Food is delicious! Got the patty melt and my in laws got the chicken salad and BLTA. Highly recommend for a solid sandwich

Very disappointed. The service was a bit off, as they weren't very welcoming. The inside looked like a typical deli. The food came out in a normal amount of time, but the sandwich was awful. It was packed with ingredients but barely had any flavor and was very bland. The potato salad and jalapeño poppers are the reason I added another star. They were great and luckily had plenty of flavor that the sandwich didn't have. read more

Order: 4 Pointer, cury frys, Doritos for the wait Pros: everything was really good no complaints Cons: off rip, im aggravated because the chip bag size they have hangin and displayed is not what you received. I received a smaller bag of doritos (1oz bag) but they clearly have a slightly bigger bag of the same chip for same price. Is it a big deal prob not but its the principle! read more

I really liked this place, because they had chicken wings, and sandwiches. Their service was friendly and I enjoyed the variety of options. We ordered some wings and one of them was raw and they replaced it right away. It's a cute little shop that had milk crates as decor and was very interesting to see. read more

I ordered the 4 Pointers and it absolutely delivered--super flavorful, perfectly balanced, and just the right amount of everything. The bread was on point, the meats and toppings were fresh, and the whole thing held together like a dream. Service was fast and friendly, and the vibe is low-key but dialed in. You can tell they care about what they're doing. I'll definitely be back to try more. This place gets it. read more

I was craving a sandwich and saw this place was close to a coffee shop that I was on my way to. I stopped here to get a B.L.A.T sandwich and I'm so glad I did! The bacon was stacked inside which made the sandwich delicious! I ended up sharing with my friend who took one look at it and couldn't pass up the offer. I realized after I ordered they they had curly fries and I ordered those too! Both the sandwich with the curly fries was a great choice! They had a lot of drinks to choose from, bags of chips to add and a cool 90's looking atmosphere. The cashier was friendly and helpful and the service was quick! Very happy with my sandwich from here read more

I ordered a sandwich from here to take on the go. I thought they had a lot of really great options on their menu, a lot of the basics, and a mix of out of the norm sandwiches. I'm personally not a huge sandwich eater. I thought the sandwich was good but not fantastic. Two reasons I didn't rate five stars. First, the bread wasn't my favorite. It was pretty hard on half and kind of soggy on the other half from the vinegar. Second, the aioli was completely lost, and was the reason I ordered the sandwich because it sounded so yummy! Did I still eat it and enjoy it? Yes I did! read more

Super yummy sandos. Place isn't too much to look at but sometimes those are the best places. I had the BLTA and it had the perfect combination of crunch, savory, juicy and toasty. The gentleman taking our order was friendly and helpful. We'll be back! read more

Snappy's serves solid sandwiches -- nothing groundbreaking, but definitely tasty and satisfying. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, which makes for a pleasant dining experience. Prices are a bit on the higher side for what you get, but overall it's a reliable spot for a good sandwich. read more

I only had a hankering for three entries in the 2024 Portland Sandwich Week, Snappy's green chile egg salad, ham, and cheddar was one. They had already sold 45 on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. It was decent, but I probably wouldn't reorder. For one, the bread isn't warm. Overall, their sandwich offerings just aren't my thing as they are mostly deli-meat based. The place feels more chain than artisan. Strange as there were no condiments for dine-in, but they sold them by the bottle. Too bad customers can't sample as it was delicious. I'd return just to stock up on the sauce. The counter guy was very nice! read more

Snappy’s - 2024 Portland Sandwich Week entry: meh. But the bottled sauce was excellent. - Sandwiches Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Cute little shop. Veggie supreme was insanely delicious with lots of artichoke hearts.

Bread is soaked in some horrible fat material which destroys all taste. Filings are good once bread enters the landfill

Bread amazing! (Sour Dough) Chicken salad Sando was a little on the lemony side. It was not super flavorful but could taste the lemon in it. I won't try it again but I might try another option bc the bread was amazing! Easy quick order online and pick up. read more

Snappy's is definitely one of the sandwich shops you will see pop up on yelp or be recommended by locals. It's moderately priced and has a fairly simple menu. It can be hard to find parking nearby, but it's doable. The sandwich shop is between two other restaurants a little sunk back. Ask people which line they are in to avoid wasted time. They participate during sandwich week and this last one was great! See in pics. I recently went to try a breakfast sandwich that was a special, but it was sold out when I went a little late that day. The Turkey Club I had was good and has more flavor than most thanks to the herb aioli. The bread is not super soft and a little on the crunchy/airy side. It feels light when you get the sandwich, but it's filling. Cool VHS tapes line the upper walls. read more

