Wire Tech Electric is one of the company I can truly trust. Olvin communicated with me throughout the job. Everything is concise. No miscommunication. His invoice is clear of what the charges are. His estimated time of arrival is impeccable. Unlike those whose ETA is ridiculous. He jumped right away to do his task. He completed and tested to make sure it works. He then cleaned up after. read more

Olvin does very good work, quickly and clean. He is very knowledgeable about local inspectors, pg&e and up to date electrical codes. He is about mid priced and fair. You get really good work done at a fair price with permits and inspections. I would fully recommend this company to all my neighbors! read more

I had a weird and alarming series of electrical problems that turned out to be caused by the electrical service into my home being overloaded. Olvin was extremely helpful through what turned out to be a long process, due to waiting for PGE to schedule a time for the service upgrade. In the meantime, Olvin did a couple of short-term fixes and checked in with me regularly. His evident experience and knowledge were reassuring during a highly stressful time, although he was careful to lay things out so that I knew both the best case and worst case scenarios. And now that it's done, I feel confident that the work was done well. read more

Our condo had a failed in-wall heater which turns out that no HVAC company wants to service so we the route of electricians. Wire Tech front and back office services impressed. Olvin showed up on time and gave text updates on his arrival time. His quote was professional submitted and fair. He updated us when the parts would arrived and finished the job within the quoted price. Olvin and his back office show a lot of high level customer service and good use of technology to support communications. I will use them again if and when I need a good electrician. read more

I was in a tough spot trying to understand what my solar company was suggesting about an electrical upgrade. I reached out to Wire Tech to get a competitive bid for the work. Olvin did exactly what one dreams a good electrician would do. He listened to my situation and understood my frustration. He then explained what I did not understand and gave me a few recommendations. I now feel empowered to go back to my solar company with the right questions and demands. I am so grateful that Wire Tech is can do whatever work is necessary and that I can trust them to help me make the right decisions. In todays world where so many are greedy, it is amazing to come across a company with integrity. I recommend Wire Tech and Olvin wholeheartedly. read more

I worked with Olvin with Wire Tech Electrics put a new grounding wire and replace old receptacles for the entire house. Him and his crew did a great job!! Initially the work was 2 days work, however they were able to complete it in 1 full day instead. They were very responsive and professional with the job, and were able to provide me additional recommendations and quote for the work very quickly. Definitely recommend to work with them for anyone looking for an electrician. read more

Very professional, fast and straightforward. Quickly diagnosed and solved our problem and then helpfully explained what was wrong and what was done. read more

Wire Tech did an excellent job on my home "Level 2" EV charger installation. They talked me through all the steps of: tapping my home electric panel, creating a new 240volt line to my driveway, installing the 240V plug, and installing the EV charger itself. They also provided good perspective on EV charger options to consider. I highly recommend them for 240V EV charger install! read more

Olvin hit a home run with a very complicated light fixture. It evolved eight separate wires (which needed to be connected to the very old wiring on my house which was not designed for something this intricate...) and a large number of delicate blown glass pieces. This thing was an absolute pain to assemble and connect--but Olvin worked incredible magic. On top of that, he was so kind and pleasant to have around. Prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommend!! read more

Wire Tech Electric - *Note: one of the bulbs is out. Light bulb arrived broken—had nothing to do with the installation. - Electricians Near Me

Prompt, professional, and reliable work. They are definitely knowledgeable on electrical work and state compliance. I had them correct some wiring issues that my handyman did incorrectly for some recessed lights. They fixed it quickly! My only concern is that they are on the pricey side IMHO. Will likely continue doing more projects with them. read more

These guys are great! Had complex recessed lighting need - Wire Tech won the work. Turns out I made a smart decision. Not only did they work with me to find a best value solution (7k project, with other bids approaching 10k) Olvin expertly installed the solution with his team. Inevitable snafus emerged - he solved them all. Best electrician in the East Bay! read more

