Hands down the best fried fish I've ever had, just so juicy and perfectly flaky and meaty. First time I tried it I was eating from a different truck and the guy next to me had a bite and had to dance around the table exclaiming bc of the scrumptiousness and he saw me drooling and gave me a bite. So of course I had to come back and get the full feast w/ a bit of everything. It is not cheap at $85 but it's a shit ton of food - there were 3 of us & we didn't even finish half, easily made another 5 meals out of it. It comes w/ fried fish & fried chicken, chicken wings, ribs, corn on the cob, green beans, baked beans, potato salad, collard greens & some dessert & 2 drinks. And everything was soo good. Fish was my fav and the ribs were so tender and glazed w/ a sweet type of honey mustard that was very tasty. All of the sides were so good too only wished there was a bit more of each as they were gone much quicker than the meat. The only thing that wasn't exceptional was the wings, & they were still pretty good. read more

I'm a mac & cheese connoisseur and when I say her mac and cheese slaps... Her mac and cheese SLAPS! Chicken is a 11/10 perfectly cooked with a hint of lemon pepper but not too much to give you high blood pressure! Drove up from the 206 (seattle) to try Kees loaded and not anyone from our large party was disappointed. Her pork chops are fire!!! And her servings feeds families! 11/10 on the chicken wangs, been following her on IG for a minute and the whole fam wasn't disappointed! Kees loaded was so accommodating they even served my Frenchie with a bowl of water upon check-in (ordering). Kees herself even made an effort to come check on our party to see if we was straight! read more

Lee and her staff were friendly and inviting from the moment they saw me approach the food truck! The greeter took my order right away and even though I ordered everything on the menu, it was ready in less than 10 minutes. Now, this order was indeed large enough to feed four people! My order included Fried fish, Fried chicken wings, Corn on the Cobb, fresh Green beans, 1/2 of Smoked chicken, rices, dinner rolls, two small Sweet Potato cups, and to Peach Lemonade drinks! And trust me when I tell you that it was delicious! the only reason I give it 4 stars is because I feel like they can do better with packaging. They give you so much food that a tin pan or a biodegradable pan that can be sectioned off would be more presentable and easier to carry and serve. But, go check out Kee's Loaded Kitchen! Loaded is an understatement! read more

My wife and I along with another couple drove from Seattle and decided to support this business. Kee's #Loaded Kitchen is the best soul/comfort food in Portland. It sells out every day for a reason. Get there by 3 or it may be gone. We got the $85 platter, which feeds at least 4 comfortably. You got every side, plus fried catfish, fried chicken, fried porkchop, smoked sausage, ribs - all the meats! I think, for a lot of types of food in Portland, there's a really healthy debate about "what's the best" - Italian, Mexican, Thai, sushi, pizza spot, etc. I don't think there's a debate for soul/comfort food. Kee's takes it! read more

Kee's Loaded Kitchen - This is the $85 option. It's huge. Feeds at least 4 comfortably. - Comfort Food Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Extremely disappointed with our experience at Kees Loaded Kitchen in NE Portland. My kids specifically came for the famous Everything Plate and got in line early, only to be #40 in line. They waited over 2 hours, after already paying, just to be told the kitchen was out of nearly everything and the only option left was a chicken dinner. What makes this unacceptable is they continued taking people's money without being upfront about low inventory or what was actually available. Customers deserve honesty before spending their time and money. This wasn't just an inconvenience--it cost me valuable time with my kids, who were traveling from Salem, Oregon to Longview, Washington. That 2-hour delay took away from time we can't get back. I understand popular spots get busy and sell out, but communication and transparency matter. Letting people wait for hours after collecting payment, only to tell them you're out of food, is poor business and incredibly disrespectful to customers. Do better. read more

Every weekend, I have to talk myself out of going to Kee's Loaded Kitchen. We all might be addicted to her fried chicken with gold dust. What's good: Errrythang! But the Mac and Kee's and fried chicken is highly addicting. The chicken tastes real clean like it's been scrubbed down with lemon water before perfectly seasoned, fried, and seasoned again. The ribs -- good lawrd I have to tell the truth and shame the devil: you're not getting better ribs anywhere in PNW. Kee's a true pit master. I'm so excited to try her brisket which I know is going to be fire. Here's the one thing though - you gotta wait if you want this food. Everyone has to wait it's just what it is. The good news is she has a lot of fans and the crowd keeps the wait interesting most days. Kee is also just so hospitable and talented I like many people love seeing her thrive. First plate I had was maybe 5 years ago and the last was this month. May sound impossible but her food has gotten remarkably better- more balanced. More addicting. You've been warned. Pro tip: don't even think of showing up after 3p if you want to be guaranteed a plate. My cousins always late and often snooze and lose. If you're local, you'd want to check instagram make sure she didn't post a "sold out." If you know you know. read more

