It was easily one of the best chicken places around here. It was a little long though, but it was worth it.

NOW THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL #LOADED!…read more Let me tell you something about Kee's #Loaded Kitchen. When they say LOADED, they mean EVERY LETTER OF IT! I drove all the way from Everett, Washington, to Portland, Oregon, and I would make that drive again and again just for this food! EVERY SINGLE BITE was seasoned to perfection! Not too much, not too little, just RIGHT! The portions were generous, the lemonade was absolutely delicious, and everything we had was a HIT, NO MISS! But let me tell you what really impressed me. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called before they even opened, and as a courtesy, they actually answered the phone and allowed me to get on their waitlist. I was FIRST on the list! By the time I arrived, there were already about 25 people behind me waiting to get their hands on this food. And because I planned ahead, I didn't have to wait for anything! NOW HERE'S SOME ADVICE YOU NEED TO TAKE SERIOUSLY! Check their opening hours and plan accordingly because they only stay open until they SELL OUT! And trust me, with food this good, you don't want to be the person showing up after everything is gone. I highly recommend calling as soon as they open to get on that waitlist. And when they start calling names, BE ON TIME! Don't have these good people calling your name while you're still trying to figure out where you're going! Now, back to the hospitality! These people understand what it means to take care of their customers. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely interested in making sure everyone had a great experience. And can we talk about the prices? Because finally, somebody understands that good customer service doesn't mean charging people extra for every little thing! No nickel-and-diming, no making you feel like every request comes with another charge. Just generous portions, fair prices, and people who genuinely want you to enjoy your experience. Now, don't misunderstand me. This isn't an invitation for anybody to go looking for freebies. This is about recognizing a business that understands the difference between making money and making customers feel valued. And the FOOD? Baby, they are not playing in that kitchen! Every part of that plate had flavor. Nothing was overlooked, nothing was bland, and nothing was overdone. You could taste the care in every bite. Kee's #Loaded Kitchen isn't just a neighborhood favorite. This is a PORTLAND MUST VISIT! If you're visiting Portland, put this place on your list. And if you live nearby and haven't been, what are you waiting for? #LOADED in portions, #LOADED in flavor, and #LOADED in hospitality! This is how you earn repeat customers. I came from another state, and they made every mile worth it!

Is it worth the hype? Definitely not, in my opinion. Our experience was quite average, especially…read moreconsidering the time and effort it takes to get the food. The entire process can take around 45-60 minutes, and you need to be there by 1 PM to get your order, as many items sell out for the rest of the day. The underwhelming items were the fried fish, fried pork chop, accompanying sides, and dessert. What stood out instead were the fried wings, grilled smoked ribs, and sausage, which were definitely worth trying. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place, especially given the hype and the long wait. That said, it clearly has a loyal fan following, so your experience may vary.

The food truck is located inside a food truck plaza with plenty of options nearby and ample outdoor seating with picnic tables. This particular food truck had a long line, which made the wait to order a bit lengthy. However, it was well worth it. The woman taking orders was incredibly kind and bubbly, which added to the overall experience. After ordering, the food took about 20 minutes to come out, but I did not mind since the sandwiches ended up being really good. The sandwiches were flavorful and very filling. Honestly, I probably could have been satisfied with just one sandwich. Overall, I thought this spot was worth the wait. I would definitely come back if I were in Portland again.

The line ended up being pretty long around 3pm on a Saturday (they close at 3:30pm) and between ordering and getting our food, we waited about 30 min. I did really like the sando though. The scotch egg was nicely fried and crispy on the outside with a soft gyoza stuffing filling. My only wish is that it was a bit easier to eat and that it had more seasoning as the gyoza filling was a bit bland and the egg smaller than I thought it was be. But overall pretty tasty and definitely worth trying. I'll have to come back and try their OG Tokyo Nando sandwich.

One day we'll learn, but apparently that day wasn't this trip. We decided on Guli Kitchen and ordered the chicken shawarma. The portion size was massive and easily enough food to satisfy two travelers who had spent the better part of the day getting to Portland. More importantly, it was delicious. The chicken was flavorful, well-seasoned, and packed into a meal that felt like a great value for the price. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. The owners were incredibly friendly and patient. When they heard this was my first meal in Portland, they took the time to recommend sauces, sides, and other menu items to try. Those little interactions always make a place memorable, especially when you're visiting a new city. Portland's food cart scene gets a lot of attention, and after starting our trip here, I can definitely see why. Great food, generous portions, and genuinely kind people. If you're visiting Rose City Food Park, I'd absolutely recommend giving Guli Kitchen a try.

