You can't beat a cafe right on site with the farm. After doing the farm picking experience right down the road, we were very excited to see the farm's outputs in the form of cafe offerings! They do a great job with takeout options as we could eat right at the tables more than 6 feet away, or in our case we were able to take it right home by our vacation house. The fact that we came here multiple times during a week-long vacation should make a type of statement! Even in off season when the cafe is only open at limited capacity we enjoyed all of the food ordered. First off, the lobster roll was divine. It was filled with lobster meat and the flavors were soaked in by the hot dog bun. In fact it was almost overflowing and I needed a fork to make sure I got every piece of lobster. Pair that with some spice fries (which we got many orders of) and it's an ideal lunch serving. Our group had various taste palletes. From foodies to vegan to light eaters to meat lovers, there was something for everyone. Being on the farm we thought to try the barn burger. I was surprised that despite being a more well done burger, it was tasty and the fresh vegetables added brightness to the flavorful patty. Again, also had with spice fries! I normally don't order soda as well. With many flavors for these house made sodas, we definitely wanted to give some a try! Watermelon was light and fruity and not too sugary. The peach one was vibrant and added light flavor to the soda. By far my favorite was the raspberry soda which had bright taste; I even kept adding seltzer to it when I got home to keep sipping on it longer! Other orders in our group that were tasty included the farm wrap (which was loaded with enough food to last for 2-3 meals), the garden pizza (which was commented as one of the freshest pizzas my partner ever had), and the grilled cheese panini (which was commented as a divine tasting sandwich with all the right flavors). If we come back to Freeport for vacation, we'll definitely be found here! Overall, fresh and organic food that's all delicious is always expected when we come to the Wolfe's Neck Farm Cafe! (And always with at least one side order of spice fries)

We drove all the way out here only to find out it is not open until mid June. Bad website management

Great spot and funds support their mission. Much of the food comes right from the farm.

First, We're locals, not tourists. We've been repeat…read morecustomers for years. No stars given. After 1hr and 45 minutes of waiting for our food, promises that the food is coming from the poor waitress, no food. The restaurant was emptying out. Mind you, this is for two plates of scrambled eggs, toast and home fries. This was the attitude directly from the owner to the waitress. The owner could have cared less. The worst treatment I've ever experienced from a breakfast joint. I'll never go again and would advise people to not go as well. 0 out of 10 rating. The waitress was apologetic and frankly embarrassed by the owner's attitude.

I will say they appear to have their baked goods as well as many different food options like sandwiches but my review is strictly for the coffee. Once you enter to the right is all the different seating with a good variety of tables and chairs but also some more comfy choices like couches. Quite a large space inside and a handful of tables outside to enjoy the nice weather. You order at the counter and then they have a spot further down where they'll call out your name for both food and drinks. They had a section on the menu called the MET Artistic Lattes which was their version of specialty flavored lattes. This caught our eyes. My wife went with the Falcon Pride (chocolate & white chocolate latte) and I went with the Vanilla Bean Dream (white chocolate & vanilla). Drink wise they were both pretty good! Didn't become a new favorite coffee spot but good enough we would return if we found ourselves in the area looking for coffee again. To have a real strong opinion I would need to return and try some of the food rather than just the coffee.

We stopped here last night with the kids after having wanted to stop for the longest time…read more(out-of-towners). The staff was very friendly, though there was an hourlong wait for an indoor table (definitely make reservations!) or 10 minutes for outside (which was a little surprising given how many open tables there were). Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were super cool with some really amazing gardens outside in full bloom and then the more darkly lit, warm and cozy, and open concept with a great view of the kitchen team hard at work. I was the only one at the table to get a cocktail, to which I chose the blueberry lemon drop. It was really well balanced with a nice blueberry flavor without being overpowering. My wife got a merlot, which she enjoyed. The kids both enjoyed their chocolate milk and strawberry lemonade. Food wise we started with a caesar salad, which was good but pretty mild in flavor. It could have used a little more parm and either more pop to the dressing or just more of it. My wife got the (gluten free) baked focaccia and the lobster bisque for her dinner. She was melting over the focaccia (which I agree was the flavor bomb though I admit the gf bread was a little gummy - not abnormal for gf bread though and didn't really bother me). The lobster bisque she found equally delicious. I also found it quite tasty though did find it a little thinner on the mouthfeel than maybe normal. My MIL got the mussels that she said were really tasty and we found were locally sourced. I got the short rib. It was a large chunk of extremely tender meat with some absolutely delicious mashed potatoes. The gravy was pretty solid for it though I would have preferred it with a little more beefy flavor than maybe the wine. The carrots were a little disappointing, if I'm being honest. They were cut into vastly different sizes, which led to some majorly uneven cooking and even the smallest pieces were still much too firm - not crunchy but not really tender beyond the first quarter inch or so. It was almost like the were par cooked whole and then chopped up after. Definitely atypical and not really up my alley for carrots. Overall, aside from a couple very minor misses, this place was absolutely a winner and I'm absolutely getting some brick oven pizza next time!

My wife and I each started with the Caesar salad. Then she had the halibut and I had the divers scallops. Both dishes were very good.
