Soup was delicious, the crispy beef was pretty good. Nice location, very clean. But did a pickup order and they forgot my rice.

Best halal Chinese in Houston hands down! Got food in 10 minutes, and good decor. We had their famous crispy beef (never disappoints), sesame chicken, steak fried rice, mango lassi and the fried ice cream

This restaurant is all around awesome. Indian Chinese fusion is absolutely delicious and they are excellent at everything they do. have catered from there multiple times for events and they are so wonderful to deal with and communicative and the food is always been top notch high quality. Especialy love the noodles and beef, kung pao chicken, they're pakoras are out of this world, and the chicken biryani is Delicious. Update: 2024-10 catered from Abbas & family for a large party and it was very popular even with Sugarland people. Beef lo mein, kung Pao chicken, chicken 65, fried rice, Szechuan chicken, egg rolls, and refreshing mojitos. everything was fantastic

We wanted to try Indo Chinese food. It was really awful. Fried rice Tasted like vegetable upma ( all Desi folks will know what I'm talking about). The chilli chicken didn't taste anything like the authentic chilli chicken. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars . If you're looking for a good Indian Chinese place, this place will be disappointing! We tried the chicken egg drop soup and it lacked taste. On the plus side : The place is clean and the people serving are cordial but that hardly makes up for the food.

Came here for a business lunch! We were given historical context about this place regarding what it was before and how the food missed the mark. But today, complete with new owners/cooks in the kitchen, the meal we had was great and left us wanting to return in the future. Service was a little slow for the drinks, but that's negligible due to the amazing food we had. Chicken 65 5/5 Sweet and spicy and flavorful. The heat was to "medium" and it had a perfect amount of kick to it. It came out steaming on a cast iron pan. Goat karahi 5/5 Simply flavorful and spicy at medium! There was enough meat for the karahi. Goat wasn't too gamey was enough to let you know you were eating good. So the good type of game flavor. The sauce had so much depth to it. Chicken makhani 4/5 Flavor of the masala was amazing. Very sweet and savory, more on the sweet side which I love. But not enough Chicken in this dish. Spicy garlic chicken 3.5/5 This dish wasn't spicy at all and can barely get the garlic flavor. It was good for a indo-chinese dish. Reminded me of gen tso. Garlic Naan 3/5 I thought the Naan was flavorful but seemed too crispy and burnt Kung pao Chicken 5/5 I would crave this dish the most out of what we had altogether. The flavor of lung pao is normally too plain/bland for me in most Chinese spots but this one packed a savory punch. Plenty of chicken and vegetables in this dish. We also received complimentary gulab jamun at the end of our meal. We'll be back for the goat and Kung pao and to try other dishes next time were in the area!

I've door dashed from here and found it intriguing so when the opportunity arose, I was all in. The is a bright, clean dining room with a very visible owner. Turns out he's also patient as we perused an extensive menu and asked lots of questions. Every meal is cooked to order so be prepared to wait. It is worth it. First up was a complimentary appetizer consisting of chicken pea battered veggies, yum and some spicy chicken chunks. Bring a fire extinguisher as even mild brings out the flames. We ordered the special appetizer tray which comes with a delectable crispy, fiery dumpling and some battered shrimp. For mains we had the Roger Josh beef which featured a rich tomato curry and tender beef. My dining partner ordered butter chicken but was slightly disappointed when she discovered dark meat in it. Management surprised us with a complimentary dessert that was both stunning in plating and taste

Out of this world taste! We went for a birthday party and had the place reserved for our daughters 2nd birthday. Lovely lovely people and amazing food. They played some good tunes and it was an overall hit. Will come again.

    Sesame chicken

I ordered sesame chicken, fried rice, saag paneer, and goat biryani. The food was freshly prepared, so we did not mind the wait. The establishment offered good food, a clean environment, and courteous servers.

