I've been to Niagara Falls many times, and have always wanted to try Go-Karting. I headed down this weekend, and made this the first spot to try in the strip! The line was a bit lengthy, but time passed quickly when you're occupied with friends. I loved being able to keep the tickets as memories :) We put on these helmets, which came in multiple sizes, and felt very safe and sound throughout the experience. The go-karting itself was very fun, with many bumps, hills, and 5 rounds which is lengthy. It was very fun being able to challenge myself in trying to speed up and get to first place. I stopped by late morning and there was no line at all so weekdays are definitely the best time to visit. The helmets were in good condition and being cleaned as soon as riders returned them. After a worker scanned my ticket at the turnstile, I was directed to hop into a cart. I had my backpack with me but was able to just buckle it into the side seat instead of using the lockers at the front. I started off slow as the first cart and the drivers behind must've been used to this track so they sped ahead of me. In hindsight it was actually a much better experience for me. I didn't see any drivers the entire time I was lapping the track and could go as fast and slow as I wanted to. The spiral had me turning the wheel to the left for a solid minute, I don't know if it was my cart but it was quite a bumpy drive. At first glance, the top of the hill was quite daunting but I released the gas pedal and let the momentum take me over the hills (I'd imagine you'd go much faster if you kept the gas pedal pressed). Then the track loops back around to the docking area and back up the spiral. The total ride time was about 5 minutes so I was able to get 3 laps in while driving at high speed. It'd be cool if they had options for longer ride times without having to pay the $15 admission again. The helmet was nicely cushioned and definitely do not take it off until you get out of the cart as the careless driver behind me crashed into the back of my cart as they pulled into the docking area. Restrooms were by the exit area. Definitely a super fun and must do experience in the Clifton Hill area! read more

Sometimes the line is long, so try coming on a weekday to avoid long lines. Minimum height for kid riders is 40 inches. You get to go around the track a few laps. Niagara Speedway is closed for the winter season. I was able to get on before the season ended. It was cold. But I enjoyed myself immensely. The time limit is 5 minutes. With a spiral going up 4 stories. And a hill taking you back down. The carts are not super fast. But they are super fun. The staff is there to ensure your safety. I've seen this place get EXTREMELY busy though, we were lucky enough to not have much of a line at all when we went on a Sunday night. l've definitely been to go kart places where you go much faster, and the track can get a little crowded but still a good time! Just make sure not to accidentally hold down the breaks as you're accelerating...its actually pretty easy to forget and you're left wondering why you're not moving. Would say it's worth the price! As far as touristy amusement park rides go, this one was pretty awesome! Those ramps that curved allowed you to sense some G force. And that high ramp at the top was super fun to ride down. It reminded me of those really large slides that's really high in the air. Avoiding lane hoggers wasn't fun. The kiddos wouldn't know about this, but then some adults didn't either. :/ But passing 'em was fun too. Though the hubs and I smirked at people who went to the Ripley's museum and did the touristy stuff in this area, we ran out of things to see and do so this was our last adventure in this area. I never thought I would give a touristy go-kart place 5 stars but here we go. This is probably the best go kart track I've been to out of maybe more than 5 but less than 10 in my life. The ones from my home city are either slower, have really strict rules, or just more expensive. What makes this one unique is that the kart can barely handle the g-force from making your turns up the ramp and the engine can barely handle the the ramp downwards. My phone did slide out of my pocket and I feared that it would fly out during those turns. It was great. I may have been slightly inebriated. I mean just look at the area. Would I come here again? Yes. Passing little kids on the track and seeing the disappointment in their face is one of my many joys in life. read more

I came in with my family of 7 on a weekday. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There were lockers available for our belongings which was convenient. They require everyone wear a helmet which they had a available. We went around the track about 5 times or so. It was a very fun experience. My family and I were excited to give this place a go. The karts were decent, however two of the five karts we had felt like duds. It doesn't feel like a race, it is more just a goof around place which is still good. The price for 5 minutes of ride time is about on par to other places we have been too. Ontario has been waiting for this. this racetrack has been touted as a Canadian real life version of Mario kart, and I see where they get that from. this race has bends and curves and also a 40 foot spiral tower that sends you down a hill making sure that you get maximum speed on the way down. this brand new location is super clean and super efficient on getting the lines through, and the five minutes on the track absolutely flys by. the hair nets for the helmets are a very nice touch, as you don't know how clean the helmets could be. I will agree with others when they say that line ups can be about 20-40 minutes as well, very accurate. there is a parking lot right beside this attraction which boasts over 700 parking spots. a really great experience with this track on Clifton hill, an outstanding addition. read more

