It's a clean store, but I noticed some high prices for the basics. Like my fav apples I enjoy from Trader Joe's or sprouts for $4-5 a bag and Publix charges $8!! Like WTH! Also the Folgers coffee I get for mom which is over $10-clearly they gouging the elderly. The sparkling waters are a fortune here, I pay half at Sprouts. And sadly they support an administration that is dividing and destroying our country. So taking my business elsewhere. Sad because I shopped here for a long time. read more

The merchandising of the magazine section in the aisles.....the top row is much too high. People should not have to chase down an associate to climb on a ladder for a magazine that is too high to get to without jumping !!! This is not customer service Publix is known for! read more

Customer service counter today - returned packet of stale cookies which I purchased yesterday for a work party and I was told by work peeps the cookies were stale!! So I went back to Publix Village Center Carrollwood for a refund - was informed without receipt will be a store credit! New policy apparently! I have shopped there for 40 years and whenever something was off or stale always could return without receipt no problem. But not now. Not happy about it!! read more

I love Publix and they are my preferred grocer. I often stop at this store location if I need something on the way to work since it's on the way, otherwise this is not my preferred location given it's not convenient to home. I'm not used to the setup of this store, however it's always well organized and very clean which typically Publix is. Staff has always been friendly when I've visited. Especially when early in the morning and I'm stopping to pick up balloons and need them blown up, etc. read more

Why 5 stars? Because what could I possibly want more from a grocery store? --- --- --- After living in Seminole Heights for the better part of 7 years, I was very excited to graduate up to a bigger and better Publix. But the thing is, I honestly loved the Seminole Heights Publix for all of its flaws. It was super convenient to quickly run in and out of. I knew every aisle of the store like it was my house. I avoided much of a line about 90% of the time. But I'm not going to lie... a gigantic, and seemingly brand new Publix right outside of my new 'hood had me pretty excited. After one ritualistic Sunday evening grocery store trip, I'm hooked. It's everything that the small Seminole Heights Publix was, plus bigger, cleaner, and more variety. Great newly-remodeled grocery store. Staff is friendly. We shop here regularly and been happy with their Greenwise selections, although, I'm sure the variety they have varies. We came Friday for a gift card and they had a wonderful selection. We were in/out. Can't beat that. read more

If I could give this store no stars I would! Only chose it because I had to write this review. This is the worst store ever. Laura Michelle is absolutely trash. Horrible customer service and a bully. When I was checking out at the store she is extremely Stand-off ish to not only myself but to her bagger that she always has a negative thing to say. She is a bully to her coworkers and the bagger who has special needs that she had when I was there was just trying to help when she put him in tears. I don't know why Publix keeps people like her around when there was no pleasure in this store at all. I guess you can't have a good experience when the store manager Kristine Craig. Kristine is extremely rude and disrespectful to her customers, when I called to speak to her she stated after I asked if she had a moment to talk " Maybe, we are pretty busy" in a rude manner that totally set the tone. Once I tried to explain a situation she wouldn't even give me the time of day to explain why something happened with Laura Michelle that I only had a one sided story and she also said that I will believe my employees over my customers any day because they are stakeholders in the company. She also ended up hanging up on me because she was not at "liberty " to discuss this matter with me. Kristine also has the tendency to want to accuse her associates of doing something " racially disparaging " and want to force them into admitting to something they didn't do only to keep their job. This is extremely disturbing and all applicants should be aware of this store. So if you have any inkling of shopping at this store or applying to become dont! Stay far away! read more

On Publix can put out mediocre customer service with empty shelves at a premium price. It is almost as if the person in charge of quality died or retired. Save your money go to Whole Foods. At least you'll be able to buy what you want. I stood at the seafood counter for 5 minutes. The guy was away from the counter sorting product, he looked at me and kept doing what he was going. Unreal. They were out of bread, they were out of the type of salad dressing I get, they were out of plastic containers at the olive bar. The lettuce and bags of salads were all brown. It's like they don't care anymore and still have the nerve to charge a premium price. read more