It was a nice experience. We were familiar with chinese cuisine but not Pakistani/Indian. It is better to scan the menu at your table, because that menu has pictures! Spices can be adjusted on every meal 0 to 9. Zero being not spicy, nine being HOT! The food was very good. We had orange chicken, beef and brocolli, and butter chicken. Also, had garlic naan and sesame naan. One thing that was not good was they don't serve rice with any of the dishes! All that sauce and no rice. Main dishes were around $17, you think rice could be included in that price. The service was awesome! Alex was serving us and did a fantastic job. Lunch for 3 of us with tax and tip was $87.

The food was amazing but the service was pretty shockingly bad. Two girls doing their makeup in a booth on their phone. We had to go find them to ask for a box and pay our check. It took five minutes for anyone to greet us at the door and it was completely empty

    Menu: Halal Chinese

Ambiance: This may be a longer review because I tried various things. We wanted to try a new location yesterday and decided to give Wok & Karahi a try as it mentioned they are a blend of Indian and Chinese cuisines. We learned they are under new management so the inside is being revamped going with a more achromatic color scheme and adding a buffet as an option for items pictures on the menu with a red background. I will say when you first drive up it is easy to miss as the name on the outside states "Halal Chinese" - this may be an old name before the revamp or not; but it is the correct location. Order: Buffet: the buffet included items like veggie & spring rolls, dumpling soup, 2 versions of the fried rice and noodles, chili & sesame chicken, and Mongolian beef. I took pictures of the items I tasted before going back for larger portions of what I liked. The soup was flavorful and good; but I am not a fan of the thickness within it. Everything else was great, especially the Mongolian beef, beef fried rice & noodle. Those were a 10/10. I loved the veggie roll, especially when it was paired with the sweet chili sauce. Samosa: I order the samosa, which is separate from the buffet. The samosa had this slightly sweet coating while the inside had the slightly spiced flavor. I loved it along with the sauce. Definitely recommend. Lemonade: the lemonade was okay and is separate from the buffet but I was able to have a cola as well. Service: Everyone was nice but there was this one staff member that was very helpful in explaining what each item is, he checked in various times, was very energetic and true to himself, he held great conversations and made great recommendations. He's the reason I tried the buffet Payment: The buffet is priced at 19.99 and the payment was quick and easy. Overall experience: I will say the buffet is small when we're speaking on options but the flavor is great to where you aren't worried about other things. It gives the focus on quality and not quantity. I plan to visit again and try the curry and other items.

We spent about $60, and unfortunately... this was one of the most disappointing meals we've had in a while. The food tasted old across the board. The egg rolls were burnt, the sweet and sour chicken was dry and flavorless, and the General Tso's chicken was soggy and overly sweet. The only things even remotely edible were the lo mein and fried rice. To make things worse, the service didn't match the price point. For a $60 order, we were given just four soy sauce packets, no plasticware, and no fortune cookies. When I asked for more soy sauce, sriracha, and duck sauce, I was initially given barely anything had to ask again and explain I had a full meal to feed. They eventually brought more, but still no fortune cookies. My husband and I eat out often because of our schedules, and we don't mind spending money on good food but this was not it. I had really high hopes because it's hard to find solid Chinese food in the Spring area, and I was hoping this could become a go-to spot. Unfortunately, it won't be. If I weren't so tired, I would've called back to complain but I just didn't have the energy. Chalking this one up as a loss and doing better next time. Would not return and I wouldn't trust the good reviews either. ‼‼

I have the pork with garlic sauce...it's very different than most restaurants in that it has huge chunks of fresh veggies and lots of garlic. I give the pork dish 5 stars! Huge portion for a great price. What I didn't care for were the egg roll and fried rice. The egg roll was just fried mush and the fried rice had a very strange flavor. But the main dish serving was so big it was all I needed. Hot and sour soup was ok. Service was great and on point. Over all I'd go back if in the area.

The food was very good!…read more I was hesitant at first because some of the menu seemed to be fusion items. In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
