Just ok...way too expensive for what you get. They change the menu every week so what I really wanted wasn't there anymore. $15 for a just ok risotto...no thanks. There was supposed to be asparagus and parmesan cheese in there, but I didn't see or taste either of them. The guy in the truck had a real attitude when I told him that I was writing for Yelp .." you and everyone else" is what he said. Like why should we matter. Had some kind of chick pea flat bread too....bland central. Apparently they can't even invest in pagers to let you know that your food is ready. No thanks.

Hi-end Italian cart that probably shouldn't be compared to Gumba as the dishes are from two separate regions. The Peposo di Manzo was very good, the kale salad would make a great entree. The moist polenta is more cake-like than creamy, which is how I prefer it. And the beef is rich, so good. However, at $15 (September 2021) it's pricy for a food cart. The Torta di Ceci is a wonderful side dish, you don't often find such eclectic options at Italian sit down restaurants. Lastly, the vegan potato vellutata soup was light, but full of flavor. The two guys were cool, service was somewhat fast. They sit alone in a huge parking lot which sometimes hosts the Farmers Market. I look forward to trying their marquee item: porchetta.

Friendly folks and great Italian panino! I had the chickpea and eggplant sandwich with grilled and marinated eggplant and tastiest side salad ever. Home made bread, hot and toasted! So much flavor. Menu changes frequently... waiting for the porchetta and roasted potatoes to return.

This is a gem of a spot, the paninis are both delicious and highly satisfying. Definitely a must-stop spot for a quick sandwich and a very well made and tasty one at that. The tart was fantastic, so rich and flavorful, I could seriously eat that once a week it is just a delightful dessert. The vegan eggplant sandwich had strong garlic spread and a very well done eggplant in the best of ways and the pork loin sandwich had a great mustard that very much complimented the meat. All in all a very very good experience and we most certainly will be returning for more!

Simply delicious food. Quality ingredients, very reasonably priced. Came here since it was close to the airport and I was waiting for a friend to arrive. Got the eggplant and mozzarella sandwich. I almost never go with the vegetarian option but the owner's brother working the cash register recommended it as one of their signature menu items and I'm glad he did. It was very flavorful and unique. Can't say I've had another sandwich like it. Seems pretty healthy as well, not greasy or heavy. My friend had the flat iron steak which also left him blown away. Definitely come try this place if you're in the area.

Don't sleep on this food cart. The nicest people, and seriously delicious paninis. The most unique ingredients that go together so well. I believe the menu rotates fairly often but it seems like ons of the four "main" sandwiches is always vegan, one vegetarian, and the other two meat.

I ordered the 5e5 sandwich which I think as is is vegan, but since I'm not vegan, added mozzarella and prosciutto to it. This sandwich was AMAZING. The bread, crunchy, fluffy, floury. The eggplant was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the mozzarella added the perfect element of melty goodness! My friend ordered the porchetta and it was out of this world. I will 100% be coming back and ordering everything else on the menu. Oh and also a wonderful plus, the woman working who I think is one of the owners and from Italy, was so so sweet and friendly.

When homesickness hits the best medicine is real authentic food from home- Tuscany maybe an ocean away but these people sure know how to bring it here in our beloved Portland! As an Italian abroad, I live for just the right kind of flavors and it is far from easy to find- look no further!!! Bravissimi Sorbu, your Torta di Ceci is balm for my heart. And my kids are devouring this amazing Focaccia!

Grassa - Carbonara Pasta

Dearest gentle readers,…read more A most scandalous correction must be issued how careless of me. The establishment in question is none other than the divine Grassa, a name that now rolls off the tongue with the same richness as its most indulgent fare. And oh, what fare it is. Here, along the lively stretch of Portland, one may witness noodles brought to life before their very eyes fresh, authentic, and handled with a confidence that borders on audacity. These delicate strands are then enrobed in a mac and cheese so decadently composed, so brazenly elevated, that it dares to redefine comfort itself. And just when one believes it cannot be improved enter the pig belly. Crisp, tender, and unapologetically rich... a finishing touch that transforms the dish into something whispered about in only the most exclusive of circles. Yes, dear reader, this is the sort of indulgence that lingers long after the final bite... the kind that ruins lesser versions without remorse. And so, with that final truth properly set, I take my leave once more. The tales of this fair city draw to a close, but not without leaving behind a most delicious legacy. Until our next adventure ever eastward. Yours most faithfully,

The food was freshly prepared and served promptly to the table. They have a selection of alcoholic beverages as well. You order at the counter so that could be a little time consuming and the food is served to your table. The seating is a mix of booths and communal tables. Definitely would visit again if the occasion arises.
