My experiences are always very, very good Publix stores. I recently was traveling and had some fantastic seedless purple grapes upon my return. I stocked my fridge and of course, got some wonderful fruit and grapes. The grapes that I'm getting from Publix of late seem to have a chemical taste or residue. Perhaps they should consider washing them better in addition to my always washing them. This is gonna keep me from purchasing grapes and plums from our friends at Publix Publix. read more

Beautiful Publix store with upstairs covered parking. Top quality fruit with the raspberries/blackberries very fresh. Interesting bakery section with the Pugliese Cheese semolina bread, a very unique item and delicious. Wish there was more of higher end chocolate selection. Still Publix is much better than Safeway/Kroger/Albertsons, and glad to visit one while in Tampa. Friendly staff. read more

Publix food has always seem to surpass expectations! My husband especially love the apple pie which he claims is currently the best! That's a great compliment since it is his favorite dessert! We are just visiting the area but we will definitely be back. The cashier and the bagger were very friendly and courteous. Not just during this visit but also from previous visits. The place is always clean, organized, and projects all-positive vibes. This is definitely a great place to food shop! read more

They have the worst bakery dept in the morning, they ladies are in a bad mood, nothing is ready and what they have ready they can't give it to you because is too hot and if by any chance they give it to you and you asked them to slice it for you and they would say NO...they don't want to do anything in the morning read more

Publix - Grocery Near Me - Tampa, Florida

I initially didn't understand the hype around Publix. For those of us in the Midwest/Southern states on the Midwestern border, it looks and feels a lot like Kroger. Albeit a bit more brightly lit. Couldn't tell if prices were more elevated than other grocery options. Seemed similar to Kroger and sometimes a mix of premium prices like what you get at Whole Foods. Produce section was small. Not a ton of apple types to choose from. Not something I'm used to. We only came to get fruits, snacks, and a jug of water. We completely skipped the sub section. A fellow Yelper suggested the subs, so you'll find me back here ordering one! Parking was easy peasy. You drive up into the parking garage. Not even all that busy for a Friday close to noon. Where was everyone at?!?! We found parking right by the escalator that takes you down to the grocery. I saw a lot of people bringing reusable bags with the Publix logo. Love that! There's also a special escalator you can put your grocery cart in, so it's not troublesome to bring it up to your car. Amazing! read more

I've been shopping at Publix for many decades. My mother knew the founders George Jenkins and the first store was near where we lived. This store is a different configuration than most and I love it. Same great company and product quality. read more

Think of what Publix would look like on steroids, this is it! I didn't think a Publix could get this fancy! They even have their own parking garage! They have a speciality section for everything! I would never expect to sit in a wine bar in a Publix! They also had special sections for cheese, a huge bakery, coffee and gelato! They have about the same selection of groceries as a small Publix, it's the speciality spots that make this Publix extraordinary! The staff here are experts in their speciality foods and we're excited when talking about their products (looking at you cheese department guy)! I didn't catch his name, but he was very helpful with picking out cheese and talking about Greenwise locations that were up and coming! He also gave us an idea of how this location will look after its remodeled! This is a wonderful concept store, we need one in Orlando! read more

Publix just keeps surprising me with the difference. Now Ramen, wow. This Ramen is up there with other Ramen locations. And for a grocery store, I did not expect it to be that good. You'll have to shop there. Cheers read more

I grew up with Publix. I was the kid with my feet hanging out of the cart and then in turn my kids did the same. When Greenwise opened it was only natural for me to become a loyal customer here. Love the parking garage especially when our rainy season hits. As far as customer service goes Publix is on top of their game. The people are as nice and helpful as possible. They truly go above and beyond. They have a beautiful produce, seafood/meat and cheese section. The meat dept has the largest selection of upper end beef that I have ever seen. Very pricey but extensive. The supplement section is packed full and you can usually catch a well seasoned associate to help you here. read more

Got a deli sub at this location, but had an experience that did not meet the high standard that Publix usually meets. I ordered the same sub that I usually do, but this time the sub looked completely different. I'm unsure if team member Iris was having a bad day, but the entire time she was helping with my order she seemed like she just did not want to be there. After asking to toast my sub, she actually left my sub inside the oven and proceeded to do other things and walk around. The oven actually had to be opened by another team member so the sub wouldn't actually burn and char more than it already did. read more

This is a phenomenal grocery store! Should I even call it that, though? I mean, this place has everything. A bakery that includes breads, custom cakes and pastries, fresh gelato, a salad bar, cheeses for all tastes - it's endless. There's a monster wine selection here, too, with buy-one get-one deals all the time. Good prices, too. Their butcher has a number of meats and poultry already marinaded or prepped to cook. I tried a sirloin cut marinaded in a garlic chipotle glaze that was scrumptious! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking garage is above the store and covered, so no walking in the rain. There's also a special escalator just for your cart - how cool is that?!? This is Publix's answer to Whole Foods, and it's a great one at that. The store isn't too large either so your shopping experience is quick and painless. read more

