Corned beef hash
Debbie C.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars!! We came for Mother's Day brunch with a party of 3. The outside of the restaurant reads warehouse but the ambiance inside is incredibly inviting and warm with good spacing between the tables and an entire live plant wall. We were greeted warmly and our server was helpful and efficient. We ordered the omelette with a side of fingerling potatoes, corned beef hash (sub biscuit) and chicken sandwich with kale salad. The food was very good. Portion sizes are just right - probably won't need take-home boxes.

The Lavender Lemon Sorbet Clear Sky from Wolf's Ridge Brewing!
Alden C.

Recently Steve and I tried Wolf's Ridge Brewing again after a few years and had yet another Cream Ale from their selection of beverages. From their Clear Sky series we had the Lavender Lemon Sorbet and we liked that quite a bit. It sounds like it could be really sweet but it's more pleasantly herbal. Additional flavors is of course Lavender and Lemon but also some nice breadiness in the flavor profile also. This beer is very refreshing and more on the creative and unusual side as far as flavors goes which makes it a lot of fun to drink if you are into beers such as this.

Cajun Waffle Fries with beer cheese and spiced garlic aioli

Fries were an awesome late night snack with the awesome beer selection. Fries came quickly and the bartender was attentive.

Second time visiting Wolf Ridge for a team dinner. Restaurant was fairly empty for a Wednesday evening and very dim lighting. I ordered the Harvest Kale Salad, didn't taste much of the dressing on the salad, but I could definitely taste the roasted sweet potatoes. For the entree I had the KFC w/ apple jam on the side with garlic fries. The chicken and bacon were both "well done" and the apple jam did not add much flavor, should have requested the spiced aioli that comes with the Hop Salt Waffle fries instead. Asked someone for some of their waffles fries, those are definitely the way to go, very good and flavorful. Took pictures of others orders, the Fall Fruit Salad - the person added salmon to the salad and enjoyed it; the beef and lamb burger and fish & chips were also a hit.

$3 Kolsch before 6 PM every day

This is a terrific brewpub with a dizzying selection of beers (and cocktails) on draft. They have a pretty good happy hour before 6 PM 7 days a week too.

Gorgeous array of consumables

After a rather excessive night, I knew the only cure for me was a coffee, a beer and a greasy hamburger. Wolf's Ridge brunch was the answer to my prayers. Service was a bit slow for a fairly empty space but when he was attentive, he was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! Burger hit the spot and saved my life. Now I'm hungry again just looking at the photo.

One of my favorite brewery stops in Columbus. The beer is top notch, you cannot go wrong with anything here, but the standout of me was the Kolsch, which never stands out for me. The food is pretty solid as well, especially the wings and the pizza tots. The sauces were very unique and stood out from any bar wing I have had in a long time.

The staff was on point and very attentive. They are friendly and very knowledgeable about the food but also keyed in on allergies as well. The food was good very tasty and serving sizes are very strong. The dinning area was well kept and something you would bring work and friends to. Looked nice

Meatballs and Spinach Dip.

Normally Wolf's Ridge Brewing is closed on Monday, but they do private events in a separate area. The food was delicious like BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders, Meatballs, and more during the retirement event. I enjoyed Boylan's Diet Cola in a bottle and I told a few people about Boylan's Soda comes in the fountain version like a Northstar Cafe. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will be eating there for dinner soon.

Excellent Restaurant Week outing here. The dining experience was perfect from beginning to end - one of the best of the year for me. The service was on point. Our server checked in on us with each course, but was not obtrusive at all. The walleye entree was beautiful in its simplicity. Well grilled fish and creamy, cheesy corn grits. The lemon cheesecake was light, fluffy and slightly tart. Don't miss out on the mozzarella balls app - they were addictive. Unsurprisingly, the drink list is beer forward. They have a short list of specialty cocktails and a nice wine list. Parking is pay only in one of the surrounding city lots. The brunch menu looks really tasty and I cannot wait to return to check it out.

