This review is specifically for the 1114 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90029 store…read more TLDR: the salesperson sold us a used phone as new, lied about it, not only refused to take it back, but tried to sell us a second phone at full price. AVOID THIS STORE: We came in for a specific new phone, the Revvl 7 Pro 5G, that was in stock, but the salesman steered us to another phone - a Motorola Moto G. He sold us the phone as new without disclosing that it was used and had previously been owned by another customer and was a returned item. We discovered this fact and returned to the store to exchange the phone. The salesperson denied that the phone was used and refused to accept the return. His solution was to try to sell us a second phone at full price(!!!). Not only did he sell us a used phone and lie about it, but I can tell you *exactly* who the phone's previous owner was (Joan Pamela Ray) because messages repeatedly pop up on the used phone that: 1. "Joan Pamela, get back on Facebook by clicking..." Facebook/Meta only sends this message to a phone previously logged into Facebook and has logged out. A. We are not Pamela Ray. B. We don't use Facebook. (See photos.) 2. Google account Password Changed." This one doesn't require critical thought only common sense: a password on a phone cannot "change" unless a password already exists to be changed. You can only change something that already exists to be changed. (See photos.) 3. Unknown account message: "We'll save your login info for Joan Pamela Ray to your device's cloud backup, so you won't need to enter it on this device or any device you restore." 4. The used phone already had an aftermarket (not from Motorola) screen protector installed when he sold it to us. And, it was cracked. Any one of these facts in isolation would require logical gymnastics to explain. There are four facts. Listen, if you hear a "clomp, clomp" sound of hooves galloping outside your window, it may be a zebra, but it's probably a horse. Things are exactly as they appear: he sold us a used phone, lied about it, refused to take it back, and tried to sell us a second phone at full price.

This is my first every Yelp Review and here's why…read more Orlando at Simple Mobile was a total professionional and repaired my water damaged Samsung S20 Fe 5G phone quickly and at a reasonable price. He listened to me and all of my concerns and explained what he would do and even showed me the factory Samsung display screen he would use to replace my old one if needed. He connected my phone to a special charger he had that showed that the phone was charging even though we didnt' see or hear anything. I dropped my phone in 5 ft of water for about 30 seconds. After 3 days of trying various methods to dry it and trying every combination of button pressing and restarting the screen was just black. Sometimes I'd hear a blip and a short vibration. So I started calling around West LA for quotes. The prices I was getting, I could just use the money to buy a used phone of Ebay or Swappa. I yelped my request and decided to give Simple Mobile a try. Orlando gave me a reasonable quote, better than all the other repair shops. He also said he had a factory Samsung display screen if needed and that they offered a 30 warranty on the part. No one else offered this. The shop is in a very dense part of town, a little past Koreatown across from MacArthur park. There's a parking lot next to the shop. Just tell the security guard you're going to Simple mobile. I had my concerns but don't judge a book by it's cover. The drive was worth it. Orlando called an hour after I dropped off the phone and said the old display was fried. He installed the new one and it was working fine. It even had the plastic wrapper on the screen. I tested the phone and saw all of my texts and pics. The finger print scanner wasn' really working, but it never worked that well to begin with. I added a third scan of my thumb and the scanner's been working better than before. Orlando at Simple mobile will be my repairman if I ever need help again. They also repair tablets. Thank you Orlando and Simple Mobile. You saved the day.