I've revisted Snappy's and while I enjoy their sandwiches I would not rate it as a must stop shop but this a spot that is more then then sum of it's parts. Solid service, nice fries, and a very cool interior. Highly underrated offerings for ice cream and sodas in their fridge too. Lot to love here. Service was ok, nobody in the store but I still waited 15 minutes for my food. It was dead in there. Ambiance was 80s throwback with VHS tapes all over the dining area. Food was a little disappointing. The sandwich I bought was $14 plus a $2 tip. For the cost of the sandwich I expected more meat. The sandwich is definitely heavy on the lettuce filler. The flavor was good but didn't "wow" me. This is an average sandwich with a premium price. We won't be back. read more

Snappy’s - 4 pointer sandwich - Sandwiches Near Me - Portland, Oregon

After reading a book set in 1980s Pennsylvania that repeatedly referenced Italian hoagies, I was desperately craving one myself. Then I remembered that Snappy's exists, and they delivered, in spades (not literally though, I went to pick it up myself). Granted, my experience was limited since I only tried the 4 Pointer (Italian-style sub sandwich) but it hit. Savory, with a punch of acidity from the vinegar, stuffed with fillings and sizable enough for two meals, making the $15 price tag well worth it. I immediately inhaled half, felt very full, and spent the next two hours obsessively thinking about eating the other half, waiting impatiently for my stomach to make room. I found myself in the area the next day and it took all of my willpower not to stop in again and pick up another. You know it's a sign of a solid joint/meal when you can't stop thinking about the next time you're going to eat there. Snappy's slaps. read more

Drinks: - Null Food: - The 4 pointer to me wasn't that great to me. It's a quintessential cold sub sandwich but maybe the pepperoncini overpowered the sandwich a bit (even though I like pepperoncini). - The Beef and Cheese was my favorite, what's not to like about beef and cheese? I mean this is a match made in heaven. The horseradish cream and fried onions just take this sandwich to the next level. This is a must get for me - The Spicy Sausage Marinara was textbook flavor wise. I wished the sausage had more of a bite to it. The sausage in this sub was a little soft for my taste but if you like it that way then you'll like this sub. Ambience: - I loved all the VHS tapes on the shelves lining the walls of the place - Their food selection is so unique and there's something really aesthetically pleasing about their fridges. I think it's the way it's organized that caught my attention - They have a small TV in the corner of the room playing old VHS films which was so cool to me - I loved all the vintage memorabilia on the walls, specifically the autographs of famous actors that have visited Overall: I didn't realize that this place is more like a bodega than a restaurant. There's no seating so it's pretty much only good for take out. The person taking my order was super personable and nice. We had a really nice talk, you can tell they care about their customers which I appreciate. The vibe of the place is just top notch. It's clean, vintage, has a bunch of interesting memorabilia to look at and admire. I will be returning for sure to try the other subs. The ones I want to try next are: the patty melt, the turkey club, and the pulled pork. I also remember reading a quote from the signed Charlie Sheen portrait saying "This place with blow you away, and trust me I know a thing or two about blow" (or something like that). That single line alone should tell you what this place is like. read more

Mando sando is this a tasty sandwich shop. I ordered the turkey club and was not disappointed. The herbed mayo on the sandwich with the vinegar and oil made every bite of this sandwich a thing of heaven, a perfect balance. I believe the bread is made in house and has the perfect balance of crunch and pliability that keeps you coming back for more scrumptious bites. For the price, the sandwich is a good size and was very filling. The staff is super friendly and they made my sandwich very quick. We live in Corbett and I would not hesitate to drive 40 minutes to pick up another sandwich from Snappy's. I cannot wait to try the other sandwich combos on the menu. read more

A retro spot to grab some sandwiches. It's tucked in between two other restaurants so conveniently located if you need variety of food options for your group. I placed a delivery order. The courier left it on the porch without knocking or ringing the doorbell, denying me the opportunity to verify its accuracy before they left. The sandwich was missing. I called, and Snappy's did not offer to deliver a replacement and instead said they would provide a refund. That refund never posted. If you order delivery from Snappy's, I suggest using a third-party service such as DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc., since they will refund missing items easier than going through your financial institution to dispute a (partial) charge. read more

