They fixed an aging air conditioner and fairly recently replaced my gas furnace and air conditioner. It was 29 degrees the day of service and I offered to postpone the service. They came anyway. They came a year later to do a courtesy check on the furnace and decided to wait for the check on the air conditioner when it would be more obvious that it was working as it should. Before they installed the new equipment I had asked if they would install an automatic cutoff device on the gas in case of an earthquake. They said they don't usually do that and I was okay with that. Then they called and said they had found the device and would be happy to install it. Recently I noticed that I had a lot of cold air coming in the cabinet above the stove microwave. I had had my roof replaced by Evergreen Renovations and Roofing and suspected that they hadn't hooked up the ducting and vent correctly. I had called the roofer and was told it wasn't their responsibility to hook it up but they would do it as a courtesy if the ducting was flexible. Western Heating and Cooling shared my thought that if you unhook somethinbg, you should reattach it. I didn't know who to call but I asked Western Heating and Cooling if they could check it out. While the roofer showed me a photo of a rigid ducting, the HVAC people showed me a photo of the ducting with a large hole in it. Once again, the weather wasn't ideal for them coming out. It was supposed to get to 102 degrees and I was concerned about their safety in my attic. They still came out, fixed the problem and even did some nice work inside the house around the duct in the cabinet above the microwave. I was thrilled. I asked if that job was something they would usually do and was told that, no, it wasn't. but they would do what need to be done to help me. They are polite and thoughtful about my property and keep me updated as to when they are going to arrive and, unless, there is a problem on the road, they have been prompt. I have recommended Western Heating and Cooling to many people and would highly recommend it to anyone needing their services.

Thank goodness I saw the sticker on my furnace for Midway Heating Company - who'd serviced it years before, because they gave me a free quote and charged me $500 less. They offered to fix the furnace for $600 but it was 30+ years old and high time it was replaced. Better now, when the air-conditioning quit working, than in the winter when the heat would go kaput. Because of the unusually hot weather, they were swamped and could not come out for 3 weeks, but when they did, they did a fantastic job. In fact, they got the job done 3 days early and made arrangements to do so with my tenant - unbeknownst to me. Before making a large purchase like this, always get quotes. The $585 less that Midway is a lot of money to save!

You can tell that everything that was installed was good quality. I'm writing this 3 months after install since we had our air ducts cleaned by an outside company and when everything was turned back on, our thermostat wasn't working. One of their techs, Ryan, tried to troubleshoot with me over the phone and when we couldn't figure that out he came out to our house a few hours later despite not having an appointment available until the following week. It ended up being a very simple fix luckily. This was above and beyond if you ask me. I know we have only had this system for a few months but it makes me glad we chose midway because they truly care about their customers.

We asked for a specific heat pump model with the new R32 refrigerant, but the two other contractors put an old model in the estimate. 2Brothers was also the most reasonable price-wise. And we couldn't have been happier with them. We wanted to take advantage of the Oregon Heat Pump Purchase Program that had just been launched. They weren't participating yet, but after we asked about it, Lisa, who runs the office, filed the papers, and we were able to get the $2,000 rebate. Beyond that, Charlie, the brother, who does the estimates; Casey, the brother who does the installation along with Max; and Lisa (they make up the entire company) were all professional and pleasant to deal with. We chose that system because it gave us the alternate brand of Carrier, at a competitive price. But now, suddenly, the system went down, maybe because of a power surge. We don't know. But on the same day of our request, Vitaliy came and checked it out, ordered parts, tried to get it running in backup mode, but that wasn't going to happen. But he went the extra mile and then some. He was here on a holiday weekend, without complaint and got us working again. Another bonus is that he's a really nice guy and a very responsive communicator.

Poor workmanship can also be seen with the messy sealant application around the ducting, causing a mess around the unit that they didn't clean up and leaky ducts. Wouldn't recommend.

Worst company ever - very deceptive company.
