Trader Joe's is popular across every state for a reason- they have a great selection of fresh produce, frozen foods and other groceries, along with some household and other items. All at really reasonable prices. This Tampa location is nice, and has everything a standard TJ's has. One of my favorite part is always the flower wall they have when you first walk in. Such a nice variety of colors and types and just makes you feel a little lighter looking through them. Something I'm not so much a fan of with this location is the parking lot. It is way, way too small for the amount of people that come through. You have to pretty much get lucky to find a spot, or drives in circles until someone leaves. I can't believe they still haven't tried to do something about this. If you are a fan of chocolate & fruity together, I also recommend trying their chocolate covered orange sticks- a very odd sweet treat but super addicting and satisfying.
I love this Trader Joe's location because the staff are always so helpful and kind. The parking here is horrendous and I avoid coming here unless it's a weekday morning. If you plan your visit right this can be an enjoyable place to come grocery shopping. I never had trouble finding anything and it's always a good time coming by!

It's hard to find anything wrong with Trader Joe's inside their store on W. Swann Ave. in Tampa. However outside does present a problem that most stores would envy. I am referring to the fact that there are usually more shoppers there than there are parking spaces. To be honest it's probably due to the fact that there is not land sufficient to accommodate a larger parking area. That said, most shoppers feel the visit there is worth the time it takes to find a spot. Having recently returned from a vacation in Italy, I knew I could stock up on my Italian favorite foods I could only find at Trader Joe's. Imagine my surprise while in the frozen pasta section, I spotted an item that had recently been featured in most Italian restaurants as a new blend of a few ingredients that render a sought after meal in Italy. I am referring to a special pasta dish called Cacio Pepper. There it was, already packaged and ready to warm and eat. The few ingredients added to spaghetti that make this a favorite in Italy are a creamy sauce, Pecorino Romano cheese and black pepper. Already combined and all you do is open the package and enjoy. At the risk of everyone rushing to empty the freezer section of this culinary treat, I will share two more of my favorites for those so inclined to tempt their taste buds. Gnocchi al Gorgonzola and Mandarin Orange Chicken also in the freezer section. Add to your visit at Trader Joe's, great customer service and prices and you will not mind the search for a parking spot.
I love that they are always stocked with fun holiday items! Today I went to grab a nice flower bouquet as a hostess gift. They had a beautiful arrangement with pine sprigs to give that holiday feel! It's always cozy and inviting at Trader Joe's. I'll keep going back for the unique items and quality stuff!

