They let me set up my own little cake bar in the restaurant area
Jazz W.

The team at Shamrock ball was super accommodating for my group of 30. They set aside an area for us to be able to have our food and drinks. They coordinated our shoes and lanes in time. The retro bowling is super fun! I would definitely come back again. Only challenge was they ran out of gin but there was another large group.

I get to eat and bowl. Two of my favourite things. Highly recommend as a fun evening out.

We were visiting from the states on vacation and highly enjoyed our time here together!! Worth having to get cash at the weed dispensary across the street (they do have an ATM but it wasn't working when we arrived!)

I love skee-ball, so that was one thing, but the video-arcade version of beer pong was not something I was expecting. The pinball games ranging from the old school cog version, to the 80s version where computers started to get involved, to the modern ones made just this year showcased a real range. What was incredibly exciting was being able to play a number of Mario Kart arcade game races, that I see for three or four dollars a race at other arcades. Couple that with the incredible food options (Deep fried mac and cheese wedges, deep fried mars bars, deep fried... everything!) and at prices that have you snacking and grazing through the whole thing. It's a great place for kids, too. The only thing is kids need to be out by 8pm. But, there's a lot to do before then.

None of the mechanisms work and the staff don't pay attention to manually start them either. So basically you'll solve a problem and wait around and wonder for 20 mins why nothings moving even if you got it right from the start. Then you have to ask for a clue (which they won't give, it'll just be a condescending phrase that tells you to do what you've already been doing.) then after fighting with them for five min they'll realize it's their fault and manually start it, wasting not just our time but our money. 30 dollars a person is just ridiculous for what this is. If you want more fun lock yourself in a dark closet for 30 min and try to get out, you'll probably feel more satisfied anyways. I will say that we did ignore all of the red flags 1. The bad reviews online 2. The two groups that came out super pissed off before us fighting for refunds cause nothing worked for them 3. How the place looked So kinda on us but... Did this for group bonding and I will say we did bond pretty well over how terrible this was and how much we got scammed, so maybe if you want team bonding then this works for you idk? Definitely tests your teams patience....

I debated whether or not to write this review, as my experience was based not on the King Street…read morelocation but rather their setup during the annual Festival Street during TIFF. The item I ordered is actually on the restaurant's menu, so I ultimately decided that it's fair game. They had a few tasty-looking items but I opted for the Jamaican Patty Spring Rolls ("Wagyu beef, jerk seasoning, habanero, jerk BBQ aioli"). I wasn't expecting much more than generic patty filling within the context of a spring roll. I couldn't have been more wrong. This is one seriously, epically tasty food mashup. The Jamaican patty filling is almost insanely flavorful and delicious, and I can safely say I've never had a Jamaican patty that complex and tasty. Using a spring roll as a vehicle is genius, and that amazing aioli takes the whole thing over the top. I enjoyed this concoction so much I ordered it again the next day. It's been a long while since a food item has so thoroughly knocked my socks off. I'll definitely have to pop into Greta's brick-and-mortar location, if only to eat those spring rolls again.

They didn't have enough wristbands for the attendees in the first place, so they had no way to know at a glance who had a ticket and who didn't. Except maybe CHECKING AT THE DOOR and NOT LETTING THEM INTO OUR EVENT? Many of us talked to two different managers, neither were willing to do anything to ameliorate the situation. It ruined the night for a lot of people. If you want to rent it for a private event, now you know what their definition of "private" is.
