We live in South Lake Tahoe and are always looking for fine dining experiences. Although we read mixed reviews about Wolf, we really wanted to try it ourselves to see firsthand. We decided to go for our 29th wedding anniversary as a special gift to ourselves. Unfortunately, nobody even acknowledged or recognized our anniversary... That was very disappointing!!!! Our server was nice enough, but we think he must've been pretty new because he never cleaned off the dirty dishes from our table. This was annoying because we only had a two-top and there wasn't much room on it... Our dirty dishes sat on our table for over an hour!!! That's really unacceptable for a fine dining restaurant!! Since I was the designated driver, I had a diet soda and it was never offered to be refilled-really sad. Additionally, my wife had to ask to get her water refilled twice.... Once again, it was never done automatically. We don't mind paying high prices for premium food, but the food here disappointed. The 'famous cheeseballs" were cold and bland. The ahi tuna tacos lacked seasoning. The bread was also cold and soggy. However, the one saving grace was the Waygu Ragu rigatoni...it was al dente and the sauce was very good. We decided to give dessert a try and ordered the S'more cookie... It took over 30 minutes to receive it... Once again, very disappointing for a fine dining restaurant. We really wanted to like Wolf, but we didn't. I decided last minute with a friend to go try the famous goat cheese balls. We arrived fairly early (around 5pm) and got a table relatively quick. Our servers name was Hilary and she really made the experience top notch. The drinks were delicious, great balls, and amazing service made it such an enjoyable night! Visited Wolf on Friday night with a few friends. Absolutely beautiful atmosphere. Elegant and trendy. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had the goat cheese balls, prime rib sliders, and the wagyu ragu. Food was delish. Can't wait for our next dining experience there. read more

Planned a girls evening last night only to have to cancel due to the Davis Fire, when two of the main roads into Tahoe were closed. Contacted the restaurant in advance to cancel/reschedule but the request was denied and told to dispute the charge with our credit card company. I was underwhelmed. Maybe too much hype because of the name? At any rate the decor is amazing but it felt like a bar. My food was tasty but small portions and basically, again, like a bar. You can get decent bar food a lot cheaper right across the street at the pub. Service was good - our waiter was very prompt and attentive. Just disappointed by the servings and what is on the menu. How the fu@& do you charge for a no-show reservation when the roads to get there are blocked and evacuation orders are in place by a forest fire? You greedy bastards should be ashamed of yourselves! I'm seriously blown away by this. I'm sure you really needed the 25 dollar per person charge more than doing the right thing. Conversely other local businesses in the area are discounting rooms and comping food for the people displaced right now. Had been looking forward to trying out Wolf, and made a reservation. I'll give the cocktails 5 stars. I ordered the "Prime Cut" NY Strip, which was listed at $75. Had to be sent back because apparently a $75 steak is hard to cook at medium rare. Very inconsistent steak temps. Spouse had the chicken undercooked veggies. Service lacks a bit, and mainly from an attention to detail standpoint. Also a very loud restaurant when busy. Right now the service and food combined is not worth the outrageous price tag. read more

Impossible to make a reservation at. It's almost like they don't want your service. I have called 5+ times, emailed twice, I even went in and they told me they can't do large party reservations in person. I have messaged and commented on instagram and still no reply. Beyond frustrating. read more

Exceptional decor. Food was average at best. Fried goat cheese balls (5 for $18) reminded me of day old hush puppies in the microwave for 10sec. Prime rib sliders were good but lots of bread, not lots of meat. The $19 bread was tasty but not worth the fanciest 3 loaves at ur favorite bakery. Chilean sea bass was tasteless. Shrimp tacos were ok. S'mores dessert was definitely the highlight. So, my advice is, walk in for a stupid expensive drink (concert prices) have the s'mores dessert, drop $100 and recognize you've been caught in the "money grab." read more