They also did not have a sign indicating their store hours. I managed to find one store owner who was preparing to start the day and she said most of them open at 11 or 11:30 am. We went down the street to grab donuts and returned to try three different food trucks: 1) At the Momo House, we had the pan-fried vegetarian momo and chole samosa with a side of curry chickpeas. We are big fans of momo, especially when they are handmade. These did not disappoint! 2) At Chochu Local Island BBQ, we had the barbecue chicken plate with a side of rice and salad. This was a popular one with a line at opening. I am glad we waited because the barbecue chicken was really tender, juicy, and flavorful. 3) At Ocean Sushi, we had the tempura shrimp and vegetable spring roll. There were seven pieces of shrimp and five pieces of spring roll. One can never go wrong with fried food! This was plenty of food for us to share. The wooden picnic tables and benches are clean and pleasantly shaded. It was an overwhelmingly hot day so the shades really helped to alleviate that and make it a comfortable setting.

I went with their recommendation and ordered the No. 1 Chicken Shawarma Wrap, and it was fantastic. The shawarma itself was juicy and packed with flavor, and it balanced really nicely against the fresh vegetables and the tanginess from the pickles. The fluffy garlic sauce inside is airy, garlicky, and almost feels whipped, but the pro move is definitely to ask for extra along with some of their house made hot sauce on the side. Everything is wrapped and griddled to toasty perfection, making it an ideal compact grab-and-go lunch, or a great meal to enjoy more leisurely at one of the shaded picnic tables. One thing to note is that the orders do take a bit of time, so it is not the best option if you are in a rush. That said, it is absolutely worth it if you have a little time and patience, so just grab a brew, relax, and enjoy the weather while you wait.

Although it is still new and not all the spaces are filled yet, it seems like it will be a great place to dine there on nice weather days. I had already tried their bingsu food cart. This time I tried the Shawarma House. There are about 3 food carts that serve similar or the same food. I had the triple meat plate. It consisted of lamb, chicken and beef. It came with pita bread and hummus and tzatziki sauce. The sauce that drizzled on top was good but I couldn't quite tell what it was. The lamb meat was by far the best. The chicken and beef was okayed. Hummus and tzatziki serving was large. I wish I had more pita bread so I didn't have to waste the dipping. There was a good amount of rice under the meat. The plate was good overall but there was not enough sauce drizzled on the top. As a result, everything seemed dry.

This is probably my favorite jianbing I've tried so far. I appreciate how many different types of fillings they have. They have a couple vegetarian options which is great! I ordered the fried tofu classic series, which was the first time I've ever had a fried tofu inside a jianbing. The outer layer was more crepe than egg, in comparison to other jianbing I've tried before. But I didn't mind it (and actually enjoyed!). The sauce inside is so flavorful and delicious! The classic was a perfect portion for me, but they also have signature and loaded options if you're really hungry. They also welcome personalizations, as they were willing to accomodate my request of no cilantro and zhacai (Chinese pickled mustard plant stem). The mild spice was perfect and really not spicy at all - I would probably try medium next time. While food trucks can be hit or miss sometimes, this one did not disappoint. The wait for the food was a little long, but it was worth the wait because the food was delicious. The prices are also decent for a food truck. I highly recommend trying this!

We chose Bing Mi because none of us had tried a jianbing before! The food cart is lined up among others. It's easy to spot since it's bright red. They have their menu on display, and lines can vary depending on the time of day. You line up, order and pay, get your buzzer, then pick up your food. Since we came during the lunch rush, it was a bit busy, and the wait was longer, but everything is made to order. The worker was nice and helpful! My manager and I shared the BBQ Pork Jianbing and Pork Chili Oil Wontons. The jianbing was interesting! It was light, and the filling was savory. It fell apart a bit, and even though it was mild, I couldn't taste any spice. I liked the mix of textures, from soft and crunchy to chewy. I wish there were more filling! The wontons were good--well-filled but not spicy. I would recommend trying their jianbing for a quick, on-the-go meal. Bing Mi is a lovely food cart in Pioneer Square that I'm glad I got to try. I'm glad I know what jianbing tastes like, and I'd get it again. I recommend this spot if you like this cuisine!
