Seems to be a reoccurring theme with this company! Horrible communication skills to begin with!! Then, when someone finally came out they neglected to read their messages/emails! Showed up on the wrong day! Not prepared for crawl space.. Mud everywhere on my new paint job! Never checked the main source of the problem!! Just guessed and replaced a gfi.. as soon as they left the same problem occurred. Had to wait another week for THE SO CALLED OWNER to come out. Never did get his name. Very arrogant! Apparently he has SUPERPOWERS and could see through flooring, insulation and walls. Made a diagnosis on the spot.. refused to go under the house where the problem was!! Found it disturbing that he joked about fitting in the crawl space and then refused to go in. We could have had a serious electrical issue and he wasn't about to do the job he was hired to do. I'm surprised at all the poor reviews here; my experience with them was great. I wanted a backup generator installed in my house. They came out when they said they would, told me that the way my house and electrical panel was situated, installing the generator was going to be very expensive (on the order of $30k). They recommended my buying a portable generator and just having them wire in a receptacle for it--at cost of under $1500. They got the work when they said they would, and it works well. read more

This company as far as communication is the worst... When they installed my solar, they tore up my driveway, which is all gravel. It has never been the same since they also walked off with a metal rake of mine... And no one seems to remember any of that and the first time I have solar issues! They are giving me the runaround they act like I don't know what I'm talking about and I have been without solar for almost 3to 4 weeks.. there's no point in calling to speak to a manager... Because they don't know what's going on and they have no definite answers for you so much for customer service these days I would not recommend this company to anyone read more

My only experience was getting a quote for solar. The price came back extremely high. $87k vs $40k from competitor. They were not transparent about the incentives and just said it's just an estimate.. But they were wanting me to sign and take out a loan... that's a contract. They cheated the numbers in their favor. I asked for clarification multiple times and they never answered my questions. The salesperson that visited my home immediately told me I'd have to upgrade my service panel because there was no room. Anyone with basic electrical knowledge could clearly see it was fine as is. The whole sales process seemed like a ripoff. The other company charged $2.19 per KWH vs Wirenutz bid at $3.19 per KWH. Make sure you get more than one bid!!! read more

We had solar panels put on our house and it's a total scam. We were told we would have a bill that our home is the perfect location for solar. It's been a year and we have called them several times starting in the spring about how we don't think this was working, how were going to be paying a full bill come winter. I think we had two months with no bill and maybe 3 or 4 with out a "full" bill. Definitely not what we though we had agreed too. They have at this point gave up on us it seems told us to have a audit done on our electricity but basically everything is out of their hands since they're on our roof now read more

I used Wire Nutz through my Fidelity National Warranty plan to replace an exhaust Fan in my bathroom. When they installed it, I told them there was an aluminum vent that exhausted out trough the roof in the attic. They said there was no vent to the attic. They would not go into the attic to verify there was or was not a vent. Now I have to hire another contractor to go into the attic and attach the vent to the fan. Without the fan attached to the vent the fan doesn't exhaust at all. I tried to talk to them and have them come back out and they refused. They said it's not their problem that they we're done with the job. very poor customer service. read more

