I was shocked because I've always dreamed this day would come. These are fantastic at the restaurant I just hope they're as good as they are. (This interaction was a total of 40 minutes) Quite disappointed in the service we got today in the pub sub making department. We wanted a sandwich that was discontinued (we didn't know that) the woman checking us out said they don't have marinara sauce and the only way we could get it is if we paid for meatballs and used the sauce in the pack. The assistant deli manager, Caleb was near so I went to him for help and this is when he let us know the chicken parm sandwich was discontinued, I suggested that they could get a jar from the shelf like they have in previous times, he agreed but explained that they won't do it again because it cost the store too much money. There was a very long wait for us. After speaking with the deli manager we were put at the back of the line and have been waiting yet again. The entire time there have been several people waiting to be helped and the deli manager is standing near talking to a lady, the entire time. After getting in line again the lady who helped us the second time had zero questions about the sandwich which was great and easy (she hadn't witnessed everything from before) I am very shocked that as the departments assistant manager is actively standing in his own department there are customers as upset as I am. Overall my average experience getting a Publix sandwich is so low I would rather buy the ingredients and make it myself, and I'll buy the ingredients for a fraction of the price at target. This Publix location hasn't been fully renovated like some others nearby, but it's my go-to store in the neighborhood and consistently delivers great service. While they don't always offer to help load the car, in my experience, the staff is always friendly. The store is consistently clean and well-stocked with fresh food. I really enjoy shopping this Publix, not just because it's my neighborhood Publix, but when chatting to the associates, they all seem sincerely happy to be there, at work. It's nice to have a smile and a happy hello! In particular the simple passing of an associate stocking or whatever, you get asked, "hello how are you?" Oh, and yes, I understand the employees are pretty much are required to do this, but at least it's said and in a way that's genuine. One of the most important reasons I shop Winthrop Publix is the selection of foods, customer relations and the very clean and well-kept store. One thing I can say about the Publix franchise that it has over a lot of other grocery stores: consistency. Consistency in store-to-store service, layout, and quality. The bakery is a big draw for me as the quality is better than most other chains, including Walmart. The deli selection includes Boar's Head, a personal favorite, and another nod to Publix commitment to quality. Beer and wine selection is extensive. If you keep your eyes peeled you will be able to take advantage of some blow-out specials here. Same goes for general grocery stock and meats. Two words: Market Beef. This ground beef is birth-child of quality cut meats getting to the final hour, making for delicious burger or meatball ground beef. Don't miss snatching this up when available, and the butcher is always happy to help with any questions. read more

After having explored and shopped at a couple of grocery locations in Brandon in search of THE prime store to shop at, this 301-Riverview location met nearly all of my needs and more. I just moved here from South Florida where I was spoiled with authentic farmers' markets that sold organic food and wasn't overpriced. Still haven't found a farmer's market yet. This location, so far, is the best one that carried most of the products I frequently purchase and more. Especially fresh grass fed meat, a lot of Greenwise products, and certain food spreads. Their parking lot is much larger and quieter than the one on Causeway-Lumsden by Lowe's which felt much better and also easier to navigate out of the lot and onto 301 either way you want to go. read more

I love the location of this Publix because I work across the street! I remember when it first opened, our workplace was very pleased. Great lunch, can pick up groceries on the way home and a large parking lot that isn't overly crowded. While there are many other businesses in the same strip mall, there are plenty of spots for this Publix. The deli line can pose quite a long wait if you go during lunchtime on weekdays or after church lets out on Sundays. Most recently, I waited about 15 minutes at noon on a Sunday to get to the sandwich counter (and they accommodated my sandwich-turned-salad request with ease!). In case you didn't know, you can turn any sandwich into a salad that is weighed on the scales. They normally have a very fresh produce section and fully stocked shelves. Employees are very friendly and they have many lanes opened during busy times. Park close to the McDonald's when the lot is busy. It's an easy exit from the lot! read more

Well just saw the Ramen offerings next to the sushi. I had to try it. The first one was a home run. The chef was very friendly and warm. The food pork ramen was very flavorful, hot and satisfying. I can't wait to try the other 7 flavors. Your choice of chicken or pork. They also make rice bowls, chicken and pork. I will be back. This is a great new offering from Publix. This location is very on brand for Publix. Well lit, organized, friendly staff, always clean. The produce here is top notch, and always looks fresh and organized. I'm always able to find what I need quickly. I love the fried chicken here. It is some of the best chicken I've had anywhere. Unfortunately, this location is very popular for lunch, making it difficult to stick around in the line. Additionally, similar to other Publix deli counters, the sandwich line moves slowly. They have a table of discounted items by the pharmacy where I have scored some great items. The discount wine is hard to turn down. There are other treats, snacks, and random items that you never knew you needed until you saw that little red discount sticker. The best thing about this location is the staff. I always feel welcomed and greeted with a smile. Cheery chit chat is the norm at the check out, making shopping a Publix truly a pleasure. read more

