Every other spot in the GTA has been swallowed up by the likes of Splitsville or Ballroom Bowling and turned into an arcade. Makes sense as its where the money is but as someone still enjoying a bit more of a serious bowling spot, I really value a place like Planet Bowl where they open early, don't bother with the disco stuff and maintain good oil and lane conditions. Their early bird special from open to noon is just $23.95 an hour, a farcry from the over $50 an hour the other places charge. Great to see a place sticking to their roots here.

They were repairing half of the lanes (the ones on one side), so they weren't usable, however they had several lanes available. I had made a reservation in advance though, so we were all set in that respect anyhow. Mostly-so, I found the service to be pretty good. Didn't notice any (intentional) rudeness, so all-in-all in that respect, I was pretty happy. Assuming the pricing on their website is correct, the regular prices are pretty decent for most days/nights. We got popcorn with the voucher I had, which ended up being very good. It did make us thirsty though, so I guess that was part of how they made some extra cash off of us :-) The location for me as well as my friend I went with wasn't ideal, so mainly due to that reason, it's not likely I'd return. Otherwise that place was pretty decent all-in-all, despite it being a bit run down.

It definitely adds to the whole experience. What I like about this place is that it's more than just bowling. They also have laser tag and an arcade area with classic games and claw machines. The arcade isn't very big, but it still has enough to keep kids entertained. Pricing is on higher $49.99/hour per lane on weekdays and $69.99/hour on weekends, with VIP lanes available for an extra $10. Shoe rental is extra. They sell food and drinks on site, so there's a bag check at the entrance. It can get busy on weekends, so I'd recommend booking ahead. Overall, it's a solid indoor family spot -- especially during colder months -- and we'd definitely come back again!

This is a no-frills experience, but it's reasonably priced, with amazing staff, and decent party package options. We rented a lane for about an hour, for a family gathering, with ages 4-74, and had a great time (even though several chairs were oddly sticky.) Our party package included pitchers of soft drinks, and surprisingly good pizza! You may bring your own fruit or veggie platter, since they don't offer veg options. Shoe rental is $3.00 and though the shoes are very worn, they did the job. Parish offers 5-pin bowling only, and you can choose cosmic or regular when you arrive. We didn't use the billiard or games room, but it's a cool option to extend your play day. We'd go back for a few more bowling games.

To be honest there are hardly any staff but I did see one of the workers at the tower ride sanitizing the seats in between people. Huge plus! They also have a bar and food as well, no wings. Now the downsides: Keeping a 15 month old entertained in this place without disrupting others experiences is tough. Aside from sitting in a stroller there is not much for them to do. Also, the bowling lanes were pretty strange. 10 pin bowling with a 5 pin ball and a step between where you stand and the lane. Don't come here expecting to practice your skills! It's definitely fun!