Amazing work and decent prices! Also this guy took the time to FaceTime with me to walk me through a tricky little electrical outlet repair and charged me literally nothing just because he's awesome. I've had him come over a few times for various electrical work as my house is pretty old and janky. Dependable and safe and courteous, and he refused to leave a job on my electrical box that was causing some significant risk for electrical fire that I had never known about that several previous electricians had missed. If you're wondering if he was just padding his invoice, he also refused to accept payment beyond the projected estimate for the job, even though he spent a good two hours longer on the job than he expected to. I'm a little torn on this review. We used Wire Nutz on two separate occasions. The first repair work was handled with ease and I would rate them a five star. I was home during the work. I was not home during the second repair (breaker box replacement) and wasn't as pleased with the services. The work failed the subsequent city electrical inspection. I didn't learn this from Wire Nutz but learned it from my neighbor who sent me a photo of the inspection report from the city. Not so cool. Wire Nutz folks went back out and made the required modifications. I wasn't so happy to find that whomever had returned for Wire Nutz hadn't driven the grounding rods flush with the ground when they were on site and had left them sticking up about an inch. In my way of thinking, this is not good. Some poor soul was going to break a toe on one of these in the future. (They were located about a foot off my house in the grass.) I complained, sent pics. I complained about some trash they left on the job site and sent pics. They did return, fix the issues that the city failed them for, cleaned up a little trash and pounded the grounding stakes flush in the ground. In the end, I'm happy with the job. They were responsive when I texted back and forth with them, which I greatly appreciated! I would use them again, but only for repairs that I would be able to be physically present while the work was being performed. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! FRAUDS, THIEVES, SWINDLERS. The salesman Ryan was dishonest with me about many things including services offered, PGE partnership and net metering, Tax rebates, CPA services, system maintenance, roof warranty, and even promised if I decided to cancel later, he would make sure I was reimbursed regardless what was written in the contract. All of this was said to try to justify charging more than double the competition and to get me to sign the contract which covered very little and contradicted most of what I was verbally promised so that he could get his commission. I signed, stupidly believing the salesman, Paid $31,020 down, and as the install date got closer I realized bit by bit that I had been lied to. When I canceled the contract I was billed an outrageous $10,366.68 when no work had been done at my residence. I have now signed with a competitor who I found through Energy Trust of Oregon. They have been so much more reasonable and honest through the whole process. 11/09/23 update. Called the owner on 10/10/23. he said he would review my case and get back to me in 48-72 hours, but has not called me back. I have posted a complaint to the BBB. Don't let this happen to you!!! Do not let these guys on your property, don't ever sign with them. Don't Give them your money. Don't let what is happening to me happen to you. Go with a contractor from energy trust, and get competing bids before signing with this company. read more

They were a little late but kept us updated so that helped. In looking to fix a problem we were having with our fuse box the technician found a serious hazard that needed to be addressed immediately. He fixed both our problem and the hazard diligently. This was all done with his head inside a dark, crowded pantry and with no complaint. He also explained everything he was doing and relabel the work he had done. Because of the unexpected hazard, he couldn't get to our smaller, second issue. We have been working through our home warranty to have Wire Nutz fix some electrical issues in our home. It's been 8 weeks now and they still have not resolved. We've had to schedule a few a few follow up appointments as the two electricians that initially came to the house were unable to resolve the issues. The second time they were at the house they left and three of our circuits are not working, including the main light in my son's bedroom, which has been challenging. It took two weeks to book another appointment as they said that was he only option for the lead electrician. So they left us without three lights working for two weeks. Also, once the appointment time comes they either move the day or time window (that we've been planning our work schedule around for weeks). I find the customer service and communications extremely poor. I hope that at some point they are able to fix the electric issues. All that being said, the electricians that have come to our home are friendly and professional. read more

I usually don't like to say things that are not the nicest about businesses but this home visit to fix an electrical issue was so bad- I think it warrants a review. I had power go out in part of my home and have a home warranty service; they had the named company come out. The person showed up and I asked him to please meet me at the garage since the breaker circuits were downstairs, he said he would and I took him to the circuit breaker panel which is on the garage. He then wanted to go and see my living room and I asked why- I he said because it might be an issue with the outlets. I said ok, and I'll meet you at the front door- it was raining out and it's easiest to go via the front door instead of walking on the carpet and stairs. Plus I have a broken toes and am very slow up stairs so no need to walk behind me and watch me limp the whole way up. Once I was upstairs my husband told me that he said he wasn't going to do the work because he felt threatened by me. I was asking him why and that was I guess not a question that one can ask. I called the office and started to tell the woman about what happened and she started yelling at me and cut me off mid sentence to tell me that I made him feel bad and he did want to work in my house because I made him go through the front door instead of walk through the house. So sorry that there is COVID19. She then said to me- "Why were you asking him questions?" I then said I didn't want them to have him work on my home, and then she told me in a very rude way that she has to file this with the warranty company and get paid for what he did and then another claim needs to be filed and then I may have someone come out in a couple weeks. I said no thank you I don't want you working on my home and I'm going to call the company. I'm so she told me "Well I'm going to call them first". I felt like I was talking to someone from grade school. She may have been having a bad day- but she sure took it out on me! read more

