I am a commercial contractor and find it absurd to leave reviews for residential services as half of them (if not more) have no idea of what they are talking about, and the there are so many phony paid review services as well. HOWEVER I am so impressed with Absolute and it's staff that in this case I will break my rules and I can honestly say they are professionals, fairly priced, reliable and genuinely nice people. Our contractor recommended Absolute to us last year for air conditioning installation. They did such a good job, they were our first call to have our dryer vent cleaned. I thought this might be challenging -- stacked unit, vent hose through the crawl space, vented out the side of the house. No problem! They were prompt, efficient, neat, quick and reasonably priced. They are amazing. They expertly put in my A/C 4-1/2 years ago, and they do my A/C and furnace maintenance annually. Recently, I had a problem with my older furnace installed by the builders in 2006. And, of course, it had to be when it was almost at freezing outside. Martin responded virtually immediately, knew exactly what the problem was, got the part, and fixed my furnace. He is very experienced, quick, and reliable (as are the other guys with Absolute), and he's such a pleasant person to work with. I have used Absolute twice now. The first time they installed a zone system to split my basement and main floor ducting. Most recently, I had them install a dual-fuel heat pump / gas system for my parents' house. Both experiences have been excellent and the resulting systems have been flawless. All the guys are no-nonsense and dedicated to just getting to the best solution without trying to upsell unneeded equipment or services. Both of the installs they did for me involved some tricky challenges, but they always have a "can-do" attitude and found solid solutions to make everything work perfectly. Hands down the best HVAC company I've ever worked with! Our compressor went out on our 17 year old 5 ton heat pump and I had the option to fix or replace. Seeing that I would have a new compressor with 17 year old parts still in it I made the decision to go with a new heat pump. I had three other companies come out to bid, and after meeting with Martin I knew they were the guys for the job. He understood we were in a bad way with no heat and made it a priority to get us up and running. He and his son came out and knocked the job out in half a day and now have us up and running. The price was better than anyone else that came out, and I researched the product they installed and it fits our needs perfectly. First of all let's just say the worst customer service award goes to the owner and his son. We have had gone through them for multiple years for our heating and cooling and also had purchased an ice machine. Not only did he not show us how to properly maintain the ice machine at purchase but he didn't even tell us it had to be maintained in the first place. I don't about you guys but an ice machine isn't something you know how to work on, and so when we ran into trouble with the machine I gave them a call and they came out to inspect it (8 hours later) then proceeded to tell us basically that we haven't taken care of it like they taught us to ( which they never did ) and as a result they are going to have to do the maintenance themselves. Then he tells me that he is going to have to charge me full price for the time he was out here because it was our fault we didn't maintain the machine. Well I get if you properly set up the buyer with proper instructions you could tell them reasonably that they're going to get charged for not listening . Instead I got told I was getting charged to learn how to maintain a machine I purchased with no proper instructions. When the conversation of why I was getting charged for something that should've been included with my purchased the son kept telling me that it's my fault I didn't maintain the machine and proceeded to just walk out to their van and leave. When I called them to figure out why they just left they very rudely said we are wasting their time and that they don't care for our business and proceeded to tell us not to call them anymore. I just want to say this business is not a reputable business and once you start going through them and you need any assistance from them they'll take their sweet time and arrive 4 hours later than the estimated time they gave you or cancel the appointment and tell you they won't be able to come out for a couple of days. read more

Had Absolute heating and cooling for a thermostat job and the experience was nice, thus our interest in the private contractor installing our air-conditioning unit. This past Friday we had an appointment with Martin and Absolute heating and cooling at 3:00pm; of which, we altered our work schedules to accommodate. At 4:30pm we received a call saying that they needed to cancel the appointment, because a more important call came through. We disagreed with the one week or more put off of the next available appointment, so Martin himself called back and said "You guys need to find somebody else to install your unit, since you can't be accommodating to our changes." He texted and scheduled tentative appointments over the weekend but no-showed them also and had no intention of contacting us. The reason we believe is this fell apart is because they made arrangements with us for 2 payments...half at start and balance in a week. In any case this was very unprofessional and greedy, thus the $200 price increase of the coil that suites the unit. Chose private contractors wisely. read more