Thank you to Brett for generously sharing YOUR local Publix grocery store with those of us who have been displaced while our neighborhood Publix on Anderson Road is being remodeled. This Publix is located in the busy shopping center at the intersection of Village Drive / Fletcher Avenue and Dale Mabry Highway, in the heart of Carrollwood, and in the cleverly named Carrollwood Village shopping center. The shopping center is known as the location of Bonefish Grill, the Melting Pot restaurant, Panera Bread, and Brett's car. This particular Publix was recently updated and remodeled, and the layout of this store will match the layout of our refurbished Publix, once all of the construction is finished (in about a year's time). Always one for a challenge, I moved my allergy prescriptions up to this Publix, and have started shopping here on a regular basis. My first reaction walking into the store was "Wow, this place is big!", and it took me a while to find things in this new store layout. Right now I'm still walking each and every aisle to find various items, but before long I'll be zooming through this store like a champ. In the meantime, I think that Brett should host a UYE at HIS neighborhood Publix with maybe a scavenger hunt so that we can have fun trying to locate obscure grocery items. This is the best publix I've ever been in. Newly remodeled and a really big location. The deli area is amazing by far the best one I've seen compared to other stores. They also have a nice area to sit and eat witch is really nice. Only thing I would say they need to fix is the fact they have a cash register in the deli but it doesn't work. So basically if you buy a sandwich or something from the deli and want to eat there you need to go up front wait in line to pay then go back to the deli area to eat. Lol kinda annoying but overall awesome location best publix around. read more

Publix did an amazing job on the redesign of this store. While I've seen some of the "New" Publix stores, this is the first I've seen in Tampa. The most visible changes are to the deli/bakery area. The new areas are greatly expanded and include a lovely olive bar and a hot food bar with ready to eat entree options. Beautiful facelift for this store and the same Publix service and value I've come to love. read more

This is one of my favorite Publix. It is large, clean, well stocked and friendly. They seldom run out of sale items and there I'd always someone available to carry out your groceries. The one area I really dislike is the rear right corner that houses the wine. It gets like a maze back there, only one way in and one way out. Other than that the store is laid out well and has an easy flow plan that makes it easy to locate all products. I think the recent construction has even made the parking better. What's a girl to do? I stop at whatever Publix is on my way or in my vicinity, but all Publix are not created equal. read more

This is the nicest publix in the Carrollwood area... much nicer than the one on Dale Mabry near Linebaugh (yuck). The employees are always very friendly and there's plenty of parking. Bakery section is always filled with delicious treats and any grocery store that has Boars head cold cuts is a ok in my book. Produce is always fresh and right at the beginning of the store which makes me pick healthier choices throughout my weekly grocery shop. Basically it's very well laid out and we will continue to use this publix as our regular! read more

This particular location is horrible dealing with a pandemic. Not cleaning carts properly (and wiping down handles-which I saw- with the same nasty rag is not cleaning). Not wiping down keypads. No antibacterial wipes at the entrance of the store to wipe down your own cart. Not to mention, the manager, Mark, doesn't seem to understand valid concerns of which he shrugs to when asked what is Publix doing to help minimize the spread of COVID-19? His response and attitude were unacceptable. And only wiping down high traffic areas before the store opens and after it closes doesn't address the issue. What happens in between, during hours of operation you have people touching a multitude of surfaces for hours? As a large chain, Publix, as well as every other company that has a high amount of people in close proximity, has a responsibility to main particular protocols during dire times. Shrugs are not welcomed. Attitudes can be left at home. And commitment to maintaining the utmost responsibility when its main commodity is food is mandatory. read more