I've been following Kee on Instagram since 2020! Could not wait to get to Portland to pull up on her! I ordered the LOADED EVERYTHING PLATE, and it was LOADED!! Couldn't even close the boxes! The food was seasoned and plentiful for a family of 4! That fish was my favorite! Wait, then the cake slice with that whipped cream---OUT OF ORDER DELICIOUS!! The misting fans helped cool down the Oregon summer temps and helped create the beautiful ambiance, along with other food trucks in the area! Go see Kee!!! I forgot to say that all sides are included and a drink !!! Likkeeee, where do they do that at?!?! You just choose which meats you want, basically! Just get the LOADED everything and spend $100! read more

We finally went here after seeing numerous posts. First off, ten stars for Kee! She is just the sweetest person and almost everyone asked for a photo with her including me! Her food is pure soul and tons of it! The sausage was quite spicy and we failed to be warned before my husband took a huge bite. The chicken, both fried and bbq, were delicious. We barely touched the everything meal as it was just way too much food! You could honestly feed eight people with it and we did just that the next night with the left overs! read more

Me and my family are originally from Arizona and recently moved out here to Portland and we wanted to call in advance because we're stuck in traffic and we also didn't want to wait so we called but nobody answered so being from Arizona that usually means call again and we did this about four times then she picked up she had an attitude and told us that if they don't answer the first time to not call back and that we almost made her drop the food for another customer which doesn't make since but okay. Would not recommend 1 star read more

There is no food on the planet that is worth waiting almost 2 hours for!!!! You come to the window to get a number (not to initially order) then to be called back in approx 30 minutes to order. Its a vibe for sure with people waiting, chatting, even dancing while they wait. But almost 2 hours. NOPE. the food is good and huge. $45 is the basic meal. Loaded for sure with several sides and a drink. The fried chicken and fish combo w Mac and cheese was a 5. You can make the call on the other sides. I am glad I had the experience but I would not do it again because of the wait time. read more

Came here on the recommendation of someone else. You could tell there were people waiting for orders but there was no line. I saw the list of food and asked which sides had meat to which the woman said she doesn't know. I do believe this is information the person taking orders should know as some people have dietary restrictions. There was a wait for the food but it wasn't too bad. The food looks like a lot. I forgot what the menu said but online there were mostly 5 sides, we ended up with 4: Mac n cheese, green beans, red beans and rice, and corn. There were 4 full fillets of catfish. The seasoning on the fish is on point and the big fillets make it feel very shareable, but the sides were definitely for one person only. The sides tasted okay, but the star was the seasoned crispy catfish. I will also note that an appropriate amount of tartar was provided. The price: $45 is a little pricey for a 1 1/2 person meal with sides that you may or not not like, but if you are a big eater and want a little to have the next day than this might be your jam. read more

Had a very very disappointing experience the food truck was highly recommended by our two millennials we live out of state so we were in Oregon for Father's Day. I could go on and on, but in a nutshell because of limited space we were overcharged when there's a tax-free state we were in get home and they I guess took the tip which they should've charged us half price. We did not get all of our food no fish no pork chops no potato salad. I can go on but have they said when we got there at 12:30 and mind you we were number 28 on the list they were cooking and passing out food to people in the 30s when we inquired we were told she's back there frying fresh fish for you so we took that only to find out not only NO FISH But other items missing And let's not talk about the timeframe we were there over 3 1/2 hours (unacceptable because her name was on the list before we arrived) but when got to the hotel, immediately put in a phone call because it was a number I was going to let her know on returning this food even texted and because there was an email did that also! when no response hit her social media and here it is four days later still no response I expected a "I got you next time" when you come back, I'll refund your money with your number. I'm sorry something, but there was no accountability and that is not good as a business owner. We as a people already have a bad name as it is this wave may be going now, but it will crash and burn if things aren't done right decent and in order, please have some integrity. read more

My husband from Alabama. He knows southern food well. And something in the food gave me the worst runs in the world. I'm talking about cold sweats. Cramps. I was in my restroom every hour. Yelp needs a 6 option for places that taste this good!!! We got to Kee's around 1:30pm and met a wonderfully helpful person working the window. She steered us in the absolute proper direction. We ordered the Loaded Plate which is believed to feed 2-4 people but that is a bit under estimated in my opinion, it will easily serve 4-6 people possibly more? The loaded Plate is $85 and comes with every protein Kee's is serving and one of every side. You can order extras of your favorites! I cannot remember the last time I ate a meal and every single item was fantastic? It reminded me of the perfect plate at Thanksgiving where all your favorite family cooks made their best dish and you over served your plate with a little of everything! That's what Kee's does and she does it very well. We literally can't wait to come back cause we travel to Portland often to eat some of our favorites and this place just moved right on up the list.... Literally at the top! This is comfort food at its best and when I tell you that Kee's is like some kind of Sorcerer of the fry oils, it's also an understatement! She is doing her thang outchea!!! read more

