My second visit to playdium with my little one. This location seems a little brighter than the Fairview location. Loud. Arcade games mostly look to be the same offering at the other location, except this location also has an aerial obstacle course and a few that I didnt see at fairview. Food is yuck. I've been to this location many times. I prefer this than the one at Fairview Mall because it's much bigger. The experience is always great, my family and I always have a blast. The food is made fresh, love their pizzas! The place is clean and very spacious which is great, you don't really have to wait to play the games. I would definitely be back again! read more

This is how an arcade should reinvent itself. We were glad to find this Playdium location in Whitby years after the original Square One location closed. The arcade space here is massive featuring many games as well as an elevated rope course and several air hockey tables. We took advantage of the $20 eat up game on deal for kids to have a meal and 1 hr all-you-can-play which can be activated after the meal is eaten to maximize the fun including claw machines. Card fee is extra but can be recharged via a prior game card. There is a large dining space in addition to the party runs ideal for group gatherings. The kids meals were huge, including large pizza slices or burgers that came with fries and a pop drink. Suffice to say our group had a great time at Playdium Whitby for several hours. We miss the old batting diamond at the OG location but this reinvention with Cineplex targets younger kids. Skip it or hit it? Playdium is once again a great place to play and we're glad they're popping up all over the GTA including at this Whitby location. read more

Playdium has upgraded their games since I last visited. There's a lot of claw machines and games where you could win some gift cards, electronics or plush animals. On a Friday night it wasn't very packed. Most of the midway games do not require any wait time. Each game has a different price point. There's a new Fast and the Furious driving game for 28 credits. Pretty steep. I did have fun playing the basketball game and the coin drop game. The snowboard game was pretty fun for only 6 credits. Great place to bring family or date night with your significant other. There's a licensed snack bar serving some bar food favourites. read more

Kids Eat & Play promo is pretty decent. We played for an hour on all the games with the blue lights before heading for food. We came back to use up the 5 free games that get preloaded onto the game band. This was genius on Playdium as they know the kids can't just play those free games and leave! This is a great place to take your kids to enjoy some arcades and/or activities (ziplinging, bowling). Great place to host your kids birthday party as well! Honestly, it's hard to find these arcade spots nowadays. That's why this place is a must as they have some up to date games (including VR shooting games), and 4D games. Love this place. I've never been to Playdium before; this was my first time. I went during the family day weekend, and it was very packed. It was hard to play the games we wanted as everything had a big line up but after waiting a couple minutes per game, we managed to have a lot of fun! Even though there was a lot of people, the staff remained calm and was extremely nice. They were helpful on the rope course as well, which was very fun. I also had a chance to go to the Brampton location the weekend after I came here. I'd say I prefer this one much more. read more

Even though we chose family day weekend to come to Playdium for the first time, and even though we were surrounded by kids half our age or less... It was so worth it. I decided I had to go after watching some reviews on insta, and I'm so glad I did! Relived my inner child big time, with so much to do and so many games to play. There's tons of parking, tons of clean washrooms, food that's well priced and places to chill that makes for a full day of never ending fun. And it won't cost you too much as well with most games ranging from 5-15 tokens and big things like the rope course being 50. We were there for 3 hours and used about 80 to 100 tokens, and played almost every game and did the rope course! The arcade games are really great, with classics like ball drops and new VR type games as well. There's bowling alleys as well which you can use credits for, and my absolute favourite -vThe rope course. Even though I got shamed by the 5 year olds whizzing by me on the obstacles, I loved it all the same! Definitely be back to use the rest of my tokens, and buy more! read more

How can I put this. Overall they did a decent job to have Playdium at a much smaller scale than the past. But the problem I have the time based purchase didn't work for all videos as specified. I get that I can't use it for the VR or claw games. That makes total sense. But there were other games that it didn't work for. Not a great start. Then over time the place got so crowded that kids could barely play anything because there was just too many ppl. I guess it was my fault to coming on a Saturday but I expected the place to have enough machines or they would stop letting people in. If u must come, pick a time that isn't the weekend or maybe early morning. read more

Brought 5 kids to this location today and bought them $50 credits each. Told the cashier I had my Scene+ with me somewhere but felt bad for holding up the line to look. Was told I could earn the points after the purchase with my receipt. Got home later and found out that it's not possible. Either she lied or didn't get proper training. read more

I came here on a Sunday evening for a special corporate event being hosted in one of their party rooms. The food that was catered was delicious. The service was extremely friendly taking drink orders. They moved us to another section of the playdium due to the room time ending but allowed us to take all the extra food over. The arcade games in and of itself were super fun and really clean and new! Usually after playing at Dave and Busters or Rec Room my hands feel so grimey. But not here at Playdium Whitby. Great stuff. Would totally come back and reload my wrist band for more fun! read more

We had heard many good things about other Playdiums, and were looking forward to trying this nearly opened one in Whitby. Sadly after over $80 spent and an hour's playing time we left feeling underwhelmed. Whilst there are a number of video games, there's also many of the "collect tokens" type of games that then reward you with cheap dollar store merchandise unless you literally spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars playing to get a Lego set or large plushy. The noise level is unbearable, there are no sound deadening tiles in the walls or ceiling, and so every machine is a battle of noise with the others in the building. It became painful by the end of the hour, I was thankful to go outside for some quiet. The food is overpriced and looked unappetising. We refrained from ordering anything, but overheard other guests expressing disappointment with the pizza and fries. read more

This playdium is not as big as you'd think it'd be, but it still has a lot to do in it. They have a large selection of arcade games, mainly shooting or racing - it makes sense since they have a play pass for 2 hours where you have unlimited access to games. The bowling was pricey & a bit of a rip off, it is very clean but the price you pay for one game is as much as multiple games at other alley's. They have a cool VR laser tag game, and a rope jungle gym which I'm most likely going to try next time. The food was pretty expensive, I'd rather go to the other restaurants in the plaza. read more
