This place definitely had a good vibe Going. But it was really over priced. They literally charge $20/hour for pool. If I'd known that I wouldn't have played. Plus their pool tables looked super old! Also, I wanted to order a brownie a la mode, but they were out of brownies. I'd say it could be a fun time if you're willing to spend some money.

First stop for dinner was this place. First thing noticed was all the employees who had gotten off work and were drinking heavily at the bar. This is usually a bad sign to allow this to occur. Most of them were complaining about something work related. Otherwise, food and drinks are expensive in Toronto. The Local beer was $10 and the Buffalo chicken wrap was $23. The wrap was fine, bacon was a nice addition, and sweet potato fries were good too. Was upstairs.

This place is lit and you could have so much fun with the right crowd If you are into bowling, pool, ping-pong, or whatever games you desire accompanied by great food and affordable drinks, this is your perfect spot! The food was surprisingly great compared to other pubs or bars of this category. The staff members are very friendly and professional, and the service is fairly quick even when they are busy. Parking can be an issue, but you can use any of the public parking facilities around this place.

Spring rolls were decent and fries were okay, deep fried cauliflower is in the middle and they were cold

Named after its bowling lanes, that's the best part about this venue, that you can bowl. As for dining, please eat first before you arrive. I was here on someone else's dime so it didn't hurt me too deeply that the food was subpar, but do NOT spend your own money here on food. For the same price as a decent bowl of ramen, you can only just afford a pathetic Caprese salad WITHOUT ANY BASIL or worse, buy yourself the disappointment of having cold tempura cauliflower---I honestly forgot you could deep fry something and still have the inside be cold. You can honestly get a better meal in any grocery store like Adonis and T&T with a hot food section. Overall the people I came with made it fun, but otherwise I would think twice about coming back. Besides bowling, they also have live music on Thursday nights, and while the covers the band performed were decent, it is NOT conducive to chatting if you need to catch up with people, at least not in the dining area on the second floor where they play. Plus the duo covered R. Kelly, who I think we just need to let go of. Other than that, the service was decent--- the servers did their best managing crowds and crowds of people so it was tough for them to clear out empty glasses and plates and come check in on us to take additional orders. But, whenever someone joined the table, they were usually quick to swing by right away, so kudos to the folks for doing their best.

I came here for the first time on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday dinner. We were a group of 17 people and were seated in the upstairs lounge area around 8 pm. Around this time it wasn't too busy but it did start to fill up around 9:45/10pm I've heard a lot of good things about this place but I was a little concerned about the limited menu. I ordered the Raspberry Lemonade, which was just okkkk. It was essentially Sourpuss layered with ice and lemonade. There weren't too many cocktail options, but there was the standard Beer & Wine List with maybe a few interesting cocktails. When it came to food, I was really disappointed in the selection and quality of food. I split two apps with 2 friends and we were all pretty disappointed in what we got. We ordered the Spinach & Artichoke Dip & The Vegetarian Nachos Platter . The Spinach & Artichoke Dip tasted so much like broccoli that is was difficult to find any spinach or artichoke taste in it at all. The Vegetarian Nachos was simply a platter of tortilla chips drenched in half melted cheese with franks hot sauce on top. There wasn't a single vegetable like onions or tomatoes as a topping. It did come with a little side tray of sour creme, pico de gallo and guacamole, and sadly those were the best part of the meal. Safe to say, I have definitely experienced better food and drinks elsewhere, and honestly really doubtful I will come back here. There was honestly nothing unique or exciting that stood out here, and the lack of variety in the food and drink menus really created for a below average experience.

This is a new bowling alley/bar/bistro where Montana's Restaurant used to be (at Richmond W/John Street). Though we didn't bowl, we had a beer while we watched others. Looked like fun! It's $50 an hour per lane before 5pm and $75 an hour per lane after 5pm. Shoe rental is $5. The tunes were good and and the place is loud. There are big screen TVs all over showing sports. Upstairs is the bistro where you can have a bite to eat or play ping pong while you wait for a lane.

