Our party of 3 was able to get a table easily and there were a handful of other parties there. They had a few hot stone bowl dishes and I got the bulgogi. It took some time but was worth the wait and the bowl was steaming and I was able to rust my rice to the bottom, which is the best! There was a decent amount of meat and the bowl was very filling. They also refilled our ban chan which was excellent. I paid at the front and we were in and out in an hour.

This time around I picked up some pork soup dumplings to fill a craving. My usual spot for dumplings was closed and pulling up here was a shot in the dark, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. I definitely wasn't mad at the price ($10/10) compared to other spots. I can't firmly say they're specially made in-house from scratch or anything, but I could still rock with it. They even came with the traditional vinegar-based sauce (sorry for not knowing the name) that I usually don't like but actually ate this time because I seriously liked their version. Service was amazing! At first it took a second for someone to get our order, but after that everything was smooth. Workers were very friendly, attentive, and engaging. We ordered the Yangnyeom Galbi and the Beef Brisket. Both meats were incredibly tender and cooked perfectly. Our server cooked for us the entire dinner and watched the grill the entire time - very attentive! He would also check with us if the meat was cooked to how we wanted. The sauces pair great with the meats. I'm Korean so I really like the sesame oil salt with the brisket. What surprised me was their Chimichurri sauce! Was not expecting it at all but it was incredibly flavorful and surprisingly paired well with the galbi. The chimichurri was my boyfriend's favorite sauce. I think the galbi was extremely tender, however did wish it had just a bit more of the marinade flavor. We are curious to try the LA Galbi next time. Now for the side dishes. I wish the broccoli had some more salt, but everything was fresh. I enjoyed the kimchi since it didn't have any anchovy flavor, but there are some people like the more fishy flavor. Salad was refreshing. The soybean soup had the perfect amount of spice & the vegetables inside were generous chunks which I enjoy. Rice was also fluffy - not too wet & not too dry. The corn cheese was fine and so were the bean sprouts. I will say that the egg had a fishy flavor to it, could be fish sauce ? but we weren't a fan of the egg. I love that this is an authentic Korean bbq place because they give you Sujeonggwa as a dessert after your meal! My boyfriend loved it because he's Hispanic and it reminds him of horchata since it has cinnamon. Haven't had it in so long, was a pleasant surprise Overall I think we had a great experience. I used to come here when I was a lot younger but it's my second time back as an adult. Nostalgic and tasty , we will be back to try the la galbi

This…read moreis probably my fav KBBQ spot because it's good or great in most categories: 1) quality of food: 3-4 stars out of 5: The meat is better than Iron Age, but not as fancy as the upscale places. Banchan is varied and has lots of options, similar to Thrill, but without the crazy Thrill prices. I like that the upgrade banchan & appetizers are ala carte instead of having it all included and upping the AYCE price. 2) Service: 4 out of 5. We befriended one server (shout out to Justin!) and he always was attentive, funny and entertaining to chat with. The other staff is hit or miss: some ignore you/are bored teens, others are good. Nothing RUDE though so no negatives. 3) Price: This gets 5 out of 5 stars. Nowadays EVERYTHING is getting so expensive, that the average person can no longer partake in treats like a nice meal. This location still has some of the cheapest prices I've seen yet, especially for a chain. I REALLY HOPE they didn't close to "take a break" (what their sign says) to reopen and try to make it more high end with higher prices. There are enough of those out there.
