We have been here before, so strolling thru Beacon. we knew where we wanted to go and eat something. We would normally sit outside under umbrellas to provide us with shade, but with this heat, we came inside and or vide us with A/C Asked for water to quench my thirst, . And requested a frozen margarita. And a charcuterie board. It was all good.

Situated within a shared space of movie theater, this establishment is uniquely classy with a "old time" nostalgic flare. My friend had his 40th birthday party in a back room, shared with another party on the other side. Our waitstaff was friendly, attentive and very accommodating. We couldn't have had a better time, between interesting cocktails like their popular Yellow Submarine, which was herbaceous, a little sweet and quite refreshing, their little bites like their addicting crispy savory truffle parm tots, and their filling and delicious entrees - like salads and cauliflower flatbread pizza (around $21) . I would recommend if you are in the area.

We came here for a friend's birthday and it was definitely worth the trip on the train. The truffle tots with a little melted cheese were dangerously addictive, and the chicken Caesar salad with everything bagel seasoning was delicious. They also have some very interesting cocktails and craft NY beers available. Part of it is inside a movie theater so you almost want to sneak into a showing after you eat! Definitely recommended if you're in Beacon for the day/weekend (and why wouldn't you, it's really nice up there!)

Enjoyed the vibe here, dark and cozy. It's literally attached to the movie theater next door which is cool. Service was great and let us just chill with our drinks. I had 2 cocktails, enjoyed both but the Winter Island def stood out more than the 34th Street. We ate just a snack, the Crispy Brussels, which was okay. They were tossed in honey, but it needed more salt or some other flavors to balance the sweetness. In terms of accessibility it's questionable mostly because I'm not sure where the bathrooms were. I suspect they might share the bathroom with the theater next door which requires one step up. I could be wrong though because I didn't use the bathroom, but I don't recall seeing them anywhere in the restaurant. Overall a nice experience

Love this place. If you do one meal in Beacon, come here. Our group shared: Panzenella salad - so delicate and light Nashville Dumplings - pan sautéed, with chicken, and had slaw with a mustard dressing. Wagyu burger (no cheese). The burger came with truffle tots. So good!

Food was great. Didn't realize there's also a movie theater in the building so that was petty cool. The service was good. & we love a good bathroom picture.

Spicy Margarita by James! Not too sweet and not too sour. Just perfect!

Margaritas are hard to make. Has to be a perfect balance of sweet and sour. James mastered the art. Respect!

We love Beacon. We love how it's been fusing its history with shimmering pops of modern that have been going off with a bang in the last 20 or so years we've been coming to the area. And with that pop, comes good food with a nice bar scene. Located in Beacon's chic, don't-come-cheap Main St., Wonderbar was an excellent search for a light nosh and cocktails before heading down home. Wonderbar has elegant navy and black walls when you walk through their doors- with their showpiece bar centrally located in the back wall. I'm not sure if they take reservations, but we were seated without one on the Friday night after Thanksgiving. This isn't the type of place to get a Rum & Coke. Cocktails are well-crafted and whipped up nicely with a spin on some of the classics. I think Wonderbar's cocktail menu changes every so often- because even when I looked at a previous Yelp menu and was loving those cocktails, the menu we received on the night we came here was different. But anyhow. We were a bit dazed and confused when hubs asked for a cocktail made with Bulleit and they didn't have any on hand. Jack Daniels? None. But on the plus side though, my 'Moon Child' cocktail with REAL passion fruit mixed with good spirits had a nice subtle punch. While I'm at it- I cringe when bars advertise a cocktail has 'passion fruit' and when you taste the damn thing, it's NOT REAL Passion Fruit. So thank you Wonderbar for making your 'Moon Child' cocktail smart. Hubs' Up in Smoke' had a good TKO and so did our other cocktails. We sipped the night away. But don't sleep on the appetizers either. Hubs said his fried chicken on a bed of coleslaw and topped with pickled red onion was actually good. Wonderbar delivered the goods ok. I wish our Charcuterie board had a better presentation. I was appreciative that our server used plates instead of the board to separate the pork that I don't eat from the cheese- but the overall layout was weak and so was the cheese display. All in all, I like Wonderbar's feel and wouldn't mind returning for other menu items.

This is my favorite cocktail bar in the Hudson Valley! Cocktails change seasonally and are the most creative/balanced that I've had outside of NYC. They are all named after very obscure movie quotes, which is adorable considering the bar is attached to a movie theater. The decor is a modern take on art deco and is really stunning inside. Servers are attentive and kind. Food is decent, but sometimes hit or miss depending on what you get.

Great food and cocktails. And a lovely ambience connected to the awesome indie theater (the Angelika Film Center of the Hudson Valley). On nice weather days dine al fresco people watching in a prime spot right on Main St. The brunch menu has eclectic choices to go along with the usuals. All prepared with care obviously directed by a chef de cuisine who knows what he/she is doing. After your visit, a mere block away from the awesome whitewater falls and river. Enjoy!