Visited at night during this trip. Parking lot much easier to maneuver but the selection of flowers at night is slim pickings. Immaculate, hospitable & friendly service. Scandinavian swimmers are available here which in my eyes is the best gummy product in the area.
This Trader Joe's in south Tampa stays busy and the parking lot stays packed, I went in the early afternoon on a weekday and there was still a line of cars to get into the parking lot. The wait wasn't long though, as everyone seemed to grab parking spots fairly quickly - there's a pretty steady flow of people coming and going so the parking surprisingly wasn't too difficult to grab at this time. As pretty much every other TJ's store, it's very organized and laid out in a similar manner. The employees were extremely nice (one of my favorite things about TJ's all together is the wonderful customer service and how great the employees attitudes are). I found all my favorite food items that I was looking for and I also found a few new items - I don't know if all the stores stock the same items in the same quantities but I felt like this store had some better "snack" items than the one I typically go to.
I have to give a shout out to this Trader Joe's - the staff and super friendly and personable. They have absolutely no issue helping you find items when asked. They have a great selection of items and flowers. The last two sets of hydrangeas I bought there lasted 2 weeks! Recently, I had an issue with a package of fruit I had purchased there and they happily gave me a refund. The store is clean and well stocked. Take a trip to this Trader Joe's - you won't regret it (just make sure to wear your patient pants, as sometimes it takes time to get a parking spot - but to me, it's well worth any wait)!
Love Trader Joe's still and all of their restaurant style varieties. I love the majority of the food I have tried too. The worse part here is the parking lot. This seems to be pretty common of Trader Joe's all over. My fave Trader Joe's in the area so far is UTC Sarasota for the space of the parking lot. Also, I always find what I am looking for at The St. Pete location. The original Sarasota location appears to have the widest aisles.
I love shopping at Trader Joe's for specialty items and for a lot of household items that are cheaper there than in the regular grocery stores. The parking is not so great most times of the day due to the size and staff isn't always helpful or friendly, but they do a good job of having items at a good price so I guess I deal with it. Some items that are cheaper and better to get at TJ's are: Rice and Pasta Jarred sauces, marinades. oils, and seasonings. Juices Nuts and seeds They have the BEST gluten free bread (and muffins). The fresh cut flowers selection can not be beat in variety and price (especially Peoniesin the Spring). I just wouldn't advise buying the orchids, I have bought many and I am a long time orchid lover, these do not last long and they rarely re-bloom and tend to be smaller in size aalso. Seasonal items obviously are the best as well as their frozen foods. Home goods and self care also is unmatched. They have a lot of "dupes" for example, the Italian dressing literally tastes exactly like Olive Garden Italian dressing, but it's organic.
Trader Joe's is one of my go-to places for healthy foods at great prices. Large selection of fresh produce, friendly staff, and the store is easy to navigate. Pros: Produce and fresh flowers are consistently excellent Cons: the parking lot is small Overall:5/5

I loveeeeee Trader Joe's. Of course this location can get absolutely insane with parking and general south Tampa chaos. However if you find the right times to go, you can avoid all that. The store itself is always clean and well maintained. The workers are so funny and kind. I always have the best convos when I'm there. South Tampa TJ has a loyal customer in me! read more
The only real challenge here is the parking lot, which feels too small by half. Once you manage to tuck your car into a space, everything that follows is smooth sailing. Inside, it's classic Trader Joe's from end to end. Frozen foods, dairy, fresh produce, snacks, bottled wine, all arranged in a layout that feels familiar and easy to navigate. The aisles are wide enough that even at a busy 4pm on a Monday, there was still plenty of room to steer a cart without bumping elbows or displays. A friendly gent quickly rang up my sale and I was on my way. I was only stopping in for snacks and a small item for a friend, which helped me avoid spending a squillion dollars on all the tempting things that Trader Joe's does so well. Parking always seems to be super hectic in this tiny parking lot. However, the staff here at the location are super helpful. Interior of the store is well-maintained. Everything is kept clean and well organized. The manager(s) and the staff are always such a pleasure to interact with. Definitely try to come during a less popular time to avoid spending significant amount of time waiting for a parking space. read more

Our favorite place for Turmeric Juice. Everytime we went we cleared that item, and its a weekly juice that we buy. This place have a few of rare fresh product such as "baby corn and baby zucchini" it is to die for... And of course their huge variety of flowers, specially orchids ar affordable price. read more

Five years since my last review and the parking sitch hasn't improved at all. They don't even have parking lot attendants anymore, so it's actually worse. Swann is a constant traffic jam in both directions because of this store. Because no one regulates the lot anymore the compact only spots are always taken by large SUV's and are too tight to squeeze into. Everyone stops at the entrance because they can't see open spaces on the other side -something the attendant used to help with. I witnessed a full blown heated argument over a "stolen" space once, which is more times than I would have if the lot was taken care of. Still one of my favorite grocers of all time but is more stressful getting into than NYC. This is Tampa, and one Trader Joe's location is not enough! read more