Brunching here for the first time while waiting for my car oil change and tire rotation around the corner. I love trying new brunch spots so this seemed like a good spot to grab a bite. Burnt Edge Hash and a Bloody Mary were my choices from the menu. They also surprised me with a shot of the award winning beer -Day Break. I'm not a beer drinker but this was delicious. The burnt edge hash was so good. I would order it again. The atmosphere is great. I saw large families and couples dining. The staff is excellent. Super friendly and helpful. I had lots of questions since this was my first time here, and they were all so helpful and engaging. Since I was dining alone, it was nice to see they would be friendly and social. Prices seem fair in relation to the portions you get. And the flavor was bold and spicy, which I love. I lucked onto a good find today. I will most certainly be back and recommend this place to my friends. I have nothing but good to say. Hats off to the bar tender/servers who made my dining experience a positive one.

Tajin walking taco
Cara M.

Solid brewery with lots of choices! Love that they also offer wine and cocktails, I think you'd be hard pressed to not be able to find a drink for everyone here. The tajin walking taco was very interesting and a perfect twist on what otherwise may have been a "normal" beer I had time to kill during a conference trip so I wandered down with my book and had a beer at the bar. Some of the rest of our group wanted a bite to eat between meetings so they joined me and we were able to put together a few tables so they could join. Service was good when it was just me, but I think they were overwhelmed once the rest of the group got there. Some of our party tried to order drinks at the bar to make it easier since there were only two servers and one was already pouring drinks, but was told that we needed to order from the table. Which resulted in a much longer wait (again two servers) and some of the group opting to not get drinks due to the timing. Food seemed good from everyone else's input!

Big Pretzel
Demetrius B.

Wolf's Ridge has three distinct dining experiences. In their dining room is brunch and dinner, but the taproom has a nice menu of its own. That's what we tried on a Sunday afternoon, and the crowd ranged from 6 year olds to 60 year olds. Accompanying my Build Your Own flight of beer was a large but pedestrian tasting pretzel. It's rare that I say this regarding pretzels, but the dijon mustard was better than the beer cheese, because the latter tasted more like beer than cheese. My counterpart got the Pierogis and the sampling of it that I stole was impressive. My dish was the Chorizo Mac, and the combination of the meat, mac & cheese, and pickled onions blended well... though not spectacularly. The taproom trip was about what I thought it would be. I'm curious to try the dining room for that higher end experience that many locals rave about.

Wolf's Ridge Brewing Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Wolf's Ridge Brewing

Do you have outdoor seating and are small dogs on a leash welcome outside?

Yes to both! We have a patio on Hickory St. connected to our Taproom.

Does anyone know when they are bringing back the dire wolf and all its variants? I'm craving Direwolf and YubNub.

I'd ask the restaurant directly.

When is the yub nub release?

The Yub Nub release is Saturday, May 4th at 12p. Cheers!

How kid friendly is the tap room?

Not sure how old your child is. Infant - I guess ok. It's a small loud upbeat place - not really meant for kids. IMHO

The space wasn't overly crowded, and the food came out in a decent time, which is no small feat for a group our size. The Highbanks team was very friendly throughout. The Spicy Bloody Mary was a standout, with a really nice house mix but as always could be spicer for me. The seasonal donuts were Cinnamon Toast Crunch -- great consistency, though not as sweet as I expected. The hot honey chicken and biscuits were solid, but I didn't get much hot honey flavor from them. One downside: the TVs were on the fritz, so we weren't able to watch the game on most of them. Overall, prices were good and the menu was well rounded, with something for everyone in our big group.

