    Starbucks in Freeport, ME
    Bruce K.

I was here at exactly the wrong time, 3:00 PM on the Monday of a holiday weekend. Every table was occupied, every seat had someone in it. And there was a line of six people waiting to place orders and pick up drinks. I opted not to stay here for even a minute. They do have the usual drinks and pastries. And power and electrical outlets. Just not enough seats today. [Review 10031 overall, 1615 of 2018.]

    Vanilla bean cream Frappuccino
    Scott C.

Usually when I go there I'll order a Vanilla bean Frappuccino with no coffee and no whip cream and I've learned from experience that you should ask them to put extra powder in it because if you don't you'll have a lot of ice left over in your drink their service is good and their location is in a place where you would have to cross a street in order to go there no matter what but still it's pretty good

They took the time to respond to all of my questions regarding the shaken iced tea. They also heated up my two cookies in the oven which made them very mellty gooey and yummy!

Interior of the the little cottage that is the Starbucks in Freeport, Maine.

I submit this for management to take corrective action,…read more I stopped in for a quick cup of coffee. One would think this would be a non event. The coffee was served in a hand made mug with no handle. WAY TOO HOT to hold. When I pointed this out the server moved on to mistake number two. "You can pick it up at the rim," she suggested, and then proceeded to demonstrate, putting her fingers ALL OVER the rim.... DISGUSTING! There is an old expression in the food service business where top third of a glass, mug etc. belongs to the customer. In a 15 second interaction they managed to screw up a simple cup of coffee.....For A COFFEE SHOP, you would think they would be savvy about such simple minded matters.... Had her pour into a paper cup and bit my tongue.....Get it together......it is a simple process.

I like the interior: it has old, historic Maine building vibes (the exposed brick, the wooden floors, the large windows with accent shutters). I like the coffee (it's from a local roaster; shame on other coffee shops for not buying their beans from Maine businesses). I like the staff: I had A LOT of weird requests, and the person ringing me up was like, "yeah, we got you, girl" (not like that, but you get the point). I like the abundance of non-dairy creamer options. I like the very Maine themed lattes (like, The Golden Road? IYKYK) I like the very seasonal themed lattes. I like that they're dog friendly. I asked them if it was possible to get the Down East Maple Latte iced (with an extra shot) and additionally a healthy sprinkle of sea salt. It was the saltiest latte I've ever had in my life, but like, in a good way? It was a gentle amount of sweet, strong on the espresso flavor, and salty. I would absolutely come out of my way to WFM here!

Cuppa Jo’s - The bagel case. Get the mystery spice - you won't regret it.

First - it is super cute. With a mix of community tables, counter seating, and even one very cozy looking chair (I say looking because it was occupied and I was unable to plunk myself down and enjoy my book - which it was beckoning me to do). They have an extensive coffee menu and use their own roasted beans. I went with a standard coffee but did upgrade to maple syrup for my sweetener. (Anyone who knows me knows this alone won me over!) And, if you eat in - your coffee comes in a beautiful real mug! They have decent bakery case which is stocked with pastries from Two Fat Cats and bagels from Rose Foods! That's right - you can get a Rose Food bagel without the hassle of parking on Forest Ave in Portland. I got the Mystery Spice (old bay seasoning) and enjoyed half with Olive Cream Cheese and the other with Herbed. Clearly they make the cream cheeses here in house and they are delicious. The place seems pretty popular as there were many people here on a Thursday morning. Already planning a trip back here with a friend for a little remote work day!