Great store, TERRIBLE parking. There is a one-way circular parking lot that is impossible to navigate, lots of blind spots, and people driving much faster than they should be in a small lot. Walking in, I felt that I was taking my life into my hands. I had a back up camera in my rental car and still had issues getting out of the lot without a collision. The store itself is bright, well-stocked, and has everything you expect at a Trader Joe's. This one carries locally designed reusable shopping bags. It's hands down my favorite grocery store chain due to all of the affordable and unique goodies you can buy here. read more
Discovered my first Trader Joe's store in Emeryville, California in 1991 and I've been a loyal shopper ever since. The Tampa location is small. The parking lot is challenging but the products inside are well worth it. My shopping trip this time included many items for a gourmet birthday basket for my son. I bought pastrami lox, lots of breads and frozen items as well as several different, exotic, berries and fruits. Good selection of beer and wine as well as dairy products fresh salmon, all types of cookies and crackers, and of course chocolates. The cashier Andrew was a pleasure because he discussed every Grateful Dead concert there ever was with my husband who was thrilled to be off on Friday! read more
Trader Joe's is one of my favorite grocery chains. It was my go to when we lived in NYC. This location has a terrible parking situation, awful stock, and I wish there was another location option. Service really depends on who you get. Some are over the top amazing. Some give you incorrect info so you go away. The store is always crowded so the ambiance is a little like crossing the speedway at the Daytona 500... Nerve-wracking. read more
I like Trader Joe's & their marketing concept. This location is always always busy and for good reason. They have the most reasonably priced veggies and fruit you're going to find unless you grow them yourself or have a local farm to shop at. The selection is sometimes seasonal but fanciful & unique when available. Parking is usually full but the helpful staff make up for the heavy traffic & get you in & out. This market originated in California of course and the ambiance gives health conscious, trendy + sustainability. I'm sure there's something you need or didn't know ya wanted from flax-mill seeds to rainbow cauliflower or oat milk & boba tea, so stop by & see what the hype has been about for so many years. read more

Where have you been all my life? I've read about it and read many wonderful reviews, but you don't really know how wonderful it is until you go there for the first time. This place is amazing, and full of all kinds of unique items. Every aisle had something of interest. So much so that I wish I had bought more items. I already regret not buying the chocolate croissants in the frozen food section. But I did find a lot of things that I'm already crazy about. I found some great spices, crackers, strawberry yogurt covered pretzels (which are teeny tiny by the way), Italian Bomba hot pepper sauce (calabrian peppers), and Everything but the Bagel nut duo with almond & cashews. I also got the orange chicken from the frozen food section. I haven't tried it yet but I hear it's totally worth the hype. The prices are good too. The employees are so friendly and eager to help you. I mean really nice people. They all seem happy to be there. You can tell that they love the products because they know everything about them. The minute you walk in you are treated to a colorful display of fresh flowers. It even makes you forget all about the the small parking lot. Which I have to say was not a big deal in my opinion. I found parking right away under a tree in the back of the lot. No complaints from me. The store itself is very organized and they give you lots of eye candy on the top shelves as you're strolling through the frozen food section. So many things caught my eye. I was lucky to walk out with a purchase under $50. I could have made a bigger dent for sure. In a way, I'm happy we don't have a Trader Joe's in Brandon because I'd be there every day. I will most definitely be returning for more yummy items. I didn't really get a chance to look at everything. I think I was more in a dazed & confused state of mind that day. My shopping companion was showing me the Trader Joe's Kibbeh which looked a lot like the Dominican kipe (quipe). Why didn't I get it? I saw many unique cheese combinations, and fresh fruits and veggies. I don't know why I didn't buy any of the cheese or the kibbeh. They have a huge wine and beverage section. I need to spend more time in this store, and I'm so looking forward to it. Just go when you have a lot of time to peruse the aisles. It's worth the drive. read more

We have made several trips to Joe's as they have many low to no salt items. Sadly they have gotten rid of many like the salsa, chips sometimes and beans such as black beans or garbanzo. I still like to get the no salt peanut butter and my husband like the chocolate spread like Nutella. It is always fun to check out the seasonal items. This trip we picked up the pumpkin cookies, pumpkin butter and spiced apple cider. Another think I like to stock up on is cards as they are 1$ each. read more
