where we were allowed to stretch our metaphorical legs, we really picked it up quickly! The staff are SO patient-- there are tons of kids running around and vying for attention, and they were so calm in how they handled it. Polite, safe, impeccably professional. The space is large and clean, there's ample parking, and many cheap food and drink options.

We came about an hour early before our check-in time but ended up having to wait another 30 minutes. It was quite packed the day that we went! Because there were so many people, we had to race in sets. We bought 3 races, and in between each race we had to wait another 20ish minutes to go again. There is an arcade to kill the time, but the prizes were a bit lackluster so we didn't bother playing. It was nice being able to watch the other races, however, even being able to stand in the go-karting area off to the side. Even with a driver's license, go karting is a different breed. I found it pretty hard to steer cleanly while going fast around the corners. My kart often stopped for the first race (probably due to my own poor driving) but I got a bit better later. I was definitely humbled by the guy who passed me in his own customized, shiny helmet, who turns out, was on the leaderboard. I also liked that the stats of each race were printed out so I could see just how slow I was. Overall, it was pretty fun experience although I am definitely not cut out for go-karting. There were a ton of parties here celebrating, so it's well-built for large groups. It is on the pricey side, but that is typically of go-karting courses. Great for those competitive streaks!

When we got there at 6pm, we were the only people there. Eventually two other groups of people arrived, but I thought it would be more packed if they say it's one of the best go karting places. The ad definitely did a lot of fluffing; it's not as great as the description or pictures seem. 2. Location is hard to find. The first time we went, we got lost and we were an hour late. not only roads have 2 names, but entrance wasn't clear, and you don't see the kartway sign until you drive all the way to the end of the parking lot and around the corner. 3. Because location was hard to find, we were an hour late (7pm). When we got there, people booked their time slots and we had to wait almost 2 hours for the next heat. Since bookings are first come first serve, we couldn't book it in advance. Sucks because we had to plan another day to come again. 4. Staff is friendly, but they seemed bored of doing the same thing. It sucked for me because as we were getting ready for our first lap, they told me i wasn't tall enough to ride in the senior karts (even with two booster seats), meaning i couldn't ride with my friends and i had to race alone. or i could get a refund. sucked either way, so i watched my friends do a lap. It was after a while where they were able to find that i could fit in one of the smaller the senior karts. Karts weren't smooth, but i guess it's better than not racing at all. 5. Karts are not all the same speed. I went in kart #15 and #6, and they're both jerky, and bumpy. you would press the gas, nothing happens unless you press it really hard. maybe it's just me, but the break pedals aren't very sensitive either. 6. Helmet wise, we had to wear a red hairnet underneath. That wasn't an issue, but I have a small head, and the smallest helmet they had (junior, medium) was too big for me! when i was racing, the bottom of the helmet would be where my nose is at. Had to constantly pull it down. After an hour, we were pretty much done. It's a small race track, maybe 6 turns? I think i'd rather race a real car or go somewhere with more energy in the atmosphere. I gave it a 2 star and not a 1 because service was decent and we came here for karting and that's what we got. But overall experience is not very impressive, even with the discount. All in all, i'm not coming back here.

I'm STILL a fan because what I'm about to say will even the stars out a bit. The BAD was that when…read moreassigned starting positions, it is not an option which cart you get to sit because I keep wanting to be in front or behind my buddy within a group of 4-5 of us and was pretty much dependant on us to WAVE others past so we can be racing against each other instead of having someone else inbetween our action. The GOOD is that on Monday[2 for 1($29.00)] it was relatively quiet so around 9pm we were pretty much the only group as the place close at midnight and other patrons were families that only did a SINGLE race or the 2 for 1 deal while my group went for UNLIMITED. The downside is that the tracks and carts are relatively unused, therefore not all carts will have that same performance and TRACTION. Especially if you race within the first few races of the place opening 5:30pm, then it's guaranteed that you will SKID all over as both the tires and track are fresh. Hope that helps!

We had the whole place to ourselves and even got to choose our own playlist ( the speakers are good so this would be a good option for a fun night out with friends on the wekeend too!) Our youngest driver was also able to drive independently, and the staff were so lovely helping him get comfortable and showing him how to operate the kart. We ordered a food package with our event and it was delicious. They set it up buffet style in one of the party rooms and had all the utensils, etc, we needed.