Eventhough this store doesn't stock everything, at times I make it a point to come to this store over the others nearby because of ONE reason.... The employees are extraordinarily helpful and friendly! I am not a stickler on the "Greenwise" part of it...yet...I may change my mind, but as I visit this store more and more I will be paying more attention to those specific items. I just like how every time I'm there, someone asks me in the aisles if I'm finding everything ok. And there are times when I say no...and when I show someone what it is I am looking for, they don't wait for me to ask them to go find it or see if they have it somewhere in the store - they just do it! THAT is the customer service that I know and expect from Publix. I will shop here more than not for that reason alone. :) read more

Why 4 stars? It's the best grocery store for everything but groceries. --- --- --- It'd be like if the iPhone 5 was able to teleport matter over FaceTime, drive your car and go to the gym for you....but it struggled to make calls. Publix Greenwise has everything under the sun; a hot food buffet, salad bar, gelato counter, full sandwich bar, an extensive bakery, pasta bar, an in-house event planner (!), a sushi chef, 4x the normal amount of steak/chicken/beef (including Kobe Beef) and more cheese than you could fit into the entire city of Seminole. What holds Publix Greenwise back is that it's not a practical place for doing your actual grocery shopping. Because most products in here are organic/green, it's impossible to find all of your normal supplies that you'd get from a regular Publix. I had a Garlic Steak Sandwich with Mac-n-Cheese during my last visit. It was surprisingly not great. That being said, I would absolutely go back for lunch or dinner again because there is a vast selection of choices. What's not to like about riding down an escalator to get into a grocery store? I think that, and the part of the escalator that's just for shopping carts, is worth 3 stars alone. read more

This Publix Greenwise is much better than the standard Publix on Neptune. It's not typically crowded when I visit after work, and there is always plenty of parking. I love having this Publix close because it has a great selection of wine and cheeses. They also have more selection when it comes to prepared food. The store is always clean and it's laid out pretty well. If I can't find something the staff at the store always goes out of their way to check the back or help me find what I'm looking for. read more

This is a nice "city style" Publix market. The store is well appointed and well lit. Shopping is convenient and the produce and foods offered are high quality. They have nice flowers, deli offerings, and good customer service. I approve. The organic prices are a lil crazy. $8 for three zucchini? Bring on the pesticide. I was at 4 stars for the convenience and cleanliness of the store but now I'm down to 2 stars overall. *No Ivory Soap *Only Extra Strength Tylenol *None of the original Ricola's, just sugar free and Publix brand *If you pronounce Publix wrong it sounds inappropriate *The last guy I had at check out kept twisting the face piercing sticking out from below his lip and was then touching my groceries. No Manishevitz wine during Passover I much prefer Trader Joes. Aldi is better curated with tastier offerings and better deals. And compared to Rolling Oats, Publix food is full of preservatives and dough conditioners and all sorts of nastiness I don't want. Sproutd is coming too. YEAAAAAAH!!!! Make it fresh please and leave out the garbage!!! And why can't I get preservative free tortillas? Bo will have to send some back from L.A. The ones with lard are delicioso. So much better than the shelf stable crap you get aqui. read more

We'd never been to this South Tampa Publix before but I have to say, it's spectacular! We met the butcher at a Yelp event so we popped in to get some steaks and sausage for the barbecue grill. Nothing like perfecto bone-in ribeye to make grilling worthwhile! Unfortunately, they were out of the fresh sage sausage but we will get it next time! As for this Publix, wow! There is a multistory parking garage and a huge spotless store with everything you could ever want including a massive confection area and another huge seafood layout! The scale of the place reminded me of Wegman's up north but perhaps even nicer! read more

This location is super close to me & great for meat/poultry, produce. I actually always buy my ground beef here...the difference in the color from regular publix ground beef and the organic is sale and proof enough! What the heck are we feeding non organic animals? My go-to lunch spot! You can get everything from sandwiches, salad, sushi, pizza, Chinese food, BBQ or burgers here. Most days I am in a rush and just grab some sushi or make a salad, but when I have time I'll get the chicken quesadilla. The 10 minute wait is completely worth it! There is a small seating area near the salad bar if you prefer to dine in as well as some seating with shady umbrellas outside. Check out the bakery. They make everything from eclairs to cookies and cupcakes... so many tempting desserts! I actually ordered my wedding cake from Publix Greenwise (my guests loved it!). So many great things I can say about this grocery store... good cheese and wine selection, fresh flowers, great sushi and pre-made meals. read more

Publix - Our Wedding Cake from Publix Greenwise Market. - Grocery Near Me - Tampa, Florida