Searched through Yelp for Electrician to help with 2 small issues. Olvin responded quickly to yelp email and didn't quote price but said they would assess when they got on-site. The issues were relatively small so I wasn't concerned. Replaced one outlet for fixed price of $95 and then took approximately 30 min to troubleshoot problem with breaker---said there was a short coming from a connecting wire to outside. Charged me for 1 hour of work and I thought we were done. 2 weeks later sparks fly out of outlet in my office attached to same breaker. After a call, Olvin said they were working in the area and could stop by at the end of the day within the the next couple of days. He arrived as expected and after about 3 minutes upstairs at the outlet he said "someone pulled to hard on the outlet and caused a short on the ground wire". (He was the last and only person to open that outlet). He handed me a piece of wire about 2 inches long and said "all fixed, and "sorry but I have to charge you for a service call - $95". Pretty sure he is the owner and didn't "have to charge me". Personally, for 2-3 minutes worth of work, if this were my business and I was the last person to work on the outlet I would have repaired and walked away. Apparently that is not the case with Wire Tech. Paid him, although it all seemed pretty shady.....Won't be calling Wire Tech Electrical for future needs. read more

The work from Wire Tech Electric was superb from start to finish. I had a Nema 14-50 installed. He quickly gave me a rough quote over the phone so I could decide if I wanted him to give me a detailed quote. After visiting the house, Olvin provided a very reasonable quote and asked many pertinent questions. He also took his time to answer all of my questions. While visiting my house he looked at the main panel and subpanel and carefully explained all of my options with prices. He was very reasonable on his price and very knowledgeable. I agreed and he came out the next day right on time and stayed until the job was completed. Cleaned up after himself, repaired all of the drywall and had a perfect end result. I will definitely use them in the future. read more

On Saturday, July 20th I logged into the website for Wire Tech Electric (https://www.wiretechelectrical.com/ ) and requested someone come out to my house to give me a quote to add a Level 2 electric vehicle charging station into my garage for my new Chevy Bolt. I received an email back from Olvin Rivera later that evening and we arranged to meet on Wednesday afternoon (July 24th) for the free quote for the installation. Olvin texted me prior to the scheduled time to let me know he was on his way. I already knew that my existing 220-amp breaker panel was full and after he arrived we discussed adding a subpanel into the garage to contain the 40-amp breaker for the 240-VAC level 2 charging station. Across the board, Olvin's prices for the work and materials was better than the prices listed for Amazon's professional installation for any of their level 2 chargers. He emailed me a copy of the quote and I decided to go with his team. This morning Olvin texted me prior to his scheduled time to inform me that he was heading over to do the install. He and a helper came out to the house and extended the main breaker panel into the garage and added the subpanel, 6-gauge wire (rather than the smaller 8-gauge wire that was minimally required) and terminated everything to a NEMA 14-30 outlet. Everything was professionally installed, the breakers were tested and frankly it really looked like it belonged there. Ten minutes after they left UPS delivered the TurboDX charger that I had ordered. Unfortunately, the TurboDX charger required direct connection to the power source rather than through the NEMA plug. Luckily, Olvin Rivera from Wire Tech Electric was able to return to my house after lunch where upon he removed the NEMA plug and modified the wall connection to allow the power to be connected directly to the charger. The TurboDX charger was a problem from the get-go as although the charger came in a nice aluminum casing, the casing needed to be drilled out to allow the electrical feed to enter from the back into the housing. Olvin had the necessary tools to get the casing drilled out and inserted a plastic knockout bushing to protect the wiring through the hole. Then he leveled and attached the charger to the wall and connected the power directly to the charger. He also called the tech support hotline for the TurboDX charger to ensure everything had been properly connected (the installation instructions for the TurboDX charger were a little too basic for what we were doing.) Everything worked fine and using the new level 2 charger, the Chevy Bolt charged the last 60 miles until full charge in just under 2 hours. I really liked the way Wire Tech Electric kept in contact with me throughout the process from answering my request for a quote, then sending me the full quote after we discussed the work to be done, the text messages prior to arrival to let me know to expect them and their promptness to arrive within the designated appointment time. I found Olvin and his helper (whose name I have forgotten) to be very professional and courteous and I found the work to be first rate. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future electrical contract work. read more

I honestly can not recommend Wire Tech enough. We are managing two electrical projects in our home, in addition to a BUNCH of other renovation work. Wire Tech was sensitive to our schedule, communicative, and quick to get our project completed as quickly as possible so we could proceed with other work. Their quote was accurate and the electricians who came to our house were professional, communicative, and kind! read more

Happy with rerouting done. There was a bit more work than expected but I wasn't charged anything extra for it which was much appreciated.