Least helpful Customer Service Desk I have had the pleasure of experiencing. I asked to try and special order stuffing bread, Tara advised me I would need to order a whole case, fine but she was hesitant on even trying to help me order it. Thank you so much. No idea how to make stuffing without it. The burnt ends of bread you market as stuffing bread is not suitable. The Deli was busy but they had 10 boxes of hot and spicy breaded wings while myself and an older woman waited forever for non breaded wings. It was literally 40 minutes. I have to say I am less than thrilled with the service displayed at this location! read more

I love this store! But I don't like it when the cashiers chit chat while checking customers out. Meaning they are VISITING like long lost pals!! Most people cannot multi task while talking at the register. I say this as a former retail sales manager. It does not make for speedy, efficient check outs. Today we were getting a few needed supplies preparing for hurricane Ermma. We stopped at the deli to pick up linch and Tracey waited on us. We ordered 2 subs. The first sub was a meatball. We asked Tracey if she could try and get all the red sauce off the meatballs. Tracey knew exactly what we wanted and boy, did she deliver. That sub was made with all the love in the world. She was very attentive and fixed it to perfection. The other sub was an Ultimate. Again she papered that sub like it was going on display. Everything was perfect. When we got home we opened them up and began to eat. We could taste the the love used to make them! Thanks Tracey for making our sandwiches like a pro!! read more

My husband bought pre packaged lettuce at Publix on cnr of South village and Northdale Mabry. I have shopped here for 25 years. I noticed the lettuce was brown with a runny liquid inside the package. I returned the lettuce thinking I will just swop it out. All the lettuce of the same brand in the same packages were in various stages of similar deteriorated condition. I mentioned to the sales assistant at counter. She offered no apology. She took my old lettuce and threw it in the garbage can did a till switch with my new purchase. I suggested to her to please let the produce manager it at least the store manager know the condition of his product so he can rectify. She was non committal and did not give me eye contact. I walked out puzzled as to why this Publix has changed. So I'm putting this on yelp so maybe things can improve. I will continue to shop there but will be more careful with my purchases. read more

I just moved back to the area and I must say I'm very impressed with this store. I pass by two other grocery stores on my way to this one (one of them is another Publix) and the few extra minutes on my drive is definitely worth it! The store is remodeled and always clean. The huge parking lot is a plus too! The staff is a bonus as I've never encountered a rude employee there. Like everyone else, I'm a HUGE fan of the Publix delis and this one is top notch. The staff are always friendly and eager to help. They even have a wok (probably my favorite part!). The bakery is right in line with the deli. You can always find a fresh sweet something to treat yo' self. I would recommend this store to any and everyone in the area! read more

Love this publix! Everyone is no nice and helpful! I'm a mom of 2 and usually shop alone with the kids. I know they ask everyone, but they always ask to help me out to my car. And even help load my groceries on the conveyor belt. Even when I need help finding somethings they stop what they are doing and take me to the aisle.. Even though they could just tell me what aisle. Let's not forget free cookies for my son which helps keep him quiet for a bit! Always a great experience during what is usually stressful with 2 littles! Thanks publix! read more

I personally love the service at Publix. They are true BOGOs where they don't jack the price up and then offer the BOGO, like some other grocery stores do. "Publix, where shopping is a pleasure", has been their motto forever. And for the most part it is true. The bigger the store, the larger the assortment of products. The small stores have only the top selling brands. I love their BOGO's, when I can't find something and ask a sales person, they will take me to the item or find out if they carry the product. If they are out of the product they will check in back and if there is none in storage, they will suggest a rain check. Staffs are friendly and helpful and appear to be eager to be there. Also a large Greenwise selection, quality meats and bakery. I am a regular customer for Publix for years. I love the place and the staff. Great service great people quality products. This is more than an average grocery store. read more

Terrible. There is a tiny organic section, and some of the organic food (tomatoes) were rotting and shriveled. I told a worker about them but he just left them there. The juice aisle had no Greenwise options and no organic grape juice at all. To top off the useless shopping trip, the debit machine rejected my card. It only does this at Publix and nowhere else. The cashier told me others have complained, too, but does Publix fix their tech? No. Shop elsewhere. read more
