What a gem that is hidden in the underworld of the maze we like to call Freeport outlets!…read more My wife an I come here to get refills on all kinds of olive oils and vinegars and with the small pots that house all of these little containers of goodness it is a gold mine to creativity and deliciousness. Here are a couple of the fun tips and pointers about this little place: - You can taste test any of the mixed oils/vinegars that you want with little tasting cups and small spickets to pour the taste into it. You can mix grapefruit and sunflower and get a tasty topping for a green salad or throw in some apricot vinegar and then you really can go salad wild. - Once you partake in one of the bottles of dressing/oil you can bring the bottle back in to refil at a discounted price and get your card stamped to earn rewards then they reseal the bottle with a gold foil top. - The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and so welcoming to those that might not know what to do in an oil/vinegar shoppe. My wife and I recommend you totally stop in here to try the goods for your flavor extravaganza!! But remember you have to look for it because it is hidden on the lower floor from all the hubub of Oakley/ Lids / Coach/ LL Bean area.

They allow you to taste everything...like all 100 flavors (ok, not quite 100, but if you mix them, you can get there :-). Literally there were about 40 flavors. I didn't know that aged vinegar was so important, but you can taste the difference. Stop by here if you are near...you can taste the difference

I love planning our trips. Not only do I select what towns we visit and what we want to see or do…read morein each town, I also plan the food side of it... where we eat meals, any snacks or treats. I have it all written out, so we know where we'll be going. Kind of like... when in Rome, do as the Romans do. For me, I need to know ahead of time what that'll be, so we can do them. Such was the case with Wilbur's of Maine Chocolates. Don't remember now where I read about this place, but some blogger mentioned them with high praise, so on my list this place went. We made a point to stop by Wilbur's on our way to Boothbay Harbor (also in Maine for those who don't know), and we are so glad we did. This is primarily a candy shop... but it is so much more. They have other food items, home decor, gift items, and of course, lots of chocolate. We bought a couple of stuffed animals for our grandchildren, as well as some flavored sauces in a jar (to be poured over ice cream), and we couldn't leave without buying some chocolates ! We tried some chocolate-dipped orange rind and a few truffle flavors as well. Everything was very fresh and tasty. If I'm ever fortunate enough to be in Maine again, I'm sure we will stop here again.

This continues to be my favorite candy store in Maine. 5 stars for the offerings, the staff and…read moreparking. They offer more than my favorite chocolates. They continue to expand, to offer local Maine products, both food and textiles - it's a great place to go for buying gifts for people. Some of my favorites are shown in the pictures - I love anything maple and their maple malt balls are my absolute favorite! I love their chocolate covered products, pretzels, cherries, peanuts, raisins and blueberries and so much more. They sell Sweet Monkey Business shortbread cookies on occassion - they are the best in Maine for packaged cookies. The owner is very kind as well. This year (2025) my favorite purchase was the Candy Cottage kit! So cute and creative and it smells so much better than gingerbread. I loved it. Great for gift giving as well. Parking is great and there is an car charging spot as well if you are lucky enough to snag the spot. Not a super charger, but it's something. I hope to be able to participate in a special event sometime. They offer tours, and candy making events, like make your own candy cane. With that said, I highly recommend. Stop on by, you might see me shopping LOL

Lindt is located slightly off Main Street in the Freeport Village Center…read more We entered in the front which is an ice cream shop and walked through to the back for candy. As I entered I heard, does anyone want a sample, why yes I do! There were over 20 different flavors from dark chocolate to raspberry to coconut in bins in the middle of the store. I picked one of most flavors. I love how creamy Lindt chocolates are. They weigh your purchase at the register, it is $23 per pound. There were many other types of packaged chocolates. For a gift or a treat for yourself I recommend stopping in to the Lindt chocolate shop.

I am kidding, but joking aside this location has quite an array of Lindt truffle flavors and an assortment of individual bars to choose from. They also have a coffee bar where you can indulge in specialty coffee drinks (or lattes, however you want to define them) which include flavoring from some of their famous chocolates. Prices are comparable to other retail locations that carry their chocolates and this store tends to offer large quantity discounts if you get into the 75-150 piece range.I believe we walked out with 150+ for around $45 during one of their specials. I counted 150 when putting them into the box, but when the lady at the counter weighed it, she told me to add about 18 more and then she rang me up. I won't complain if they are asking me to add more items and still charge me the same. The store layout is a bit small, so it's difficult to navigate the truffle area due to its proximity to the checkout counter. You are always having to say excuse me because the line always extends into the one area where you are selecting your chocolates. They always offer each person a sample from their sample of the day chocolate.

But we found a spot in the huge parking lot behind the coffee competitor. Lol. Our server was friendly. Ordered the chocolate hazelnut cold brew, regular cold brew and cookie butter latte along with an Asiago bagel and a steak breakfast sandwich (the hiker). All drinks were FABULOUS! The bagel and steak sandwich?? FRESH and delicious. The shoppe is very nice and chill. The decor charming with sofas and chairs and tables. So happy to find this coffee shop!

I will say they appear to have their baked goods as well as many different food options like sandwiches but my review is strictly for the coffee. Once you enter to the right is all the different seating with a good variety of tables and chairs but also some more comfy choices like couches. Quite a large space inside and a handful of tables outside to enjoy the nice weather. You order at the counter and then they have a spot further down where they'll call out your name for both food and drinks. They had a section on the menu called the MET Artistic Lattes which was their version of specialty flavored lattes. This caught our eyes. My wife went with the Falcon Pride (chocolate & white chocolate latte) and I went with the Vanilla Bean Dream (white chocolate & vanilla). Drink wise they were both pretty good! Didn't become a new favorite coffee spot but good enough we would return if we found ourselves in the area looking for coffee again. To have a real strong opinion I would need to return and try some of the food rather than just the coffee.