As always you can't go wrong with publix. I really like hat fact that they keep the stores in pristine condition most of the times. The store layout makes it very easy to navigate through. When You walk in there is the bakery and deli to the right side. The produce section is on the back right side of store. Followed by the fish and meat sections. The pharmacy its located on the left side of the store. The cashiers are always smiling and very attentive to the clients needs. Also the associates in other departments are always willing to help. Also you can find a lot of the stuff you wont be able to find in other stores here. Spices, specialty fruits, etc. I did notice that certain items geared towards the latino market are hard to find here. For those items just go to a local walmart or local latino market. read more

It's great to have a new Publix finally within a few blocks of my home. It used to be quite a hassle driving out to Publix and over the years they have came closer and closer to my home. This Publix is just what you'd expect - clean and full of quality products. What I really like about Publix coming closer to my home though is the things that it brings with it. Wal-Mart tends to kill businesses in the area, whereas Publix almost always brings new businesses. This Publix has only been around for a short time and it has already spawned a nail salon, Chinese take-out restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant with a coming soon sign. This is my favorite Publix, I just wish it wasn't so expensive. It's well organized, the employees are friendly and helpful, and the store is always clean. Produce is usually fresh. The seafood section is good, but really expensive. Same for the meat department. The "ethnic" isle is limited. I wish there were more asian items, but that's what MD is for. I love Publix!!! This is by far the best supermarket we have in the Tampa Bay Area. The service is great! They do a really nice job training their employees to provide good service to their customers. Every time I ask for help, even if they don't know what I'm looking for, they ask their peers and use their resources. Publix is always clean and everyone is friendly. In the bakery they have free cookies for children. Their subs are good too! And let's not forget about the bakery, where they have ready to pick up cakes as well as made to order. I don't live anywhere near this Publix location but Kama I was impressed with the store I was in the area and needed some stuff and decided to pull in and get what was on my list. Gotta admit it was a nice clean store and they have a wide variety of everything and they weren't out of anything that was on sale which is hard to say for some of the smaller Publix, this is not a small Publix. Another thing I really appreciate it was checked out seem to go very quickly and I didn't have to wait for 3 or 4 people in front of me. star seems to be managed well and run well as patrons come and go at a faster pace so that make a better profit I guess, good for them. In my opinion, one of the best Publix's in the Tampa Bay area. I work across the street and frequently pop in on my way to work or on my lunch break. This location is brand new and has all of the amenities of a newer Publix. There are two things that I really like about this Publix: 1) No lines, EVER! I am always in and out of there so quickly. Typically, at other Publix locations, I run across long deli lines which make it not worth getting a sandwich. Here, there is never a line. 2) The staff. Everyone at this location is so friendly. I was here one day shopping for a calling card and looking confused. I had two employees come up and help me figure out what I needed. read more

I have never had a bad experience to date with this Publix. The store is always best, organized, and clean. The staff is always so incredibly helpful and cheery whenever I come in. I love that food services available such as sushi, hot bar, and deli to name a few. The hot bar has awesome rotisserie chickens in all different flavors and the chicken tenders are the best I've had of any "fast food" and they aren't greasy at all. The sandwiches and wraps are really good too and they make combos available for a pretty decent price compared to subway or firehouse. The best deals are the buy one get one free deals and the fact that they have an app where you can digitally clip manufactures coupons and apply them at checkout! Last but not least, the Simple Apron recipes are to die for!! They usually have one of their employees at the apron station between 4-6 cooking live a new recipe and having samples to try. Picking up a recipe card from the station and grabbing everything you need right in the store makes making dinner so easy! I don't know if I could live without publix! read more

