My wife and I enjoyed drinks here before our dinner reservation at another restaurant. I had the 1849 Margarita while my Wife had a Vodka Cranberry. Both were good. We had to try the Goat Cheese balls since on Vanderpump Rules they always rave about them. I didn't care for them, but my Wife enjoyed them. Staff was polite and attentive. There are numerous employees on hand. The decor is on point and the vibe is good. To use the bathroom, you must leave the restaurant and walk down a hallway to get to. The ambiance is great. The food is great. The wolf bread, goat cheese balls and wagyu ragu were all very good. The pumptini and blood orange old fashioned were also great. Things we didn't love, the service was just ok, not great. I never got ice for my water that I asked for (should have ice with water in the first place). The portions are way too small for the price. Prices in general for drinks and food were too high. Food options were limited, lots of seafood/fish which we don't eat. The seating was bad. We were sat on a padded bench along the wall by the bar, with a tiny round table and a backless ottoman for a seat on the other side of the table. Other chairs we saw looked way too deep to be comfortable. A lady next to use ordered the prime rib sliders and sent it back because there was literally barely one slice of meat on it. I thought this was a great dining immersive experience! This was a bit on the "fancier" side than what I am used to but it was definitely a great ambiance to take in. Thanks to my friend, she knew from past experience that if we are not on the "list" for reservations we will not make it in. So she gave it a few days and was able to secure a table for mid-evening. I've known Harveys from years back and from being a kid, but was amazed to see that although Harveys itself seemed to stay the same once you turn that corner- boom! Hollywood, Vegas or NY! That was the first impression I got. We had a bubbly waitress and it seemed that as soon as a table vacated there were new guests occupying the seats. I had told myself I would order two drinks plus had eyeballed the menu before going in. I ordered the Ken Guiness Fish n Chips which appeared to be in their fish form still lol but that was some of the best tartar sauce I have eaten (since my childhood days in SF's fisherman's wharf). My friend and I agreed up the Wolf Bread which was so cheesy, warm and gooey that that alone was amazing. For drinks I was kind of all over the place but first ordered a Vanderpump Frose, which was amazing. I should have stayed within the family of spritz and wines. I wanted a "drink your dessert" drink- so ordered the Cold Cocoa- Cold Mexican Hot Chocolate but it was too smokey and spicy for me that the more I drank the more I knew I would regret it. Being $28 I asked the waitress if there was anything they could do to make it less spicy and she was wonderful enough to take it back and suggest an Espresso martini. I'm not really a martini girl but did enjoy it so much more. We were seated right at the front so I think next time I would hope for a middle of the restaurant experience and perhaps trying a boozy milkshake. Saw this place a couple years ago during construction. Finally made it for my birthday. The ambiance is awe inspiring from the customized wolf chairs, baroque chandeliers to customized WOLF fonts on the menu. Hillary chose the best items on the menu and I wasn't drawn. I took my daughter here for her birthday. We were both excited. First of all, there is no way to call them, it gets re-routed to a hotel answering service in Florida. I booked online and was trying to call to see if there were any cancelations to come in earlier. ‍ Once we arrived I asked our hostess about the telephone service and if there was another number to call in the future, she just said something like she didn't know what was wrong with the phone system. We had a terrific server. I wish I remembered her name as she was outstanding! The decor is gorgeous, something to look at in every direction. People were walking in and videoing the place then walking out. The 2 stars taken off are for the lack of phone service and some of the food. My steak was great and I could taste the herb butter, the potatoes served with it were amazing. But my asparagus was dry and burned with very overcooked bacon wrapped around it, not edible at all. We ordered cinnamon rolls for desert, you get 5 in a big circle. We were going to save the extras for an early departure. Well the cinnamon rolls were hard as a rock on top like they were many days old. Our waitress had actually warned us that customers were complaining about how hard they were. Why would you even offer them if they were like this. Just say you ran out or take them off the menu. And funny thing, Cinnabon is right outside the restaurant! We should have ordered from them. My daughter loved their brand of loose tea. We did send the cinnamon rolls back and