Food was really really surprisingly good, although the restaurant had mixed reviews and upon entering was a bit nervous about the menu, the choices we made we excellent! Everything was tasty. Although the Nashville's Chicken Dumplings were super yummy the Carolina BBQ sauce I found wasn't needed and didn't add anything to the dish, they were superb without it and let me tell you about that Cole slaw OMG delicious, the pork buns could have used more meat than bun but my cousin enjoyed them. Yucca fries super crunchy and tomato sauce was very flavorful. The Birria Grilled Cheese 5 star alone and with the sauce 10 star! Overall give this place an 8.5 out of 10!

Friendly waitress answered our menu questions and took our order quickly. We had the bar pretzel, grilled chicken sandwich, the mushroom burger and Chocolate Chip Lava cake. Both exceeded our expectations. Chicken sandwich had two juicy, seasoned pieces of chicken with toppings. Salad was fresh and house dressing was great. The mushroom burger was juicy and flavorful. The lava cookie cake lacked the lava typically expected but was nonetheless delicious, definitely would order again. There were two seating areas and a large bar that accommodated everyone well. Noise level was good, restroom was spacious and clean. Definitely going back when I'm town!!!!

We were greeted warmly and seated promptly and ordered drinks immediately. Being a Prince fan, I ordered a "Nothing Compares" cocktail which was great. My smashburger was also very good. My dining mates enjoyed their food and even more so the engaging banter with our amazing waitress. She sold us on the brownie cheesecake for dessert, but the three of us couldn't finish it even though it was delicious. We were so full! Overall, I enjoyed this and look forward to returning. Great food, efficient and engaging service at reasonable prices make this a hit in my book.

I reminisce arcade video games were always localized at shopping malls. Happy Valley Arcade Bar contains many games and snacks as well as alcohol and non-alcohol drinks are available. There is a coin change machine which was not working. This arcade video game business does contain a bathroom facility. It does provide a temporary mental detox or mental phlegmatic disposition from life's stressors in a casual relaxed atmosphere without judgment and without pressure of looming deadline for quota. There is also a small photo booth which can only fit two people. It was impossible to cramp six adults in this miniscule booth. There is an outdoor patio for seating. I hoped to see Grand Theft Auto, but to no avail. Arcade cabinet games are: Pac-Man 1980 I played for $0.25 and lost at the first round. Donkey Kong 1981 No comment. I did not play. The Simpsons 1991 No comment. I did not play. This depicts violence as Maggie is kidnapped because a large stolen diamond, inadvertently, landed in her mouth during a melee and she begins sucking on it like a pacifier. The rest of the Simpsons family gives a violent chase in pursuit for retrieving Maggie. Mortal Kombat II 1993 No comment. I did not play. Street Fighter II 1993 No comment. I did not play. KungFu Kickball I was on the red team to punch, kick and headbutt a ball into the opponent's bell and won against a good longtime male friend who was on the blue team. The final score 3-2. I feel like Danielle de Barbarac who slaughtered her longtime childhood male friend, Gustave in mud fights. "Boy or girl, I can still whip you!" Danielle de Barbarac in "Ever After: A Cinderella Story" 1998 film. Because the capable woman is never far away as I am right here! Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2002 Wow! This dancing video game reminds me of the movie "The Kissing Booth" which appears exactly as is. Pinball Oh, my inner child surfaces! No comment. I did not play. Pinball games are very classic and simple as the objective are all the same with a carbon steel or chrome steel ball with flippers. It is a game of chance. I would play pinball at outdoor fairs or festivals while eating funnel cake with strawberries. I remember playing Initial D Arcade Stage: Cycraft Edition 2003 where the seat drastically shifted, leaned, and jerked violently sideways to perfectly match the mountain-pass touge drifting mechanics of the motion-simulator racing game. I remember I jackknifed a vehicle! I lost this five minute racing game with my then boyfriend. Disappointedly, this video game cabinet is not available at Happy Valley Arcade Bar.

Having some of my favorite beer options from the local area / North East (shout out to Mast Landing's Gunners Daughter). Aside from the beer, the tacos here were incredible. They are not lying about the best tacos in town. Although the seating area is on the smaller side, it never felt cramped - it was the perfect spot to spend a few hours this rainy day. As a bonus, the bar tenders were super knowledgeable on the local beer scene. I really enjoyed hearing some of their stories on how certain breweries ended up on tap at Draught Industries. Between Industrial Arts (which brews some of my…read moreall-time favorite beers), Hudson Valley Brewery, Two Way, and a handful of others, you could spend a whole weekend here just brewery hopping. Draught Industries fits right into that scene. It's a spot run by people who clearly care about craft beer, with a long, rotating tap list and a laid-back, slightly quirky vibe. But what surprised me most was the food. I started with the pulled pork sandwich with ghost pepper aioli. The pork was tender and smoky, and the aioli brought real heat without drowning out the meat. If you like spice, get it. The real reason I'll be back, though, is the wild boar tacos. I love wild boar, and you almost never see it on a menu, so I ordered it the second I saw it. They come topped with guacamole, pineapple pico de gallo, and habanero peppers. The richness of the boar, the creamy guac, and the sweet pineapple against the habanero heat all worked together perfectly. Easily some of the best tacos I've had in the Hudson Valley. Great beer, bold food, and a menu willing to take chances. If you're doing a Beacon brewery crawl, make Draught Industries a stop. And come hungry.