This Publix appears to be brand new. It was really beautiful, outside and inside. This is one of the top Publix stores I have been to in quite some time. This was my first of two Publix trips I took today. I went here because I was craving a sub for lunch. PUBLIX HAS THE BEST SUBS EVER. If more people knew this, they would put Subway and all the other sub establishments out of business in no time. They might not have the bread selection that Subway has, but the quality and size of their subs, WOW! So I was at a training session outside my normal work office, and I wanted a filling lunch. I knew my best bet would be Publix. I mapped the nearest one, and ended up here. From the outside, I could tell this place was beautiful and new. Inside was had equal aesthetics. When I got inside it was about 11:40 AM and there was a pretty good size line of people waiting for subs. However, it only took about 10 minutes of waiting for sub. There was good customer service. I should note that I have seen friendlier employees at the deli, but I think I am just lucky that the Publix closest to my apartment has excellent deli employees. The whole store was so clean, including the deli. Sabrina was the name of the girl working the sub station. She was quiet, but still very nice. She could have smiled more and asked how I was doing. Maybe she could have made a little small talk like the deli employees at the Publix by my apartment, but overall she did nothing wrong. But back to the food. Publix does subs right! SOOOO MUCH MEAT!!! The stuff the subs full of any and all ingredients. I am amazed by how much they pack inside. A full sub can run for a little more than 8 dollars, but it is well worth it. I always get the chicken tender sub, full sized, on white bread. IT IS AMAZING!!!! I have them put ranch and buffalo sauce on it. The best part, you can get anything from the deli on your sub. I asked for the Boars Head Spicy Gouda! SO GOOD!!! Then I added light onions (not low calorie, just not too many), tomato, jalapenos, and pickles. At the check out counter, the employees name was Marilyn. She greeted me with a huge smile and asked how I was doing. She was so friendly and had top notch customer service. If the deli had customer service as good as the check out, then this would have totally been a 5 star experience. If you have not tried Publix subs, you must. And when you do, you cannot go wrong with the chicken tender sub. As I have already said, it is so good. Please try Publix subs soon, I promise you will never eat at Subway again! read more

Very pleased! This Publix by far and away has to be the best one I've been to! Every time I go in the store is immaculate! The floors are always shining like day one. A good way to judge a supermarket is by the produce department, and this one is flawless! There seems to never been an item out of place every last Apple and orange is sitting neatly on display. Every person you see working seems to have a smile on there face. And the cashiers, who are the last people you deal with and give you your last impression of the store before you walk out with, are always courteous and I find myself having a conversation with one of them every time. read more

Seems weird to write a review for a supermarket, but eh, I'm bored. :) This Publix won't stand out from any other. But it's close and convenient. Prices are a bit higher than Walmart & Target, but you don't have to deal with the Walmart/Target shoppers... big plus! Look for a coupon in the Sunday paper. Every week they usually have a good one, like $2 credit for the deli or $5 off $50 or more. Deli staff is always friendly. Store is kept clean... no real downsides. I just wish we could get a Trader Joes here in the area... I'd like to have more natural options. read more

Pub subs are legendary, but notoriously take forever for the employees to make. (Well worth it). But not this one, they're sooo fast and still so good. Today we had Michelle and she was so friendly and chatty and I remember saying to my boyfriend if I see a manager I'm going to stop and tell them how great she was! Oh Publix, I love you! Back in Boston we had a chain that I liked a bit better (Roche Bros), but in Florida there's no better market than Publix. This particular 'branch' is a convenient store to hit on the way home after getting off the Crosstown at 301and heading south. The staff here are great, they actually seem like they're happy to be at work, rare nowadays. The selection of items is pretty good, I hardly ever leave without everything I came for. Shopping is truly a pleasure not only is publix amazing but this particular one is the bomb! It's close to our home and they really cater to their customers. I like all the healthy varieties I find here. They started out with 1 type of halo top ice cream and I asked for more .... and guess what!!? They now have a plethora of halo top ice cream! I love the gluten free bread section in the freezer, the pizza crusts and the deals they always have! It makes it easy to try new things and expand your healthy menu and none healthy menu too the staff is always nice and helpful, I went looking for healthy crust pizza and one of the staff walked me to all 3-5 places where they have pizza crust options! This review is based on the DELI. I like going to this Publix for groceries. However, ordering from the deli is always a hassle. Long lines. Now on numerous occasions I have ordered ahead with "online easy ordering" the estimated time is given, usually 30 mins when my subs will be ready. Now when arriving to pick up the subs they are never ready. This has happened to me 5 times!!! One time they just didn't make it because they ran out of 5 grain bread. Very unprofessional! It takes over an hour for an online order to be fulfilled. Sometimes my order isn't even accurate. I won't be ordering from the deli any longer. read more

Everyone usually will have a smile, and a happy hello when they see you and yes I know the employees probably are required to do this, but at least it's said and in a way that doesn't come across as fake. One of the most important reasons I shop Publix is the selection of foods and the very clean and well kept store. All of this keep me shopping at Publix and in particular this location. If I could just point out one improvement, that would be the meat selection. I would like to see the chicken in particular, to be trimmed better.