In my pre-wedding madness, I completely forgot to order a wedding cake. Less than two weeks before my wedding day, and after being turned away by other bakeries due to the short notice, I called the Publix catering team at the Hyde Park location. Amanda and Ciara both did a wonderful job of quickly putting together a tasting and getting my order in. The order had to be transferred to another location, which they did with no problem, checking to make sure the other location could fulfill the order and delivery. Ultimately Sarah at the Boot Ranch location took care of my order. She called me prior to the wedding to confirm details and my three-tiered cake turned out exactly as I wanted it. The delivery was smooth and on time and everyone loved it! I am so happy with my experience and highly recommend Publix catering and bakery. Both locations did a wonderful job, and I am so thankful. Thank you for your excellent work! read more

I have died and gone to heaven, which is apparently Publix Greenwise. This Publix has almost everything you can find in a regular Publix, but it also has a lot more. There's a hot food buffet, a salad bar, a sandwich bar, gelato, a pizza oven, sushi chef...well, I could go on, but you get the idea. Expect to pay a little bit more for your meats/general groceries, but keep in mind that you will probably find higher quality stuff here. The cheese selection is to die for and the hot food bar is REALLY good. The service here can't be beat. I like it a lot more than my regular Publix. I'd rather go here for the overall experience even though it's a little further away from me than my "home" Publix. They have basically all the same specials that all the other Publix grocery stores have, and then some. Five stars. read more

On a rainy day like today, it's nice to be able to park and shop without getting wet. I agree with Brett's assessment of this Publix. It's great for everything except groceries. This Publix has a great, expanded lunch area. Similar to Whole Foods, there is a salad bar, a hot food bar, soups, subs and other sandwiches made to order and more. There is sushi too, but it is over in the fish section of the store. Anyway, whatever you choose, you can eat it there at one of the tables, or get it to go. Unlike Whole Foods, it is easy in and easy out of the parking lot. Because it is between Howard and Armenia, it is easy to get to from 275 and my job in Ybor. When I go over to the Target/Whole Foods complex getting in and out can be murder. It takes much less time going here, which means I have more time to enjoy my lunch. This was the first time I had food from the hot food bar, I tried a couple different Asian style dishes and they were all pretty good. One complaint my friends and I had was that there was no sauce for the egg rolls. They do have condiments over by the drinks, but they did not have anything that would go on egg rolls or hot sauce (there was ketchup, mustard, salt pepper and of all things, grape jelly.) We sat outside and it was really nice because the landscaping blocks the road. I frequently hit the Publix on Platt Street because they have a lot of fresh, pre-made salads and sushi for lunch, and I can always pick up a few groceries and keep them in the fridge at work so I don't have to stop after work. However, I think we are going to start going to this store a little more because my friend really liked it as well. I would say if you work in and around Ybor, South Tampa or even downtown, this is a good option. read more

A TOTAL PIECE OF SHIT! This place has REALLY gone downhill since it opened. The bakery, which used to have all manner of gourmet and organic items, is now a sparsely stocked crap-fest of regular Publix bakery junk. The hot bar used to have great foods; now it looks like what you would find at the hot bar at Winn-Dixie. Publix has REALLY scaled back on the premium and natural food features of this store. So my question is: Why even bother calling it a Greenwise? Just take the sign off and call it what it is: a Publix. read more

I like going aisle by aisle when I'm in a store... just because. A beautiful location and feel inside this location near Tampa International Airport. Great fresh and organic selections store wide. My friend and I stopped here just before catching my flight back to the west coast and I was starving. I had a steak sandwich with a side of sweet potatoes. It was delicious and my sweet potatoes had a hint of cinnamon just like I would have wanted. I looooooooove this store. Granted, it's more expensive than the regular Publix but for lunch and gluten free and cheese selection it ROCKS. I can't compare it to Whole Foods b/c I never go there but as a faithful Publix shopper, I really love this store! It always very clean and the folks who work there are super helpful and nice. I love the hot bar and the salad bar. Plus, they have subs and meals you can order and go. I mainly go for that but was really pleased with the gluten free selection of foods as well as the great cheese selction. In addition, they have regular foods if you need to pick up some run of the mill stuff. Meaning, you can get non fancy pants items closer to regular price and not break your budget shopping there. Bottom line, go there to eat and grab a few items. It's totally worth it! read more

Compared to other Publix stores in the area, Publix Greenwise has a large selection of organic or higher-end food products. The prices can be a little higher for some items so it's a good idea to get those non-speciality items elsewhere. I love that there is a parking garage. It makes shopping in the rain considerably less wet. They also have a hot food bar that serves some fairly tasty foods. The bakery produces wonderful treats however I have struggled with the service there every time I've come to buy from them. I can give high marks to Jen in the event planning department as she helped me make my daughter's birthday cake a reality!