We had some wiring issues in the office and Wire Tech Electric came by to troubleshoot and provide an estimate. Olvin shows up on time and is easy to communicate with. Thank you, Olvin, and crew (Josh and Daniel) for rewiring my 1947 home and upgrading the electrical panel. All of the old wiring including the knob and tube is gone! No more glass fuses! The new electrical panel is able to accommodate our electrical needs for years to come and my home feels safer! I spoke to Brenda at Wire Tech who scheduled an estimate for the next day. Olvin arrived on time, walked through the house, and clearly explained the process of rewiring and the estimated timeline. The quote was received via email the next day. Communication with Olvin was easy and prompt either by text or phone. Every morning I received a text alerting me to the crew's expected arrival time. Josh and Daniel, both very kind, respectable, and polite, would inform me of their planned area of work. All floors were protected with paper and furniture was covered with plastic as they moved from room to room. Every work area was cleaned up at the end of the day. Thanks to Wire Tech Electric I am one very happy homeowner that will always recommend their services. read more

I just had the pleasure of working with Olvin of Wire Tech Electric. Like so many other homeowners, I was having trouble getting a response from local electricians. Olvin responded quickly to my Yelp request and we set up an appointment the following day. He was able to provide a verbal quote on the spot that was within my budget. I wasn't about to let him get away. A few days later the work was done to perfection. He provided helpful advice on the placement of the recessed lighting that he was installing and the results were great. His job site management was top notch. After all the cutting, drilling, and nailing was done and the dust settled, our kitchen was left as clean and tidy as when he arrived. After 30 years in sales and marketing, I admittedly have higher expectations of customer service than most people. Olvin's conscientiousness is exactly what you'd want from someone working in your home. Call him, hire him, you won't regret it. read more

I was looking to get a EV charger installed. Our situation is a bit complex and they were very responsive and seemed knowledgeable but their bid was almost twice other bids. It seems sometimes contractors just throw crazy bids out there to see if they can get the business. This concept makes me uncomfortable. read more

Thanks Wire Tech for your help. You arrived on time and as promised for the estimate and then on the day of the job you arrived earlier than you said. It was perfect. You were efficient, got the job done and cleaned up after yourself, which was greatly appreciated. Thanks and I'll definitely call you again. read more

So much good I can say about Olvin and his crew at Wire Tech Electric. They did a complete rewiring of our house including replacing knob and tube wiring. Ultimately, it was Olvin's honesty, professional demeanor, and attention to detail that won him the job. read more

I hired these guys to do a difficult job of running electrical underneath the house that sits on a hill. The retaining walls were a extreme issue. They figured it out and did an excellent job! I was having problems with some outlets/rooms losing power without the breakers tripping. I submitted multiple requests for estimates through Yelp, and Olvin got back to me quickly. Olvin first walked me through some trouble shooting over the phone (which temporarily fixed the issue) until he could come out (same day - huge plus) for an inspection. I ended up needing a new sub-panel and also wanted to install a dedicated outlet for my electric car. Olvin was incredibly professional, quick with his estimates, and a pleasure to work with. He and his team completed the work in ~4 hours and were helpful in answering all of my questions and making sure I understood the location of all of the new breakers and what they controlled. I highly recommend Olvin for any job, big or small. It's tough to find a friendly electrician you can trust, so glad to have found Olvin. read more

5 Stars!!! We sought multiple quotes for our project that included installing two brand new sconces, swapping out two existing sconces, and installing a new plug behind our television. Wire Tech was a middle quote so I felt the pricing was fair. Importantly they also included patching in their scope, which was attractive to us so we didn't have to coordinate with more than one company and Wire Tech could manage end to end. Our home was built in 1930 so the project required some investigation and weighing of options. Olvin and his team were exceptional at presenting creative solutions given some of the tricky architectural details in our home. We are extremely pleased with the result and with the process from start to finish. If we have future projects, we intend to use them again! Thank you! read more

WTE did reply to my general contractor request for troubleshooting a bathroom light switch very promptly, but another electrician contacted me just before they did and I did agree to have that technician come in.
