Winn-Dixie has certainly done a great job at turning itself around after this supermarket chain allowed itself to fall into mediocrity. When I first moved to Florida back in 2001, Winn-Dixie had one of my go-to supermarkets. Back then, pretty much the big games in town were Winn-Dixie, Publix and Albertson's (do you remember Albertson's?). In the meantime, Albertson"s has pretty much disappeared and Winn-Dixie for years slipped into a string decline. One of the saddest things about the slippage in Winn-Dixie was the drop in quality in their meat department. Winn-Dixie once probably described itself as the "Beef People." As time progressed, Winn-Dixie started putting an emphasis on their cheaper "USDA Inspected, Not Graded" meat offerings instead of USDA Choice grade meat. Just remember the old adage that you get what you pay for. This meat is usually terrible. Winn-Dixie finally noticed and has taken very proactive steps into addressing their decline. While they close some stores, the other ones received an expensive facelift. They also started putting an emphasis on USDA Choice beef again. This particular Winn-Dixie is it good place to head towards to do a bit of food shopping. I would definitely recommend here. read more

I absolutely hate this store, last night was the second time I felt discriminated against. Me and my husband had a few items, self check out attendant was trying to force me to use a regular register lane when the line was like 6-8 customers deep. Only one lane was open. Why would I stand and wait in the line when no line at self check out? He literally stood over us and watched us scan each item. This has happened once before it was me and my cousin she was buying a few things I was buying a few things. We were told we were not allowed to use self check out, we advised the attendant it was a split order and there was no need to wait in a line when there was none for self checkout. He simply stated "we were not allowed" so we left the cart and went to Publix. If there are more than one register open I would have been okay but I'm not going to wait in a line at one open register for what? Why is this happening? You are closer to me than Publix but if this is the service I will be provided. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Workers are pretty nice. Lines can be a little long at times, but deals are great. Always fresh produce and meats. Deli is closed at random times during business hours for cleaning, but I'd rather have a freshly cleaned kitchen area and wait a bit. read more

Just moved to this area and I am minutes away from this Winn-Dixie so I thought might as well try it. Ever since I first stepped in, I knew this was my shopping place! First the veggie selection and fruit selection are awesome, and much larger and impressive than Publix stores. They have a nice organic section too. Nothing ever looks old or rotten. They also sell fresh juices, kombucha, etc. secondly- they always have awesome sales going on I am such a sucker for buying get one free. It saves me so much money! They usually have great sales especially in the meat section. Previously frozen whole lobsters are also only about 6$ each! Can't beat that. They have a nice deli, full of pre made items for grab and go- sandwiches etc. lastly- they always have a mystery bonus at the bottom of the recipes if you spend 30 or more dollars. With that I have been able to save sooo much money. Sometimes it's 21x the points and I get get 40$ or so off my next visit! I love this winnidixie and everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. There is a loss preventions officer always in front to monitor and make sure everyone is safe. read more

The worst customer service. Disrespectful and not friendly. Hard to tell who works there and how doesn't.

The express/lottery/money gram line is also the line for cigarettes and for food stamp shoppers who always have too many items and need to have items removed from their purchase, making the express lane very slow. read more

Clean, well stocked, always great deals. Had a nice chat eith our checkout lady who had really nice magenta and brown braids in her hair. I love that WD does buy 1, get 1 free so often plus I really think their prices are lower than other chains overall. Guys in the deli are very helpful as are the stock guys. Oh and they have inexpensive coconut water! This is my husbands and my fave shopping place. read more

We are normally Publix customers but recently decided to compare prices at another location due to the increase in food prices. Sweet Bay transitioned over to Winn Dixie so we thought we would give it a try. Although some items varied, our overall price per item remained slightly lower for Publix items when comparing similar items on our total bill. I think that the store lighting was dull compared to Publix. Midway through my list, I felt a bit lethargic, tired, and not inspired to continue shopping. On a positive note, I was surprised that the store looked much cleaner than my last visit under the Sweetbay brand. The staff were friendly and appeared to care more about the products, especially in the produce section. The cashiers were courteous and engaged us in pleasant conversation while ringing up our transaction. I appreciate that the staff seemed to care more about talking to us than talking away from us to other staff. The experience was good and I have to say that Winn Dixie seems to be raising the bar in Temple Terrace. I do feel if the store lighting was addressed, the store would appear cleaner, brighter, and more dynamic. We'll give Winn Dixie another try thanks to the staff. read more

As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted by friendly and helpful employees. The store is well organized and clean. One downside to the store is the bakery could have wider variety of cakes and goodies. Other than that this store is well managed, with great prices, and excellent customer service. read more

I entered the store as I felt a atmosphere that made my heart crap my pants. The staff was rude . the grocerys were over priced.

I love this particular Winn-Dixie because of its large number of organic products. There is an organic section on every aisle and it is well-marked so I can go right to it. MUCH better selection than Publix, and I earn FuelPerks points with my purchases. I do wish they would stock organic meat like Murray's non-GMO chicken (carried at Publix), but I will just keep going direct to my local farmers for my meat and eggs. read more

This location is very clean and well organized. Beautiful produce section. The staff is very helpful. I needed to buy a package of pepperoni, but they didn't have any out on the shelves. A member of the staff was apologetic and went in the back to find me some. There is always a buy one get one free deal and the fuel perks are pretty awesome! read more
