Dear Publix, we need to talk…read more I don't usually write reviews, but after my most recent experience with your "iconic" chicken tender sub, I am writing this with shaking hands, tears in my eyes, and $11.49 I'll never get back. I need corporate. I need answers. I need reparations. Let me start by saying this: I have tried--TRIED--to understand the cult-like obsession with this sub. People act like it's the second coming of Christ in a hoagie roll. I've seen people wear merch for this thing. MERCH. I saw a grown man get emotional describing it once. So I said, "Fine. I'll try it again. Maybe I just had a bad one before." Big mistake. Huge. I waited one full hour. An entire episode of Dateline. Standing there watching the sandwich staff move like they were performing an interpretive dance about sloths on sedatives. They had NO sense of urgency. None. It was like they were building a sub from memory in a dream. Finally, my name is called. I walk up thinking I'm about to experience greatness. Instead, I'm handed a lukewarm carb coffin stuffed with dry, joyless chicken tenders and lettuce that looked like it had been emotionally neglected. I got sauce. I GOT SAUCE. It was still so dry I almost pulled a muscle trying to swallow it. You know what it tasted like? Sadness. Like someone whispered "flavor" near it once in 2014 and that was the last time it felt alive. And don't get me started on the "house-made" sauce--it tastes like they snuck into aisle 3, stole some store-brand dressing, added a dash of audacity, and called it a day. Every time I try to give this sub another chance, it lets me down harder than my ex who "forgot" my birthday. The bread? Stale. The chicken? Soulless. The price? Delusional. I paid double digits for a sandwich that fell apart faster than my last relationship. Everything spilled out the sides like it was trying to escape its own fate. I had to eat it hunched over like a raccoon by a storm drain. I am humiliated. Publix, I am BEGGING you--take this sandwich off life support. It's time. We need to let it go. 0/10. Will not be returning. And if I see another "I love Publix subs" shirt in the wild, I'm calling the authorities.

Helpful employees, clean store, relaxed and unhectic,, and plenty of gluten free options. Saw some things here that other Publix don't have and vice versa. The frozen mussels looked like a good deal but didn't want to chance it. Might try it next time.

This Publix is very nice inside and very clean but it is rather small then an average store. Very nice store with the same concept as other stores just not as many aisle or selection but great for those living in the downtown Tampa Bay area. This was my first visit and the service is here just like all other Publix. When I visit Tampa again I will stop by this store , it is very unique and has apartments above the store.

They also had rotisserie chicken for $5, tuna tataki for $5, and basic California, tuna, & salmon with rice sushi rolls were $5. I decided to get a 9.99 bistro meal for my husband, picked out the pepper steak, potato salad(his fave of the the three), and mac and cheese. I picked up a tuna tataki($5 special), shrimp cocktail / $6, and a half a pound of kale, apple, cranberry, and walnut salad(my fave), I was impressed with my lunch that was tasty and pretty healthy. Everyone working was very nice. I also bought a rotisserie chicken($5 today) for dinner. This was very good and much better than Publix and Costco chicken. Happy to also have another green tea to try. It was a worthwhile visit. Next week the bistro meals will start being $7 which is entree, and two sides and an upcharge for salmon. This a boutique size supermarket similar to Whole Foods, but a bit smaller. It's very organized & has many healthy and organic options. They have a bakery, fish, meat section, as well as deli, food, & sushi section and produce to name a few. Prices can be similar or a bit higher than Publix, & maybe comparable to Whole Foods.

From plants and flowers, to fresh produce to some high quality meats and seafood, gifts, pantry staples, all of it. I miss the store in Valrico so much, but I find a way to stop in here when I am in the area.

Food samples are provided throughout the store on a weekly basis (for sure on the weekends). I prefer this location over the Sunlake store because I never feel rushed or stressed here.