I don't care how old you are, there's something about driving around on go-karts that is an absolute blast and this might be the biggest and best track I've ever gotten to ride around on. Dubbed online as the "real life Mario Kart", this large track with plenty of twists, turns, and the steepest Hill I've ever seen In a go-kart track makes for a total awesome time. I was lucky enough to make it here on a Tuesday when the lines were super short and had no issue paying the $12 admission for the fun. The staff was friendly enough and the instructions were easy enough to follow. Once you grab your helmet and get seated you are handed some common sense rules (which definitely need to be read in 2019, people are crazy these days). Overall, I had an absolute blast at the Niagara Speedway and I would highly recommend checking this out no matter the age. If you plan on coming, try and make it a weekday to save yourself from several hours of waiting in line read more

I wanted to give this gocart attraction more stars, but after experiencing the ride itself. 3 stars is more than fair. The track is a nice track, you go up through a spiral incline and zoom down the hill and back through some more twist and turns. All fun and worth the admission of the ride, until you notice your cart is slowing down. Then you realize your cart is being controlled from elsewhere. Yes you are gas powered, but remotely or automatically on your cart. The gas/throttle is starting to cut back affecting your speed. I didn't like that at all. Also it's supposed to be 5 mins a ride. The time starts when the first cart leaves the bay, if your last that time still counts and your already behind on time. Great for kids that have no license. read more

What a fun attraction! SC and I went over the weekend during the midafternoon and the lines weren't terrible. We waited about 15 minutes after we got our tickets to get into the karts. Prices are $12CAD/driver and $4CAD/passenger. There are height minimums and maximums for both driver and passenger. After you get your tickets, you get a hairnet (if you have hair longer than shoulder length you have tie it up and make sure all hair is above the shoulder. They have hairties if you need!) and while you're waiting to get into the kart, you pick up a helmet (ranges from youth small to XXL). You get 5 minutes around the track. I was able to get in 3 laps but if you drive faster you can probably make more :P Staff were helpful and they made the whole process pretty efficient. I didn't enjoy smelling all the gas fumes but it is what it is. The ride's also a little jerky but the course was fun! Tip: parking there is $20CAD. If you want to pay less, there's plenty of lots just a quick walk away on Ferry St that ranges from $5 (short term ie, 3 hour parking) to $10-15 (all day parking). read more

This place was lots of fun... amazing even. It's not your standard go cart track, where you drive around in a large circle, maybe with a few curves. On this track you to have some of that, straights and curves, but those lead to a spiral up that takes you high above the park. What's next is a looooong down ramp that levels and drops several times before you get back to ground and a sharp turn. I couldn't quite get my kart airborne and that my be due to being 230 lbs. However, it felt like I was got close a few times. I wouldn't bother making advanced reservations. The track is efficiently run with dozens of cars moving around the track while another set is being filled. All in all, the line looks intimidating and moves along quickly. This track in in the middle of a larger amusement area with lots of other things to do and across the street from a slew of touristy things. For my money, it's best experienced at night, what with all the colored lights and all. You can get there by city bus with a stop just across the street or walk in 10 minutes from many of the hotels or casino that are a couple blocks up from the river. Bottom line, we had a ton of fun and will go back the next time we're in the area. read more

I'm not trying to get a speed ticket! The price is affordable The wait time is not long at all. I believe we waited for 25-30 mins. They have around 35 go karts going at one time. You ride for 5 mins and that's 4 times around the track. My car was pretty fast but I did see some that was entirely to slow! I loved that they give hairnets for the helmets. Mario Kart inspired? Sign me up! We swung by here to get some laps in and it delivered. $12 for 5 minutes worth of go karting got us roughly 5 laps on a multi level course. The karts aren't that fast and can seat up to 2 people. The additional rider is $4. However climbing up the loop and then coming down was pretty damn fun. Standard go karting rules apply which is don't run somebody off the track but feel free to nudge them into a wall...OK maybe don't do that either. No bumping, rough housing etc, but the staff were cool and for the most part, just let you have fun driving. There is fun to be had for kids and adults! I couldn't visit Niagara Falls without trying this Mario kart inspired speedway track. I loved Mario as a kid and apparently my adult self still does too! When you watch from the sidelines it doesn't seem too exciting. Once you're on the track, it's a blast! The downhill drops and sharp turns really elevated the experience.
