Second, definitely negotiate. Lastly, if you like picking for stuff, you can find something. It's a lot of junk, but treasure is in the eye of the beholder, especially if you like tsotchkes. I ended up with a hand painted wooden duck decoy from 1981. It's def someone who randomly painted one, and not a priceless artifact, but I'm ok with that. I also ended up getting an old framed small print of a poem, and a vintage Thomas Stanley travel alarm clock that's currently not working, hopefully due to an old battery, but if it's up and running, I saw them on Etsy for $50. It actually feels like you're visiting a collector's den or small museum where most things just happen to be for sale. I've learned a lot about textiles, woven blankets, and handmade quilts from Kingsley and am thankful for the time he took to get his newly acquired "baby" out of the back to show me. We both have a fascination with learning how things are made and we're dazzled by the work on this one. Speaking of "how things are made": he knows a guy named Cort that fixes and cleans old pocket and wrist watches. I bought an antique pocket watch from him a few years ago at a great price and it keeps time perfectly. I had also requested/mentioned I was looking for a specific vintage watch and he found one! Once again: great price. There have been slight issues with watch repair only because of the pandemic making many parts hard to find. I heard that the main source to get things may be or has already closed for good. It's rare to find people and items like the ones you'll find in this shop. But as you make your way through you'll start finding goody after goody after goody. Their collection is extensive. Many old maps of various parts of the world, old stamps, original manuscripts (dating back to the 1750s, at least!), coins, photos, and much more. I ended up walking out with a small anatomy book from the early 1900s. I would recommend a visit to this store if you're around! They are only open a few days a week - so be sure to check ahead to see if they'll be open.

The food vendors present were underwhelming. We had Donna's Tamales and it was quite bland and overpriced. They charged me $18 for 2 corn chili tamales.