Last time I tried to eat here, they ran out of bread. I guess that's a good sign. I got the spicy sausage. I felt I came at a not very busy time but my order still took longer than I thought necessary. I'm curious how quickly it normally gets done. The sandwich was plenty spicy as advertised. The sausage was tasty but a touch dry. Some of the dry herbs were a little too strong in the mix. The sauce was ok but I thought it could have used more. The sandwich is a mess but that's not a deal breaker. The bread was solid and the right substance for the sandwich. My issue was that the wax paper stuck to and took off all of the cheese. The cheese was delicious and necessary, but it just ended up being picked in small pieces. I could be convinced to come back Ave try something else. It impressed well enough read more

I had their sandwich week special. It was ice cold, no flavor almost threw it out! After a couple of hours (went to a movie) it was allot better, the ham was really flavorful, but the bread wasn't quit as good it was warm before. I microwaved the other half with some of the cheese, it was about the same. Surprised the small amount of ham tasted so good with all the bread. 2nd best sandwich week sandwich, but that has been a disappointment, so far. Place wasn't busy, clean, a few people outside. About 4pm on Thursday. read more

BEASTED! Mr. Snappy you just made two girls VERRYYY happy. Straight off the plane we waddled our way down to Sammy's and upon first walking in we immediately knew we made the right choice. Tables full of happy sandwich eaters, the VHS playing 80s and 90s classics coupled with the vintage posters curated the perfect sandwich consuming vibe. We devoured our subs in a record breaking speed (cannot officially claim and record but I fear we did set one). The toasted veggie sub and jalapeño poppers kept me warm in this chilly weather, but it didn't just warm my stomach, it warmed my soul. Other sub shops just throw leafy greens between to slices of bread and call it a veggie sub, but Mr. Snappy marinated those veggies with love and secret sauce and heated it to perfection. The jalapeños were bursting with flavor and cheese, I couldn't have asked for a better side to complement my sammy. If you want some artisan subs I HIGHLY recommend if you're in the Portland area. read more

The 4 Pointer is the best Italian sub I've had so far in Portland! I'm originally from the east coast where subs/hoagies have their own culture and Snappy's is the closest thing to that! Had some mishaps with delivery so I didn't get to try their food super fresh or hot but even then I was very impressed by the quality and quantity of the food from Snappy's! The Tuna Melt was huge and they're very generous with their tuna here, it was practically overflowing with big albacore tuna chunks. The sourdough they used remained fairly crispy despite many hours of being out and not eaten (damn you grubhub...). I love the addition of celery and potato chips for the crunch. The sandwich was very toasty on both sides, which is how I like it. I'll definitely be back to try this fresh off the grill when I get vaccinated. I also got a box of the Crispy Wings in sweet soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Again, I doubt I got to try them at their peak form but the flavors were still good. Just wish I could have had them when they're crispy and hot... The package of delivery was very neat and secure, not just thrown together like with some places. Thanks for a super filling meal! Y'all are doing great. read more

When I pulled up to Snappy's I was pretty confused bc I've been to Nong's and Miruken countless times and never even noticed the was space in between both restaurants. The cashier steered me to the Beef and Cheddar sandwich, and I'm so glad he did. I'm usually not a French dip person, but this was one of the few I actually enjoyed and loved. The french roll was so perfect for the french dip. The exterior had a thin but crisp and crunchy crust and the interior was pillowy soft. The roll was substantial enough to hold up to a generous dunk in the au jus. I usually hate french dips bc a lot of the times the bread just disintegrates or falls apart after dipping, or the bread just soaks up too much broth and it becomes a really messy affair. Not here at Snappy's. The au jus was so damn delicious. It was an umami bomb unlike any other au jus that I've ever had. There was carmelized onions in it that added some depth, and I was curious if they might have added some mushroom powder to up the flavor as well. Everything worked really well together and the flavors complimented each other well. I don't know if I'll even work thru the menu here since I liked the beef and cheddar that much. read more

IYKYK. Dear fellow chicken salad lovers, this is not the place for your chicken salad sandwich. Meat very sketchy ... some brown / some white ... weird fatty pieces. Mostly ... no flavor or distinction. I scraped it all off and ate the bread with a single slice of butter lettuce and a single tomato slice.