Five stars. Yes the price is worth the food and I'm a big back. I ordered the chicken x catfish. $45 for basically +15 piece of chicken wings, two large pieces of catfish, green beans cooked to perfection, Mac and cheese with the Midas touch or seasoning, Beans & rice (beans are Smoky & the rice probably my favorite as it has brisket & is flavored with a touch of gravy), corn, dessert, and a lemonade. To top it all off, the service was top notch. You can hear Kees in the cooking and vibing, the staff were friendly enough to be a person walking you to heaven from your deathbed. The food was phenomenal. Service top notch and homestyle, idk what more you can ask for. Kee's and the team, nothing brings people together like food. You all have something great here, and you can see it in the people that are eating around the food court and the way you treat your customers. Juicy brisket with so much FLAVOR ( how to get more brisket!!!) didn't for some reason get any ribs? ( maybe next time? Got a smothered chicken/ rice / gravy entrée instead- good but would prefer more of that red meat goodness) ...corn on the cob, potato salad, Mac n cheese, the banana pudding all delicious. Drove from Seattle to see what all the talk was about. WORTH IT! Can't wait to get back for more mac n cheese!

I kept seeing people rave about Kee's on TikTok, so I knew it would be worth it to make the 40 minute trek to NE. As soon as I was handed my order, the smell was so amazing it was overwhelming. I tried my best to wait until I got home to start eating, but I only made it about 5 minutes before I caved and reached for a bite of the catfish. When I tell you that fish was seasoned like no catfish I've ever tried before, believe it. As soon as I got home i was so excited to dig into the sides, ribs, and wings. The level of seasoning I experienced with the catfish definitely carried over to every element of the meal. The chicken wings were my absolute favorite. I love the way their menu is set up. You essentially pick your proteins and they all come with every side, a dessert, and lemonade. It was a one stop shop for a comfort food feast. I can definitely see why they sell out before they close so frequently. I'll be recommending this to everyone I know until the end of time. read more

There's been a lot of social media chatter about Kee's, so with a friend in tow, we tried it out. Street parking, of course, because it's a food truck and it's Portland. Luckily, we got a spot right across the street. We both tried the fried fish and chicken combo. Usually comes 2 pieces of fish, but Kee herself gave us each an extra piece of fish because she felt they were small- shout out to her on that. I honestly don't know how many pieces of chicken were in that box. More than 10, probably closer to 20! The sides included: Mac and cheese, green beans, corn on the cob, rice and red beans, potato salad, a roll, and dessert. The food was mostly well seasoned (a little salty at times), but I was not a fan of the corn. It had some Old Bay seasoning on top, but the corn itself was tasteless. The fish was a little fishy, but if it was whiting, I've experienced that before. The rice and red beans were decent, but not mouthwatering, and the potato salad was a little bland. The chicken wings were great, but to be honest, they were the only things I returned to on a second plate. A TON of food, so bring an appetite! read more

Visiting from Seattle, we decided to try this spot after noticing the recent uptick in reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was mixed. We waited a total of 1.5 hours, about 45 minutes in line and another 45 minutes after ordering before we got our food. We ordered the ribs and pork chops. The pork chops were a highlight--full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The ribs, however, were a disappointment: almost entirely fat with hardly any meat, making them inedible. On the sides, the mac and cheese was excellent--fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The green beans were also good, with plenty of garlic. Overall, while some items shined, the long wait and the quality of the ribs made us unsure if it was worth it. read more

The hype isn't even hype enough! Food: This is a quantity AND quality situation. The food was absolutely phenomenal and there was pounds of it. Green beans were the surprise of the plate- I didn't know green beans could taste so good. All the proteins were fried to magical perfection. Sides were great: Mac and cheese was cheesy, corn was buttery, baked beans were sweet, and the potato salad was just like my grandma used to make. Portion: I would argue Kee's is the best bang for your buck in Portland. For $45 my partner and I had enough food for 2 meals each - literally the amount of chicken wings in this plate alone was worth the price. Service: Everyone here was so kind from ordering, to hearing the workers talk to one another, to being handed our food. Wait: We arrived a few minutes before opening and out our name on the list. We were 6th- once they opened we got to order pretty quickly and food was out within 5 minutes. We were home and eating within 30 minutes. There was shade to wait in and some tables for eating there. Motown and oldies help set the tone and make it feel like a welcoming atmosphere. TLDR: Kee's is worth the hype from the food to the price to the wonderful employees. After 30 minutes they called my name and I ordered the Everything Platter, said it would take another 40 minutes. Shortly after that they were sold out, so I got my order in. $85 for all the sides, fish, pork chops, chicken and spaghetti. 2 hours later I got my food, 4:20 pm. Ran home to eat.
