OHYO Spree, located near Yonge and Dundas across from Ryerson, is finally open! I am glad to see that there are more fun things to do in the area. This claw machine arcade had a plethora of machines with cute plushies and is within walking distance to Eaton Centre so its better to take transit there than to find parking. You can also collect points if you are a VIP member to trade up for larger prizes. Also, their membership card can be used interchangeably between their North York and downtown location.

I had gone here before as a customer and it was always a fun time. The staff who work here all are excellent. They love their job!! It's so fun here. Lots of nice prizes you get a little cart to manage and yes take one cause weekends its impossible to get one. There's many many selections of claw machines. The most popular is the ones with the pokemon toys or the SpongeBob. Do inquire about being a member that way you get a surplus in tokens with every purchase.

All the plushies we won!

We were here with my little cousins and a great spot to burn 1.5hr of time after that I felt like…read morewe were pretty much starting to drag our time here (that's if you don't plan to eat here). The arcade games are mostly in good order. Though it was kind of awkward that the drinks we ordered were in glassware making it a bit challenging to walk around play games while holding a drink. Even soft drinks were in a short glass cup and volume was lower than expected. While they do have small counters around the arcade games to hold drinks, I think there should be more as there was a section that didn't have any counter and I was just holding people's drinks while they played. We also ordered the espresso martini, while it taste just fine, it didn't meet our expectations as there wasn't a thick foam or espresso beans. He did ask how it was and we mentioned the beans and the bartender did add it in afterwards. Some unique games that I liked that isn't even at D&B or other arcades I've been to is the dodgeball where you hit your own coloured targets, the rope race climbing and the pin setter game where you have to prop a glass bottle up with a string and ring (reminded me of those games at the Ex). We really enjoyed the basketball shoot out too.

Visited The Rec Room downtown and had a lot of fun! I enjoyed that they have the option of both the…read morearcade, pool and ping pong, giving you quite the variety in terms of games you can play. I also liked that they offered a coat check-in, making you not have to worry about playing games with a coat on and overheating. Overall, great experience and very nice and welcoming staff.

Avoid avoid avoid. Worst escape room I've done, quite litterally have done FREE escape rooms better…read morethan this. None of the mechanisms work and the staff don't pay attention to manually start them either. So basically you'll solve a problem and wait around and wonder for 20 mins why nothings moving even if you got it right from the start. Then you have to ask for a clue (which they won't give, it'll just be a condescending phrase that tells you to do what you've already been doing.) then after fighting with them for five min they'll realize it's their fault and manually start it, wasting not just our time but our money. 30 dollars a person is just ridiculous for what this is. If you want more fun lock yourself in a dark closet for 30 min and try to get out, you'll probably feel more satisfied anyways. I will say that we did ignore all of the red flags 1. The bad reviews online 2. The two groups that came out super pissed off before us fighting for refunds cause nothing worked for them 3. How the place looked So kinda on us but... Did this for group bonding and I will say we did bond pretty well over how terrible this was and how much we got scammed, so maybe if you want team bonding then this works for you idk? Definitely tests your teams patience....

So many rooms to go through that it made the experience well worth it. My only criticism would be the staff. We didn't escape the room and only had one section left to get through. When the staff came in telling us we were out of time, the normal procedure would be to walk us through what we had left. Instead, the guy said he was unable to finish a walk through because the next group had arrived. It seemed that he was unwilling to walk us through the remaining aspects because if he did, then he'd have to reset all the puzzles... I've been to quite a few escape room locations and never has this happened before, even if the next group had arrived.. Overall the Osaka High room was pretty cool, but I only wish I knew how it ended.....