This place is absolutely elegant. Lisa's decorating is top-notch as well as the menu. The cheese balls are everything but the Caviar? Holy cow! A MUST have . The service is on-point, attentive and accommodating. The price? People, we had the 6oz steak, fish and chips and the pasta, drinks, cheese balls and Caviar. The ambience in the restaurant were amazing! The hostess was very friendly. It was our 44th anniversary. The drinks looked all amazing and if you get their cheese bread that's good. But there was so many people taking food home. My husband said his bangers and mash were good for over $22. My steak was so tough you could not cut it or chew it was supposed to be medium he sent it out well and tried to cover it then once it returned we waited a very long time the manager never even came out to the table then he brought it didn't like me to cut it to test it and just ran off and by then it was overcooked again it looked like the mashed potatoes have been dropped on my plate and someone's fingerprints literally before pushing it down No one said anything we finally had to ask for the waiter to tell him to take this off from her bill. Then time went by they cleared our table then finally the manager said are you sure there's nothing else you want us in my husband's done eating and you clear the table. They did not offer us any free dessert that didn't even bring out a candle or anything to cake her anniversary so as far as the cost I would not go back personally and if you have gluten-free allergies they definitely are not the place to go unless you can get a salad for with a 4 oz lobster tail on it 4 oz. We had a party of 6. We were there for 3 hours and not because we wanted to. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start. The server took our food orders, but not sure if she put them in the system or not. We finished our drinks and appetizers and sat at the table for over an hour. We noticed other tables around us getting their meals and already leaving. We had to flag someone to order more drinks. Then we flagged a bus person to ask about our meals. Our orders were never received. The bus person came back after checking on our orders and informed us that the server never put in the orders. The bus person put in our orders. The server noticed the bus person going back and forth from our table. She finally came to our table to inform us that the kitchen never received the orders. Once we finally received our food, the portions were small for the price. One meal was way too salty and could not be eaten. We sent it back and didn't want another one. The server took it off the bill. The server also did not add the automatic 18% gratuity, but being that all of our guests work in the service industry, we still tipped her 18%. I personally would have tipped her only 10-15%, but I was not in charge of the bill. The food was not great and the service was horrible. The best thing about the restaurant was the atmosphere. Start off by saying the general manager has horrible customer service we made reservations the day before for 4:30 pm for the next day and he screwed that up. When we arrived he couldn't find our reservation so we had to wait then he finally sat us in a horrible uncomfortable spot I sat on ottoman. Never once did he apologized or even comp anything. I'll review the reservation experience since I don't know if I'll ever get the table I reserved 2 weeks ago for the 22nd. (7 days from now!) I stayed at Harvey's and attempted to make a reservation for 6 guests, in 3 1/2 weeks. I tried going directly to the restaurant, no luck. I went through the concierge, was given a phone #. Called it & could barely understand the woman for a FOURTY FIVE MINUTE CALL!!!! I asked her if she was in the building so I could speak in person since it was so maddening. Nope, she's "offsite"... China, maybe?? She tells me she has to make 3 reservations for 2 guests each in order to accommodate my party of 6. OK, so I do that, but she needs 3 different names, emails, and phone numbers from me and it's excruciating because she can't get it right. I kept it together because I really wanted to treat my friends to dinner. She assured me that the restaurant staff would be sure to put at us at a table for 6. So now it's 2 weeks later and NO ONE has received a call of email confirming our reservation! I'm really afraid that we will all show up at the restaurant and they will have never heard of us. I tried sending an email via the Rewards Program 2 days ago, and have received no response. Calling the restaurant or casino is futile because no one will help you. Not impressed at all. I had reservations for my wife and I for 12/18. Everything was fine on 12/17 when open table confirmed my reservation. The morning if 12/18 my wife woke up sick so I attempted to cancel the reservation. I attempted to cancel the reservation through open table but it said there was a problem and to call the restaurant through a link that showed a number of 1. I then tried to call the restaurant direct and it said the wolf voicemail was full. I then attempted to call to cancel the reservation through Caesars, Harvey's and calling the restaurant about 25 times throughout the day, always getting voicemail is full. This was a frustrating experience. I will be charged $50 for not showing up and I understand the charge, but I would have been happy to cancel the reservation except there was no way to do it. read more