After calling 4 different electricians, Wire Nutz were the only ones who even bothered to return our call. They were professional over the phone, and sent Ben out the next day to inspect our work requests and later give us a bid. We needed two dedicated circuits, new lighting ballasts in the kitchen, repair of several outlets, and a few other minor items. When we got the bid, we were surprised that it was somewhat lower than we were expecting. We accepted the bid and made a date for the work. About 10 days later, Mike and Jeremy arrived on time and ready to work. They took great care in each of the jobs, to protect themselves, as well as our home and belongings. They were polite and professional. They worked several hours, taking a much needed (and well earned) Gatorade break in the middle. When they finished their work, they cleaned up after themselves which, honestly, was a surprise. Even vacuuming up drywall dust. They did a beautiful job. Their office called to make sure everything was to our liking, and to remind us that the county electrical inspector would come in a few days, and what we would need to do to accommodate the inspector. And we passed inspection with flying colors! Wire Nutz is located in Clark County, WA, and they had to drive an hour to get to our house which really, is only 6-8 miles as the crow flys. But because of the north running Columbia River between our two states, with no bridges between St.Johns and Longview, they had to drive north to Longview, and then south on the Oregon side. My point here, is that they were willing to do it! We were really pleased with Wire Nutz. We can't recommend them more highly. When we do some more work on the house, we will be calling them to help with more electrical improvements. And we want a couple of their t-shirts with that adorable logo! Thanks Matt and everyone. I contacted Wire Nutz Electric through a referral system on the Home Depot website, requesting help with our bathroom fans. Their lack of responsiveness and professionalism from the Wire Nutz team was extremely disappointing, and I would NOT recommend them to anyone who needs help and doesn't have time to waste being jerked around. After I submitted my request through the website, I waited 5 days. I figured that was an acceptable amount of time to give them to reach out to me. On day 6, they sent me a message through the app, saying they were sorry for the delay and asking what I needed. I promptly responded and told them exactly what we needed and how to contact me. I also followed up with a phone call and a voicemail. Through the next two weeks I sent another message through the app, an email, and left another voicemail, and the only response back I got was a message through the app asking me if I still needed them for my project. Complete failure. Extremely unprofessional and a waste of three weeks of my time. I can't believe they would treat a customer like this who wants to utilize their services, so I would encourage others to stay away as well. read more

I didn't hire these guys. They were hired by our home warranty company American Home Shield. We waited the weekend after several outlets in our front living room went out and failed. From my perspective the lack professionalism and were very hard to get ahold of and did not return voicemails I let on 2 separate occasions of the period of the incident. Finally made contact with someone in the office and was not impressed, very short and I felt like I was just another pain in the A@! Customer who was put on there schedule to fulfill a contract by ASH. Upon arrival I showed the Electrician the problem area and he got right to work, but it felt hasty and rushed and didn't really get the feeling from him that this job mattered. I had installed a Dual USB outlet myself which was pretty straightforward so I went ahead and installed it myself instead of paying a ridiculously high price for barebones simplicity. The electrician proceed to question me in a somewhat condescending manner about the USB outlet installation and how long it'd been there. I'm not questioning his reasoning for the inquiries, however tone and perception are another issue. I give 2 stars for showing up and getting the job done, however there wasn't anything else about this experience with this business desirable. I would not recommend them to anyone and will not do business with them in future. read more

i wouldn't book with them.i contacted american home shield and was reffered to wire nutz. was informed wire nutz would contact me w in 24 hrs.2 weeks later i had to contact them.so then i took a 1/2 day off work to get crap takin care of. after checking and rechecking with my work and them, booked a 2-4pm window for specific day. i got a text at 11 am on reserved day saying 2 others canceled before me so they had to come asap or cancel. i asked they honor their commitment and time scheduled. my appointment should not be contingent on others schedule. plus i was working and away from home. thats why i accepted a 2 hr window.the text read basically American home warranty doesn't pay them to stand around.my area is difficult to service at 2-4 pm. sorry. you might want to get some one else.nice so why reserve that time Mr nutz? guess now they lost 3 jobs. if thats how they honor their word count me out.
