When I questioned this, Mel argued with me and repeatedly insisted that she had explained what happened, when that was not my experience of the interaction. I was also uncomfortable with Mel repeatedly asking me to provide private information publicly. I made it clear multiple times that I wanted to protect my personal data and did not consent to discussing or providing sensitive information where others could hear it. I should not have had to repeatedly explain that I wanted my privacy respected. The entire interaction was embarrassing and unprofessional. If you work in the phone repair business, customers should be able to expect a proper diagnosis, clear communication, respect for their privacy, and basic courtesy. I am asking management to review the security camera footage from around 1:15 p.m. so they can see how this interaction was handled and evaluate the conduct of their employees for themselves. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses both the customer-service and privacy concerns raised by this experience.