The inside is decorated like a cursed castle. Lots of things to look at, including chandlers that rotate. Fake fireplace that makes me think of Disneyland. The dress code is business casual, I wish it was coat and tie, but sadly those days are gone. I wouldn't go without dressing up, to me that's part of the experience. The staff is composed of all the locals we love. Glad to see visible tattoos on the servers. Our water was kept full by a server in a Brown tweed vest, with little fur trimmed pockets, with offsetting green ties. The food was better than expected. You could just get starters and drink if you were on a budget. The full experience with a main course is around 100 per person plus tip. My Salmon was on point. My date had the steak and fries, she finished it. We had the goat cheese balls and tostadas. I had the dirty dog martini and my date had the rather large impress gin drink "one and done". It's nice to see this investment in Tahoe. It was a fun dining experience. read more

I was so excited to try this place, as i have been a vanderpump rules fan since day one. I am honestly so disappointed. Let me start by saying the pumptini and goat cheese balls were amazing! I order the filet mignon and it was so dry and flavorless. The potatoes it comes with were cold and tasted like cafeteria / hospital pre cooked potatoes. My husband ordered the chicken and that was also very disappointing. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. The decor was cute and fun. Everything was great except our seats, we had really bad seats that where in the front of the restaurant by the hostess stand. The drinks were out of this world though, and the food was great. Honestly, the drinks are probably the best drinks I've ever gotten. I got the snow bunny or the ski bunny (I can't remember the name), but it tasted like a gummy bear alcohol drink. it was even served with a gummy bear. It was so cute. The second drink we got was an old-fashioned, which was the best old-fashioned I've ever had in my life. It came in a cloche draped in smoke. You could taste the smokiness in the drink. It was absolutely amazing and so smooth. I've never had a drink that smooth before. We also got the wing appetizer which also came smoked and it was so good it was boneless and it came with a spicy sauce. Although the sauce was not enough (portion wise) for the whole chicken appetizer it was amazing. We were able to validate our parking, which was great not having to worry about paying for parking overall I would definitely come back. The restaurant was located on the third floor. If you're in the parking garage then you walk through the casino passing Hell's Kitchen if you're walking from the parking garage. Very frustrating on trying to place a takeout order though. The day before I came here, I tried to place a takeout order over the phone and it was impossible to get through to the actual restaurant to do so so I gave up. read more

I REALLY wanted to like this place because the decor is beautiful but it was disappointing. We did have a positive experience with the manager who accommodated one extra person in our party (we reserved for 6 people and ended up with 7). The manager was super nice and I really liked him. However, the food was mediocre at best. We had to send back our pork tenderloin for being overly salty (they even admitted we weren't the only guests that night to have that complaint). Another person at our table had the filet and it was also way too salty. Another person really didn't like his NY steak. Another in our group only had 1/4 of the pasta because she said it tasted weird and she ended up being sick the whole night after dinner. Unfortunately it wasn't worth our $700 check (we normally order extra cocktails but all of us only had one each because the dinner was so disappointing). I don't think we will be back. read more

My wife and I visited during the soft opening on Easter weekend. The staff is really friendly. Our server, Ashley was great. 5 stars for her. I wanted to come here mainly for the drinks but my wife was hungry so we got some food as well. Prime rib sliders were 3/5. It couldve been hotter but it tasted pretty good. The Cavatelli also wasnt very hot and tasted good. 3/5 on the pasta. The hush puppies are basically like crab cakes. Again not very hot but probably the best of the 3 dishes we got. 4/5 for the hush puppies. Now the drinks are why we came of course. Between my wife and I we had 5 drinks. All were amazing. I had the Big Bad Wolf and Cry Wolf. Both 5/5. My wife had Peter Rabbit (5/5) and Lake Effect (5/5). We had dessert to go with the Slippery Slope. Another 5/5 drink. I do need to mention we tried the Frosty Nips only because Ashley said if I didnt like it I could send it back. And she wanted honest opinions on the drinks because it was the soft opening. So I tried it and sent it back. Id say it was almost a good drink. For me something was just not good with it. The restaurant itself looked really nice as expected. Not much fine dining... it's just a bunch of burgers and fish tacos. I guess this is just a place for young people to feel like they have money.... A place to feel special because they see it on TV.