ordered a cookie pie, they were ok. My daughter was given a nice little cake of some sort with a little candle. She did like her salmon and it was a big piece. All in all though they need to work on some of their food and fix their phone system. I won't be returning anytime too soon. Plus the parking was awful. One garage that's close is fully shut down. Some construction going on inside casino too. Lisa Vanderpump needs to get involved a bit more with this place. Ugh very mid for food. I guess to most people the food is average, it wasn't bad but also was not something exceptional. We had the goat cheese balls, the spicy honey sauce was great, the balls fried well. But it was just fine and kinda basic. We got the waygu ragu and the other pasta dish ( forgot the name). Both just fine, the pasta dish with shrimp and Calabrian chilis was texturally off with gummy pasta. The ragu was something I could absolute make at home. Drinks, love the wolf in sheep's clothing! A little hard to drink with the cotton candy got in the way but u gotta just snack it down. Not super sweet and nice jalapeño flavor. Overall vibe was a 10! Happened to stop in this week for the soft-opening. Like any business which is first getting its sea legs under it, Wolf is no different. Staff were very polite and efficient. Signature drinks are fun and I highly recommend ordering a few different ones to try out. Food bites are delicious as well. the interior design is amazing. The main "fail" that I noticed is that there were not any purse hooks installed under the bar. How does that happen with the Vanderpump team? My husband made reservations a month in advance for my birthday and we were sat at basically the worst table in the restaurant. Right in front of the patio door that was a freezing gust of wind every time it was opened. (At least 20 times while we were there) servers would just leave the door open and it was not a great experience. The food and drinks were okay.. typical celebrity type restaurant with overpriced items that are for the people to take their selfies with. . Beautiful decor and atmosphere but not really worth it. TLDR: Best restaurant in Tahoe; it's beautiful, features unique and tasty food and drinks, and the service from Jason and Aaron really delivered a great experience. Let me start by saying that in my opinion, this is by far the best restaurant in the South Lake Tahoe/Heavenly area. I was a bit underwhelmed by the food scene considering the South Beach/Las Vegas level prices, but Wolf by Vanderpump was the one restaurant that deserved to charge the prices it did. To start, the restaurant is strikingly beautiful; it truly might be the best looking restaurant I've been to, despite enjoying cuisine across Paris, Rome, New York, Los Angeles, and so on. The overall eclectic design, addition of attractive looking trees, and inclusion of spinning chandeliers was very eye-catching. With that said, it always comes down to the food and drinks, and they did not disappoint. I had the Big Bad Wolf (felt like I had to considering the cool wolf print they put at the top of the drink), and it was a very tasty bourbon sour (if you don't like sweet, I'd order something else). My fiancee had the Lake Effect, and in my opinion that was the best cocktail of the trip; it was superbly fresh and featured a very unique herbal but citrusy sweet taste. We weren't super hungry, so we got two appetizers, and both were delicious and pretty filling. The Lobster Ceviche Crisps were essentially lobster tacos in a wonton shell--they were excellently refreshing like a ceviche should be, but the crunch of the shell really brought them home. As good as that was, the Heavenly Mac & Cheese was the star of the show. When I tell you that this mac & cheese was exceptional, I'm honestly selling it short. The creaminess of the bechamel and depth of flavor from the gruyere, with the fact that the cast iron skillet kept it perfectly hot until the last bite, truly made this something you wish you could taste every day. With that said, there was one disappointment. The day we went (yes that day exactly) is the day the menus switched and they stopped serving the Ganache Pine Cone dessert. Considering this dish is so unique and still is the first picture you see on their Yelp, it was pretty sad that what brought us through the doors was no longer available. However, I was able to speak with a manager, Jason, about the issue, and I must say his response was impeccable. He truly listened, understood why it was upsetting, and made it right by us. Between his service and the noteworthy service we had throughout from our friendly waiter, Aaron, Wolf by Vanderpump earned their five stars. If I'm back in Tahoe, visiting again will be my first food priority. read more