Man, where do I start with this one... I feel my experience was so out of place it needed to be…read moreshared. My Mother (who is a frequent guest to Cameron Mitchell Restaurants) and myself, decided to have a nice Sunday brunch at what she usually knows to be an elevated dining experience and choice Guild House due to the copious amounts of reviews and recommendations of their ability to accommodate vegans. So we did what was recommended which was called ahead to let them know that we were coming in to dine and the host reassured us that the Chef would be able to accommodate for the vegan diet. Once we arrived and were seated, our server gave use the run down and proceeded to let him about the vegan diet to which he responded there were vegan options on the menu (which there are not), I let him know we were told to let him know so he could communicate with the chef to see what could be prepared. After checking with the chef he told me only one dish could be made vegan even though I was told they would be able to make off menu dishes for dietary restrictions. The executive chef came out only to agree with me that they could make Off menu dishes, but didn't provide me with what they could make but told me the tofu for the salmon dish would be blackened, seasoned and seared so I went ahead and ordered the one dish that I was told could be made Vegan. I then went to order a drink and wanted to know what the rotating IPA they had on draft was at the time... the server responded that the ipa was called "rotating" if I would like to order it, after telling him several times that's incorrect and asking for him to check with the bartender, he finally decided to go ask what the rotating beer was, s if I don't know what I'm talking about or how to order at a restaurant. The food finally came out and not only was my tofu not blackened, it was barely seared or cooked as the chef assured me it would. My mother also order her eggs to be overhard and they brought her a runny egg and had to take it back. I tried to suck it up and just eat my food but the lack of favor was disappointing so I asked about my togu not being prepared right which they acknowledged and brought me out JUST the tofu (blackened this time) without remaking the whole dish. They did eventually take that item off the bill, but the manager never came out to speak to us or to acknowledge all the problems we were experiencing. I am highly disgusted and shocked with this experience and the lack of professionalism and hospitality exhibited by the server, the management and the kitchen staff. This was not up to Cameron Mitchell standards what so ever.

This can be tricky because there seems to always be out the door, but most patrons understand the assignment and turnover goes quickly. I recommend searching the current menu online so you are ready as soon as you get to the register. This place appears to always be busy and bustling with people. We ordered the Country Scramble, Pancakes, and an Egg Sandwich. Drinks were hot apple cider, hot cocoa, and a Blackberry Fizz. All the food was delicious and are def the highlight. There is self serve coffee and soda(and water I believe although the person who got up to investigate for our table couldn't seem to find it). Honestly, the service is not my jam and why I dropped off a star. They seemed to be serving mimosas, wine, and Bloody Mary's in the line while you waited but the gal that was overseeing the area didn't really make eye contact so we didn't bother with that. Register was friendly and knowledgeable. But then the service gets tricky. There are no dedicated servers / bussers. Just people doing both. So many times you will find a group of people waiting for a table that needed to be cleared. We waited for the table to be cleared and no one was wiping the tables down, just removing dirty dishes. Our table was terribly sticky from the prior patrons but since you don't have a dedicated server, no one was coming back to take care of that. And lord help you if something wasn't right or you needed attention. We had no tableware or napkins and had to take them from another table. One of our meals took 10 more minutes than everyone else's so then our food was cold as we tried to be polite to the person who did not get food (but who do you inquire with?!). And if you wanted something else (another drink, or a pastry), you were going to have to wait in the line again. The food was good, but probably not a place I would return.

A true fine dining experience! The sommelier was very knowledgable and the wine paring was exceptional, too. This is definitely an expensive restaurant, but on the other hand, it is a "special occasion" place, and the price of the tasting menu is comparable with other fine dining restaurants offering tasting menus. I do have a few "glitches" to note, though. First, the pace of service felt a bit rushed. The time between courses was not sufficient to finish the wine, take the whole experience of the course in. When you come to a special occasion place (12 course dinner), you don't plan to just have dinner, you plan to spend an evening. The space is nice, the tables are placed well to provide enough privacy. The kitchen though, does not need to so visible since it does not seem to be a show piece. And, the wrapped candy in the end do not belong to such place :) And unfortunately, my take-away little gift at the end of the meal missed part of the "gift" itself - not a biggie, but just saying :). So, on the balance: the food was great (except for desert, which, for me, missed the flavor complexity, but that might be a matter of taste). The service, while nothing was "wrong" in particular, needs a bit of fine-tuning, especially to justify the price for the evening!
