Minimal chewy pork and green beans. Terrible
Cheven L.

This is horrendous dried out, chewy pork for the pork and green beans We spit out three pieces already. Not enough broth in the wonton soup all the wontons are smashed and pasty Salt and pepper shrimp are soggy and not even crispy packed in a plastic with no aerated packaging so that they stayed crisp. Overpriced for terrible food that seems like it's been sitting on a steam tray instead of freshly made per order. We will NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN UBER EATS DELIVERED!

I can believe how this restaurant has low score, food is good, service is great, a hidden Chinese restaurant now they have dim sum, I can just order some and a soup and I am set. Place is clean and the ladies are wonderful. Is a place that I always order my Chinese food take out.

Lemon chicken

Yummy Chinese food, my son and I got the combination fried rice, garlic chicken was excellent and lemon chicken was delicious. We will be back!

Upon entry there is a takeout area where you can order hot meat dishes and to go menu or dine in. We got complimentary hot tea when seated. The interior is a bit dated compared with other restaurants of this type but the food was delicious. We got duck and preserved egg porridge, scrambled egg with shrimp, and a two bbq combo plate of char siu and roast pork. The porridge came out fast and delicious! We ate with the chili and white paper available at the table. Next came the scrambled egg and shrimp. We actually ordered the version with rice, not the entree so the servers got us some rice but missing the gravy. Lastly came the bbq combo plate. We thought it would arrive first since the meats were all ready to go in the takeout area. It came with some hoisin sauce. The char siu was tasty. The roast pork however was not as crispy and kinda mealy so the sauce helped.

Stick with ordering dishes off their menu instead. It's next to a Ranch, so there's plenty of parking available. We came by for lunch on Saturday around noon, and it was mostly filled up. It's not a big restaurant, and tables are placed pretty close to each other. That's how you know the place is going to be authentic lol They have a takeout area where you can get various bbq meats and some hot deli foods, but they also have a large menu you can order from. The four of us ordered the following dishes to try: #2 two item BBQ with roast pork and roast duck ($19.95 + $2 for roast pork) #78 chicken and veggie chow mein ($15.95) #85 beef chow fun ($16.95) #129 sauteed fish fillet ($18.95) #138 fresh squid in oyster sauce ($17.95) My favorite dish by far was the beef chow fun, which came as a huge platter and had really good wok hei flavor. The other noodle dish, the chow mein, was also good with huge portions. The fish and squid were both okay, but portions were small for the price, and to be honest, they were pretty similar down to the veggies used. We probably could've just ordered one. The most underwhelming was the bbq. The duck tasted okay but the cut they gave us was mostly bone and didn't have much meat. The roast pork was way too juicy and the skin, which is usually my favorite part due to the crisp, was tough and hard to chew.

The place is clean and cozy with a comfortable, casual vibe, and the food is super comforting, almost like a home cooked meal. It's a dim sum spot and the ordering process is really easy. You just scan the code at the table and order everything from your phone, which makes the whole experience quick and convenient. We've been here twice now and some of our favorites are the shu mai, sticky rice, and the wings. Everything we've tried so far has been really good. On our most recent visit we also tried the fried tofu. The flavor was great and I ordered the less spicy version. The only small note is that the fried tofu was a little on the saltier side. If they eased up on the salt just a bit it would be perfect. The service has also been great both times we've come. The servers are always kind and attentive and they check in to see if we have any questions or need anything. I always appreciate restaurants that make you feel taken care of. Overall we're really happy we found a dim sum place closer to home. This has definitely become one of our go to spots and we'll be back again soon.

Everything I had was laden with this heavy, greasy, fattening stuff. If you're a fan of cooking oil, this is your go-to spot for sure. I had the "gourmet" dinner. That means Mongolian beef, my usual in basic old-school Chinese places like this. I chose won ton soup over the seafood soup choice. The broth was fine, but the won tons were thick and doughy. Not great. The beef seemed of a decent quality, but was absolutely floating in oil. This made the green and white onions too soft and mushy and dripping with oil. Ditto the very messy foil wrapped chicken appetizer, but the egg roll was okay, if bland. There are plenty of excellent choices for all types of Chinese cuisine in the Valley. No need to come here. Again though, remember I only had one dish, but I have an idea it's indicative of the entire menu.

We had two orders of slippery shrimp, kung pao chicken, eggplants with hot and spicy garlic sauce, juicy steamed dumplings, and pork fried rice. Overall, both restaurants in Chinatown and Pasadena provide great food quality. The ambience was cozy with dim lighting. Our round table had a wooden rotating tray. They have pictures of celebrities and politicians who've visited their restaurant. Service was relatively quick, but there was a 20-minute wait for the dumplings. Valet parking can get difficult when the lot gets full. A few cars entering the narrow driveway had to reverse out of the way to let others leave. The kung pao chicken was very tasty with a good amount of spice. I noticed that the slippery shrimp didn't taste as spicy as the portion from Pasadena. Reviews say that the spice is adjustable. Regardless. it tasted great as it came right off the pan. The pork fried rice was delicious with a savory flavor that didn't seem overpowering. I thought the juicy steamed dumplings were the weakest dish out of our whole order. There wasn't enough flavor and heat from the broth. I didn't try much of the eggplants, but they tasted adequate for me.

Unfortunately, this is one of the worst tasting Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. I can't even understand how it was so crowded. Maybe it's the low prices. The hot and sour soup was OK, but tasted a little weird compared to what I'm used to it other places. The eggroll was fine, typical greasy eggroll. The Kung pow chicken was just bizarre. It was covered in a sweet sauce and was all dark meat so it was very chewy and fatty and skin and to me was just gross. This is one of the first times where I just stopped eating halfway through and left because I didn't feel like finishing my meal because it was so disgusting. At least to me. I don't think my Kung pow chicken should be so sweet. I didn't order orange chicken or sweet-and-sour chicken, but maybe those would have been better? I don't know. All I know is I didn't even finish my meal because the food was not edible to me. Service was fine, the guy was very busy so I never got refills and the food came fast. I'm not coming back here ever again. It was just not even worth the $15 I spent for lunch and I left with a seriously bad taste in my mouth. Not recommended one bit.
