Video game bars are all the rage. It's definitely fun to do something other than sit at a bar and drink. I like that you pay a cover charge and you can play unlimited instead of having to pay per game. Drinks are decent price. The location is small, so there aren't a ton of seats, or games for that matter. But it's a fun place to go. I wouldn't say it good for large groups though. read more

There weren't as many video games as we thought would be here. It was fun for a little bit but everything is so close together, that you're way too close to other ppl while playing. I didn't care for that. I liked playing pinball the best. Those were cool. Drinks are of course overpriced. It's $10 per person to play as much as you want. No quarters required,unless you want to play the claw machine. Then u need money. They open at 4pm and on Saturday night, closed at 2am. We were only there for about an hour & 40 min. It's probably more fun for little kids to have a birthday party there with lots of friends. It's not a bad deal though if you love retro video games. read more

This was a really cool barcade. The cover charge is $10 for unlimited games which I thought was reasonable. The game selection was just okay - I wish there was skee ball with a working score system and that they had big buck hunter. The pinball and crazy taxi were our favorites. If you find yourself missing the heyday of arcades Zed 80 is for you. For a $10 cover charge you get access to unlimited gaming goodness. The arcade cabinets are varied and cover all genres. They're in good condition and when you find yourself getting tired there's NES, Sega Genesis, and N64 to keep you company as well (goldeneye anyone). The beer selection is great and the burgers are simple and tasty. The arcade cabinets even have mini tables to rest your beer! This place is steps from Danforth music hall and the perfect spot to catch some dinner and games before a show. If you're like me and miss the good old days, this is the place for you. Our second time here and it's always a good time ! $5 all day on Sunday for unlimited games. Bar food is actually pretty good and cheap ! We had poutine and drinks and honestly can't complain. Last time we had Pattie's and fries. Just a cool hangout joint to spend a fun night ! read more

ZED 80 is fun for game playing, and the unlimited games are a good deal for $10. The fries and onion rings are very good but the other food choices aren't so great, disappointingly. The hamburgers are high fat, preformed patties. Poutine and various dogs are mediocre. A decent selection of draft beer is overly expensive; other places serve pints for the same prices, but at Z80 you get very small glasses. We'd like to go more often but it ends up being way too costly for four adults with food and a few beers, nearly $300 with tip, food, beer and cover charge. Staff is quite friendly and bathrooms are clean. We'd rate Z80 5 if food was better and they didn't gouge on beer. read more

Came here for my birthday with my coworker and it was pretty fun. Down from ski balls to street fighter games, it was pretty varied. There's three gaming booths but those are usually hogged by groups of people so it's hard to get one. Couple downsides: when we came, there was a bunch of kids running around, parents seem uncaring. When we left to go eat, and then came back, they were replaced by drunken adults in a small gaming space. There's no food on the menu other than beef Pattie's and the drinks are a bit too high. Nonetheless, a good experience and great checking out at least once. read more

I had some time to kill before seeing a show at the Danforth Music Hall, so when I saw 'Arcade Bar'...I was immediately sold! This location is small BUT packs in a lot of games and awesomeness! There are tons of pinball units, a few booths with games, a wall of arcade games, skee ball, etc. The nostalgia was strong as soon as I walked in. Since I had a concert ticket, it was only $2 at the door for unlimited gaming! Pretty great price for all that fun. I ordered chicken fingers and they came pretty quickly, the taste was decent (honestly - people are not coming for the cuisine!) and prices were great. I think beers are $5? Ms Pac man, Mortal Kombat, Tetris, Super Mario, Street Fighter...this place has all of the classics! I came across a couple sticky buttons, but overall I found everything to be in good working order. So much fun. Came here on Saturday night and it was $7 cash for cover per person (There is an ATM at the door). I think it's around $5 if you manage to tickets online? The games are in much better condition than the ones at Tilt. From Skeeball to Street Fighter, to a whole bunch of pinball machine and foosball, there's a game for everyone. In this new location, it seems like there is a bit less space to just stand around and hang out if you don't get a booth to sit in. Bartenders were super cool and friendly. Beer was good and the poutine and perogies were both pretty decent. Glad there is an arcade bar on this side of the city now. Definitely worth the visit if you're already in the east end! read more