The Loose Moose looked like a great place to grab dinner, drinks and watch the hockey game. We were so right! After ordering drinks, Megan (aka 330M) came over to get our food order and she was high energy and we could tell we were going to have fun. She took our orders and got our drinks. Each time she came back we had some laughs. My wife's Mexican bowl came back minus the requested chicken. Megan took care of this in no time and comp'd it for the mistake. WOW - you don't see that kind of service any more. Our food (mine was a chicken avocado club) was hot and so good. We opt'd for the sweet potato fries and Megan said it was a good choice. She was so right - they were excellent. Megan and her partners kept our drinks filled and made sure everything was great. The bar was packed with sports fans and folks coming in out of the cold but we never felt crowded. You could tell this is a popular bar with the locals - always a good sign. Thanks to Megan and the Staff, we had a fun time and awesome meal. If we weren't heading home tomorrow, we would definitely go back again. We highly recommend the Loose Moose for its great food, drinks and Staff. Cheers, L&J Henderson NV USA

I ordered the Steak & Prawns but it definitely lacked flavours. Where I know the server was not being attentive was when I had asked for medium well and it came out medium rare. The prawns were garlicky and flavourful but the steak was definitely underwhelming. We also ordered the Nachos with Chicken (chicken was extremely bland), Calamari (nothing special), Parm fries (probably best thing I had), and the Trio Dip (which was alright). Overall was a mid experience and not sure I would come back, after the way we were treated. 5.5/10 Recommend!

It is, in many respects, exactly what it intends to be: a loud, generous, unpretentious haven for those emerging from Bay Street offices or rallying before a Scotiabank Arena event. The beer programme is the undisputed centerpiece. The selection is vast and thoughtfully curated, spanning local GTA craft offerings alongside storied European imports such as Erdinger and La Trappe. Flights arrive on paddles with coasters identifying each pour -- a charming detail that rewards the curious drinker. One could spend an entire evening simply navigating the rotating taps, and many regulars do precisely that. The kitchen delivers pub fare that, while familiar in concept. Service is warm and attentive on its best evenings, with staff who clearly understand the rhythm of a busy house. However, during peak hours the pace can stretch thin, and a lapse in table attention can surface. The noise level is considerable -- an unavoidable consequence of the venue's scale and popularity. Those seeking quiet conversation will find it a challenge; those seeking energy and the communal hum of a city unwinding will feel entirely at home. For the corporate denizen of the Financial District, or the sports fan looking for a spirited pre-game gathering point, Beertown is a reliable and genuinely enjoyable destination. The beer alone is worth the visit.

I'm not sure if it was our server's break but a couple of other servers came to check on us but couldn't (wouldn't?) take our order until our actual server arrived a while later, which was maybe 20 minutes or so. Not deterred, as we were hungry and thirsty - we ordered the giant beer paddles for our table to share and also a few apps. The beer arrived warm quite a while later and also only had the breweries names on the coasters, not the actual name of the beer so we guessed on a few. The apps were not memorable and were only warmish - so was not blown away. Too bad as the location nearer to me in Oakville was much better in terms of food and service. Even though my office is steps away, I wouldn't rush back.

Ambiance - 4/5: similar to most sports bar, it's dim and loud with a lot of sports games on tv. They had a lot of reservations so the tables were split off for our small reservation. It felt a little tight. There seems to be 2 levels of seating. Service - 3.75/5: we got there early but they were nice enough to seat us early. The host sweetly pulled out my seat for me. It took us awhile to decide what to order but the server was patient with us. He checked in on us a few times. Maybe because the tables are tight, servers kept knocking into my chair seving other patrons and my seat is all the way into the table. Food - 3.5/5: I appreciate that the menu gives little historical moments that happened over the years. we ordered: Spinach dip - comes with chips and pita. Some of the chips were heavily seasoned. The pita is soft but doesnt really absorb much of the spinach dip. The dip itself is light in flavor. I prefer the chips over the pita Steak frites - we ordered medium rare and they got the cook right. The steak knife is very bendy. It should have been a AAA striploin but for some reason it felt tough and was hard to cut through. The charcoal grill marks made the exterior too burnt, giving it a bitterness to the steak. It came with an arugula salad and a very genorous portion of fries. Everything was seasoned well. The arugula salad and the chimmichuri on the steak had a tartness to it which added some brightness to the dish. I typically don't use ketchup but I needed it to help me with the fries. I could not finish the fries Sundae - there's probably only 1 scoop worth of vanilla ice cream. It comes in a cup with whipped cream and berries. Overall: 3.75/5 - If we come back, I might try other food items.
