Extremely disappointed with our experience at Kees Loaded Kitchen in NE Portland. My kids specifically came for the famous Everything Plate and got in line early, only to be #40 in line. They waited over 2 hours, after already paying, just to be told the kitchen was out of nearly everything and the only option left was a chicken dinner. What makes this unacceptable is they continued taking people's money without being upfront about low inventory or what was actually available. Customers deserve honesty before spending their time and money. This wasn't just an inconvenience--it cost me valuable time with my kids, who were traveling from Salem, Oregon to Longview, Washington. That 2-hour delay took away from time we can't get back. I understand popular spots get busy and sell out, but communication and transparency matter. Letting people wait for hours after collecting payment, only to tell them you're out of food, is poor business and incredibly disrespectful to customers. Do better. read more

Had a very very disappointing experience the food truck was highly recommended by our two millennials we live out of state so we were in Oregon for Father's Day. I could go on and on, but in a nutshell because of limited space we were overcharged when there's a tax-free state we were in get home and they I guess took the tip which they should've charged us half price. We did not get all of our food no fish no pork chops no potato salad. I can go on but have they said when we got there at 12:30 and mind you we were number 28 on the list they were cooking and passing out food to people in the 30s when we inquired we were told she's back there frying fresh fish for you so we took that only to find out not only NO FISH But other items missing And let's not talk about the timeframe we were there over 3 1/2 hours (unacceptable because her name was on the list before we arrived) but when got to the hotel, immediately put in a phone call because it was a number I was going to let her know on returning this food even texted and because there was an email did that also! when no response hit her social media and here it is four days later still no response I expected a "I got you next time" when you come back, I'll refund your money with your number. The greeter took my order right away and even though I ordered everything on the menu, it was ready in less than 10 minutes. Now, this order was indeed large enough to feed four people! My order included Fried fish, Fried chicken wings, Corn on the Cobb, fresh Green beans, 1/2 of Smoked chicken, rices, dinner rolls, two small Sweet Potato cups, and to Peach Lemonade drinks! Every weekend, I have to talk myself out of going to Kee's Loaded Kitchen. We all might be addicted to her fried chicken with gold dust. What's good: Errrythang! But the Mac and Kee's and fried chicken is highly addicting. The chicken tastes real clean like it's been scrubbed down with lemon water before perfectly seasoned, fried, and seasoned again. The ribs -- good lawrd I have to tell the truth and shame the devil: you're not getting better ribs anywhere in PNW. Kee's a true pit master. I'm so excited to try her brisket which I know is going to be fire. Here's the one thing though - you gotta wait if you want this food. Everyone has to wait it's just what it is. We finally went here after seeing numerous posts. First off, ten stars for Kee! She is just the sweetest person and almost everyone asked for a photo with her including me! Came here on the recommendation of someone else. You could tell there were people waiting for orders but there was no line. I saw the list of food and asked which sides had meat to which the woman said she doesn't know. I do believe this is information the person taking orders should know as some people have dietary restrictions. There was a wait for the food but it wasn't too bad. The food looks like a lot. I forgot what the menu said but online there were mostly 5 sides, we ended up with 4: Mac n cheese, green beans, red beans and rice, and corn. There were 4 full fillets of catfish. The seasoning on the fish is on point and the big fillets make it feel very shareable, but the sides were definitely for one person only. The sides tasted okay, but the star was the seasoned crispy catfish. I will also note that an appropriate amount of tartar was provided. The loaded Plate is $85 and comes with every protein Kee's is serving and one of every side. You can order extras of your favorites! I kept seeing people rave about Kee's on TikTok, so I knew it would be worth it to make the 40 minute trek to NE. As soon as I was handed my order, the smell was so amazing it was overwhelming. We waited a total of 1.5 hours, about 45 minutes in line and another 45 minutes after ordering before we got our food. We ordered the ribs and pork chops. The pork chops were a highlight--full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The ribs, however, were a disappointment: almost entirely fat with hardly any meat, making them inedible. Luckily, we got a spot right across the street. We both tried the fried fish and chicken combo. Usually comes 2 pieces of fish, but Kee herself gave us each an extra piece of fish because she felt they were small- shout out to her on that. I honestly don't know how many pieces of chicken were in that box. More than 10, probably closer to 20! The sides included: Mac and cheese, green beans, corn on the cob, rice and red beans, potato salad, a roll, and dessert. The food was mostly well seasoned (a little salty at times), but I was not a fan of the corn. It had some Old Bay seasoning on top, but the corn itself was tasteless. The fish was a little fishy, but if it was whiting, I've experienced that before. The rice and red beans were decent, but not mouthwatering, and the potato salad was a little bland. We were 6th- once they opened we got to order pretty quickly and food was out within 5 minutes. We were home and eating within 30 minutes. There was shade to wait in and some tables for eating there. You get several meals worth of delicious food (fried chicken, fish, & pork-chop, BBQ ribs and pulled pork), samplings of ALL menu sides, dessert & drinks. It is all amazing.