I've been to Zed 80 a couple of times and have enjoyed myself every time. Cheap food, snacks, beverages and arcade games is everything someone could ask for when in need of a chill night out. Perfectly located a 5 min walk from Broadview Station Zed 80 has a $5 cover charge that covers your unlimited arcade game play. They have pinball machines, car racing machines, classic games like Tetris and pac man and sports games like basketball. They also have ski ball and a foosball table and three massive benches with TVs that have retro Super Nintendo consoles and multiple games. They also have a DJ blasting music as well. Their seating is located down the middle of the bar with two massive booths, one on each end, and then smaller booths in the middle. Came here with a group of friends for a friend's birthday party and what a sweet little spot this is! An old-school mini arcade place that has a good selection of arcade games as well as 3 console booths for those console gamers. I can't recall which console they had but that doesn't matter! This place is a pretty neat spot to just chill with friends with some food, cheap drinks/craft beers and games. We all also agreed this could be a nice date spot to bring your date if some of you need some ideas, instead of the traditional board games cafes like snakes & lattes. It's definitely a nice change and I'd definitely return if I'm ever in the area again and wanna just wind down to some arcade games. Nice! A crispy, tidy, extra-sparkly version of TILT! with a creative, nostalgic name. Great looking pinballs. Great trackball games like Missile Command and Millipede. Heartwarming oddities like a dedicated Moon Patrol cabinet really spoke to me as a former arcade goer from the 80s - a time when even the local Mac's Milk might have a couple of arcade cabinets!! A zany pinball machine called Hyper-Ball. A cleaner looking Ice Cold Beer mechanical game machine that's a highlight of TILT!. Great to see one here as well. Beers. Cool tables with Calvin and Hobbes cartoons underlaid. Brilliant. Everything I spied was pristine and in perfect working order. Love it!! Thank you! Suggestion - and it would take some technical ingenuity, i know, offer a prepaid, nifty, photo-based yearly membership account/card that you can either (depending on what the business wants) use to enter all year anytime, use to enter on certain days that the customer selects, use to magically make every day of the week Toonie Tuesday. This place has been on my bucket list for a while and I finally got to go here. Really loved the atmosphere, everyone was so friendly including the bouncer and coat check person. Kudos to the bartender for recommending the watermelon beer - really loved it. Beer selection was on point! Now to the place itself: cover $5 and you get to play all the arcades they have for free. The table tops are basically comic books, good good&beer, and they have a DJ jamming on weekends=perfect hangout spot. They had about 20 different arcade games some very popular (paceman, mortal combat) and some I've never seen before (defender - use a mouse like ball to hit spaceships). All were very fun, I wish there was more variety - more shooting games and maybe board games (?). Pinball machines were the best, we played for a while. My husband and I were looking forward to going to this location that was associated with the original "tilt" on Dundas, but after our entire experience, mainly due to the response from the "former owner/general manager", I am truly disappointed and extremely disheartened. We have always supported Tilt, when we found out that there would be a sister/brother location closer to us, we couldn't wait to go! When we did go to the Danforth location, it was a bit underwhelming. Smaller, cramped and unavailable units. My husband made a comment on zed80's Instagram regarding the unavailable games and then was blocked. He followed up to say he was a supporter and got an unprofessional response, IMO. We will and always will support Tilt but do not appreciate the immature attitude from Nathan Hunter. If you run or own a business, you should always appreciate your customers and any issues. NO MATTER WHAT! We'll still support Tilt even after the negativity. Again, no ill will from our end. Hope you have none as well read more

Not nice or welcoming staff, actually rude. Waited outside in the cold 25 minutes, for the place to open at 6pm, with my 2 sons. My 3-year-old son was in the Wonder-Wagon. As the guy opened the door, he said we stopped allowing strollers and wagons inside. We ask guests to leave them outside as they are liabilities. He then asked if it folded up small and I said yes. He asked if I would mind leaving in outside? REALLY? Would he leave his unlocked scooter or bike outside? This is a brand-new wagon with accessories. If someone walks away with the wagon then what? My liability that's what. They just opened and not many people in there. I could have stayed and if it got busy then left. I go to the Rec Room all the time with the wagon, and they are super busy with huge crowds. Not a problem, I will continue to spend my cash at the Rec Room and never be back to Zed80. Just some advice...put a sign on the door that you do not allow strollers, wagons, scooters, wheelchairs or whatever else you decide, to not waste peoples' time, at the least. read more

Welcome to Tilt Jr! I actually really enjoyed this place. Yes it's a lot smaller than Tilt, but also has fewer people so it balances out. Craft beer, homemade corn dogs, classic arcade games... it's exactly what you expect! Some of the games are super hard and fun to try out for the first time, while others transport you right back to your childhood (hope you still got that old school technique down). People tend to set up camp at the booths with the consoles, but everywhere else people seem keen to share (and might even offer some helpful tips). Great vibes, will definitely be back! read more

We went there expecting a good time and received the complete opposite. My friend and I arrived to play some games and converse while playing some games. We did enjoy the chicken fingers even though they were 10$ which is steep considering our moms made the same quality for about half the price long ago. Then we ordered 4 bottles of Labatt Blue. We played a few games, got kicked off of the fusbol table by some roided out dudes and then tried our hand at a first person shooter. The game hard-restarted 4 times while we were playing and we were fed up so we went to pay. The bottles of Blue were 7$ each! I didn't realize were were at an exotic dancing establishment. All this and the ceiling leaked water on us while we were waiting for the bathroom. I won't be back any time soon. read more

The amazing team behind "Tilt" have done it again with this second "neighborhood" location on the Danforth. Smaller than Tilt but offers much of the same including: popular STERN Pinball games, a few vintage pinballs, private booths running N64s (& other consoles), classic stand-up Arcade Machines and booth seating in the middle. The Zed*80 team did an amazing job designing the physical bar with lots of fun memorabilia. A smaller food menu than Tilt but will mostly likely expand its offerings as time goes on.