The service was awesome, our waitress Feyza was on her B+ game she was engaged and work all her tables in a time manner. Great personality. The only I would say is nobody asked us how was our food. Now to the food , I was not impressed at all if this was just a food based review it would be 2 stars and it would not be on my list to come back to. I had the wild salmon. It was plate well look delicious but It was overcooked and dry. Not a lot favors come from the salmon. The chickpeas was great it was the show case of the plate great favors. Then we also had the chicken Schnitzel it was okay , you can eat without the dipping sauce . The Goat cheese balls Wolf bread and drinks is the only I would do if I was to come back. Had the most magical time at Wolf in Lake Tahoe!! As a diehard Vanderpump Rules fan, I was thrilled when I found out Lisa was going to have one of her restaurants not too far from us!! My husband and I decided it would be fun to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary at Wolf! Everything was absolutely amazing!! We were seated right away and the service was very quick!! We got the wolf bread and goat cheese balls for appetizers, wagyu ragu and double smash burger for entrees and ganache pine cone for dessert! I ordered the 2 mocktails on the menu and they were both so tasty! My husband got an old fashioned and an espresso martini and enjoyed both. Ashleigh was our server and she was great! Pros: the decoration/ambiance is great. Very high class and you can't go wrong with Lisa's style and taste. So glad this place opened up not too far of a drive from my house. The food and drinks are also great quality, you must get the bread! Bread, steak, and burger were all great dishes. Nothing bad to say about the drinks either. Cons: Went two nights in a row both servers could have been more friendly and attentive. Since it's somewhat of a destination because of the owner, you would think the staff would have more patience and try harder to put on a smile/be more attentive. Another con I would say is the pinecone dessert is no longer an option so I wish we could get those pictures taken down. read more

We made reservations 2 weeks before. When we arrived, we were seated right away. The decor is beautiful, dark, and elegant. We were seated at a cute little table, and although I loved everything, the one crazy thing that doesn't fit the esthetic is the comically large menus. They don't fit on the tables, and there's 3 menus (wine/cocktail/food). On to what we liked, the service was really good, we were offered drink suggestions and checked in on just the right amount. The cocktails were amazing! The Huff & Puff comes in a wolf statue they pour at the table into a glass, and it's smoked. That's a pretty sweet effect. The Peter Rabbit was also really tasty. We loved the Wolf Bread (it has cheese!!) and it's served with honey butter. Yum! We had the Smash Burger (excellent) and the Wagyu Ragu (okay, not great). Fun restaurant. Took advice from others and ordered the pull apart bread, goat cheese balls and waygu ragu. They did not disappoint. The Ragu dish was cooked perfectly and probably one of the top bolognese dishes I've ever had. The only misses were the Caesar salad which has tasted like it had no dressing and the Lake Effect cocktail which gave me pond scum vibes. I ordered a whiskey sour, and they used chickpea water .(aquafaba) instead of egg whites, and that was a nice change. For a light bite, we tried and highly recommend the lobster ceviche crisp. This place is next level compared to all the other casino based restaurants in Tahoe hands down. The interior is absolutely incredible, it's like game of thrones Stark house food hall meets 21st century design with an unlimited budget. Making a reservation is a must for dinner on the weekends maybe weeks in advance so be sure to plan ahead but if you show up around 4pm, there's a good chance you'll get seated at the bar or small table without a reservation. And the bar seats/chairs are high-end very nice to sit in. The bread is delicious! And the cocktails are very very good, many different options to accommodate everyone. Our bartender was an experienced mixologist and a pleasure to talk to and take recommendations from. Looking forward to going back next time we're visiting beautiful majestic Tahoe. read more

This was between a 4-4.5 stars but definitely recommend people try this place out. This is how I rate my food experiences: 5 Stars - I would highly recommend. I would drive 30+ min to come back and would go out of my way to eat here 4 Stars - It was good. Would recommend people try it if they are in the area and craving this type of food. Would eat here again if I was in the area. 3 Stars - Food was average. Nothing great. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. If I was in the area, I would probably try a different spot. Would only come back if this was the only spot if open and under protest 2 Stars - Wouldn't recommend nor would I come back ever. Would actually contemplate asking for a refund. Probably didn't finish my food. We started off with the crab hush puppies. I woulda passed had I known. You get 5 small pieces and I'm not a huge fan of hush puppies but wanted to give them a try cause it had crab. I think they were slightly over cooked (deep fried) and the sauces that were paired with them were just okay. I would say 3 stars. We also got their bread (forgot the official name) but this definitely set the bar. Bread was crispy on outside and soft in the inside. Had 2 options for dip and they both were good but you don't need it for the bread. You can taste (and see) the butter in each slice. Definitely a crowd pleaser. 4.5 stars For our main course I had the filet mignon (medium because I'm not a psycho). Well it was cooked to perfection. Just slightly pink (no blood) but extra moist. And ridiculously soft. This was the start of the show, paired with the bread and it's to die for. 5 stars. It came with a side of potatoe a Lagrange. These were cheesy, crispy & good but not a huge fan. 4 stars (other might rate them higher) The other side was asparagus wrapped in bacon. About 4 stars. I don't really do veggies. A little more seasoning and it would be better Wife had the jumbo shrimp tacos. It came with 3 tacos and huge shrimp over flowing from the tacos. We are snobs when it comes to tacos as we are from San Diego BUT these are delicious. Wife says 4 stars, I had a bite and say 4 stars as well. read more

I knew nothing about Lisa Vanderpump prior to coming to Wolf. I still know nothing about Lisa Vanderpump after coming to Wolf. The ambiance here is really awesome - very Timothy Oulton-esque. The feed was surprisingly better than expected! Great selection of wine and cocktails. Loved the crab corn hush puppies and lobster ceviche (recommended by our server). The salmon entree however was not very good if I'm going to be honest - overcooked and dry. Overall, a fantastic and fun one-of a-kind experience with delicious apps and drinks! read more

I called to cancel the reservation hoping they'd still be able to fill our table and explained the reason why we were canceling and they STILL charged us a 25 dollar per person fee for not showing up. 3.5 to be specific. Let's start with the good. -The first thing you notice is obviously the décor and the vibe, which is amazing. It's over the top elegance that you expect from a VP establishment. -The service was also pretty good! I believe our server was named Ann, and she was super kind, good with making recommendations, and really made us feel welcome. Runners and bussers were also great. The only hiccup was that we didn't get a check in after our entrées were served, and we did have problems with them. -APPS!!! Oh my god, every appetizer was a HIT. You could just skip dinner and go for all apps. We got the Wolf Bread (missing hot honey butter), goat cheese balls, and prime rib sliders. All of them were good in their own way. Plus, can you say you've been to a LVP location if you didn't have goat cheese balls? -The beverages were also good, gram-worthy, and interesting. I got the Berry Sexy mocktail which was delicious, and my partner got the Bitch in Heat and the Cold Chocolate. Both were creative, strong pours, and tasty. Now to the not so great. -Not all seats are created equal. If you end up at a high top, I'm sorry, because someone sitting in a beautiful, plush, faux fur lined chair will be 1/2 way up your butt in your wrought iron pie tin on legs. And your table will not be big enough to accommodate your food and drinks, so plan your courses accordingly. -Food seems wildly inconsistent. For example, my partner got the wagyu ragù and the photos from days prior showed some sort of green leaf on it with visible Parmesan on top. The one we got was just pasta and sauce. The meat was also way overcooked, like the ragú had just been left to sit for a few days on the stove. I ordered the filet mid-rare and it came mid-well if I'm being generous (maybe a light blush of pink on one bite in the very center). We ended up trading entrées after I realized our server wasn't coming to check on us. The wolf bread didn't come with the hot honey butter, or at minimum the other butter had no heat or sweetness. There were just a lot of things that added up that showed no attention to detail for the food. -The menu also seemed to be updated recently, but was also not updated on all of the menus or online. Dessert options were confusing to figure out due to this and other options being 86'd. We ended up the S'mores cookie thing. It's just a worse Pizookie, which is still a cookie and ice cream, I guess. At the end of the day, it's about the food and drink, right? And as much as I'd love to give a higher review for the apps, drinks, and ambience, I was brutally uncomfortable, and our mains were downright miserable. I think this place absolutely has the potential to give you a 5 star experience if you get back of house on a good night, and have a party of 3+ so you're guaranteed a good chair. read more
