Also the TV screen that displayed our scores had horizontal lines scrolling down it, and the place where we entered our names and such was hard to see without a flash light (mind you we were there on cosmic bowl night, which was more like disco night). The schedule on their site didn't quite match the days they had cosmic bowling when I called to make the reservation. They were repairing half of the lanes (the ones on one side), so they weren't usable, however they had several lanes available. I had made a reservation in advance though, so we were all set in that respect anyhow. Mostly-so, I found the service to be pretty good. Didn't notice any (intentional) rudeness, so all-in-all in that respect, I was pretty happy. Assuming the pricing on their website is correct, the regular prices are pretty decent for most days/nights. We got popcorn with the voucher I had, which ended up being very good. It did make us thirsty though, so I guess that was part of how they made some extra cash off of us :-) The location for me as well as my friend I went with wasn't ideal, so mainly due to that reason, it's not likely I'd return. Otherwise that place was pretty decent all-in-all, despite it being a bit run down.

It was $45 for two pairs of shoes and a lane for one hour (I'm unclear if this amount included 4 shoes because two friends joined late and didn't have to pay for shoes). 5-pin bowling that is great for kids and adults. They have things to help young kids bowl where they can drop the ball down a little slide to make it easier. I think they do private parties as well. I don't think this place has seen much update since I was a kid, but it's just fine for a night out. The graphics on the bowling screen are really old - probably from the 2000s - but, it tracks your score. Family friendly, or for those looking for a little night out, this place can be enjoyed by anyone. There is a basic snack bar that serves bottles of beer, chips and things like that. Go check it out :)

It's in the middle of a strip mall, with a teeny tiny sign, and you need to go into a door that leads to a stairwell that either goes up to doctors' offices, or down to the bowling. This is bowling as I remember as a kid. They still have the seats that are stuck to the tables but swivel out! There's also a snack bar serving pogos, chips, pop and booze. I think they also do glow in the dark bowling. The one staff person who was there was super nice and great. The shoes were regulation meh, but the place is clean. There are lockers you can rent and a water fountain. It seems that the level of enjoyment you'll get out of the place hinges on how good you are at it. I'm decent. It was a fun time, but the area is kind of sketchy.

Our bowling ball did get stuck a few times and they had to reset the pins but that didn't bother us too much. We didn't keep score as it was manual & I don't know enough to bother. Right from the start, the vibes were on point. We all kicked things off with Guinness (because how could you not on St. Paddy's?), and the fun surprise--they were giving out goodies to everyone ordering Guinness stout. Safe to say, we were easily influenced and happily so. Now to the actual review: this place is popular for a reason. It strikes that perfect balance between high-energy fun and laid-back hangout. You've got a full bar setup with TVs playing live games if that's your scene, and then the main attraction--bowling. With 6 lanes right in the heart of downtown, it's kind of impressive how well they've made the space work. It never felt chaotic, even with multiple groups playing. Food? Genuinely solid. And bonus points for having good vegetarian options (not just an afterthought menu either). Add in happy hour deals and daily discounted dishes, and suddenly you're staying way longer than planned--which is exactly what happened to us. We were a group of 7-8 people and ended up spending around 4 hours here without even noticing time fly. The music absolutely carried the energy through the night--fun, lively, but not overwhelming. Service was smooth, ambience was great, and overall it just worked for a group celebration. Honestly, I could see this place fitting any mood--date night, after-work hangout, birthdays, or even just going solo to bowl and soak in the vibe. Ballroom Bowl Yorkville? Easy 10/10. Would absolutely roll back again

We were scheduled for the first time slot shortly after they opened on a Saturday and had the entire place to ourselves. With an attendant who brought you to your lane from upstairs and grabbed your shoes to another who took care of food and drinks and gave them directly to you, the staff was beyond lovely. The lights, new school lanes that allow you to choose the way your scoreboard looks, and the delicious looking menu (we didn't partake because just simply weren't hungry), this place adds a modern twist on a classic activity that can be enjoyed with friends, family, or a partner.

This is a no-frills experience, but it's reasonably priced, with amazing staff, and decent party package options. We rented a lane for about an hour, for a family gathering, with ages 4-74, and had a great time (even though several chairs were oddly sticky.) Our party package included pitchers of soft drinks, and surprisingly good pizza! You may bring your own fruit or veggie platter, since they don't offer veg options. Shoe rental is $3.00 and though the shoes are very worn, they did the job. Parish offers 5-pin bowling only, and you can choose cosmic or regular when you arrive. With modern technology, it's primarily cashless so from a cost benefit model it works! The games are not typical and keep kids entertained. My favourite is the hungry, hungry hippo game! My son loves the raging raccoon. The food is kid friendly. My son would have preferred they offered juice boxes or some form of real juice. All they offer is fountain drinks. The pizza was tasty and fed four of us easily. Service was generally friendly and staff were knowledgeable. Now the downsides: Keeping a 15 month old entertained in this place without disrupting others experiences is tough. Aside from sitting in a stroller there is not much for them to do. Also, the bowling lanes were pretty strange. 10 pin bowling with a 5 pin ball and a step between where you stand and the lane. Don't come here expecting to practice your skills! It's definitely fun! Just wish they would have options for toddlers.

We had a summer birthday promo applied to the party just in time where we saved on the package. We chose 2 lanes of the Rock 'N' Bowl Kids Party - 10-pin. The party package included: 90 minutes of 10-pin bowling, 1 large pizza, 1 French fry platter, unlimited fountain pop, and a free bowling game coupon for each guest. Shoes included. Each guest received a free bowling coupon for a free game which we included in the loot bags we handed out. We also stayed for the arcade. While it was a little expensive, it was well worth it for the birthday experience. It is very clean inside, with plenty of parking outside. Great atmosphere. Def recommend doing the VIP add on! The wings were okay, but the sauce tasted like it had been thrown together without much care or balance. The fries were average, and the accompanying vegetable sticks were incredibly dry and lacked freshness. The burger was also underwhelming. The meat tasted low-quality, and honestly, it felt like something we could have easily made better at home. The poutine wasn't much better and left us feeling disappointed overall. Our waiter was fantastic, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience more enjoyable. It's unfortunate because the food quality doesn't reflect the level of service he provided, and that's completely out of his control. Overall, while the service was excellent, the food felt like an afterthought. For the prices charged, I expected better quality and more attention to detail. I wouldn't return specifically for the food, but I do appreciate the effort the staff put into making our visit pleasant.

Here at Pro Bowl, we came on a Saturday afternoon, and it was fairly empty and quiet.
