I had roadside and lifetime warranty, balancing and rotation, and they wouldn't do any of it even though I had an appointment because I had a pin nail in one tire unbelievable that's what the road hazard is for the pin nail Leaving Walmart after getting a new tire put on and having to go to another tire store to get the pin nail removed from my tire unbelievable after I talk to the service manager I'm still leaving the store and going to another store to get the pin nail removed. I was also overcharged. I wanted the basic oil change and I was charged for a standard oil change. Yet they failed to top off my fluids. I had to pull back up to the service bay to have my fluids filled up. I had an appointment and I've been here 3 1/2 hours run the other way. Review for the mechanics; They did a phenomenal job! It didn't even take as long as we were winging it. A bit confusing how things are done now. It used to be inside first then out. If you are a parachute client? Make sure not to block the drive in area for appointments. I did both front tires, n added oil change also. While i waited they kept me on the loop through text and i managed to find some compact light travel fishing gear. So happy to find the GX2 in break down. Came with a travel bag so hail Fish Jesus! I went to pick up a 24" bicycle and quickly learned it was too big to fit in my sedan. Tragic! Justin was personable and gave me some suggestions on how to get my bike home. He assured me he'd hold the bike until I returned with a more accommodating vehicle. When I returned an hour later he wasted no time getting me situated. On January 30th ,this year I went to Walmart in Valrico , Florida.when I was standing at the grocery area,a heavy weight pushed me from my back,and knocked me down on the floor. An older Employee was pushing a Cart that was taller than him,hit my back,and pushed me over. There are a great Handful of WM associates that I have met;however, they have awful leaders such as Paula, Frontend team lead. I am astonished when I heard her talking back to customers, belittling the elders. One guy was waiting for someone to bring a replacement to the register, when he asked her about it, she said she never called for assistance and was so condescending. There are 3 Super Walmarts equidistant from where I live. Of the 3, this is probably the best. Upon arriving the first challenge is finding a parking space. I have a handicap hang card, but there never seems to be a vacant handicap spot, so I end up parking a fair distance from the entrance. This store was closed for some time last year while they repaired the roof which was said to be leaking. When it reopened, the store seemed to be well stocked and organized, but as others have noted you have to navigate around the aisles that are blocked or partially blocked from employees restocking shelves. The unpackaged or Walmart branded produce and meat/poultry items are something I stay away from, as Consumer Reports have rated them low, and there have been some stories that if true would turn your stomach. The hygiene products are actually conveniently located near the entrance, and the shelves are usually well stocked and the prices are right. If you are looking for electronics or sports or home items, it will take a bit of walking to the back part of the store. Employees are generally friendly, but at times are hard to find if you have a question. The clothes sections are often in disarray, with the size you are not looking for not in the correct section on the racks or in the bins. The checkout lines can be very long, and they seem to be moving more and more to self checkout lines. They are supposed to open more registers if the lines get too long, but they are a bit slow to do that, and I have waited 15 minutes in a checkout line on occasion. All in all I find the store a hassle, so I limit my trips to maybe once a quarter, and stock up on the things I need with plenty of backup. As the parking lot and store is usually so crowded, it apparently appeals to lots of people. I have been to small towns where it was hard to find what you needed anywhere but the Walmart in town. Luckily Brandon has plenty of independent stores as well as large department stores and several malls. Personally, I like to support the independent and smaller chains, and will pay a few extra dollars to avoid the hassle of Super Stores. read more

Without any doubt, this is THE WORST Walmart I have ever been in. The store is FILTHY. I made 3 attempts to ask for assistance, the store employees would walk right past me and look straight ahead as though I wasn't trying to get their attention. Pharm tech said I needed to give her my "new" card, I told her it's my only card. I'd go to Target twice over if one was closer and I shop at Publix or Farmers Markets for grocery, but sometimes you just have to pick up random items that are easiest done on a Walmart trip. This one is not as dirty as others in the area or as out of stock as much. It's a happy day at a Walmart when I actually find all of what I am looking for on the shelf and not just an empty hole - this one is 50/50 on this. As far as Wal-marts go, this is the cleanest and more organized in the area. I've stopped going to the Wal-mart on causeway, due to lack of registers open and there's always pallets of stuff everywhere. Always stocking but are somehow always out of stuff. The Wal-mart in Mango is even worse, do even go in there. Trust me. Valrico Wal-mart is your best bet. Clean, organized and always have plenty of registers open. read more

Ran my paycheck thru the machine and instead of giving me my money right away the cashier was instructed by manager carrie (who ALWAYS makes shopping here unpleasant and a hassel) to not pay me. After they had already accept and ran my check thru the machine, can't leave bc the check is now invalid. Waited an additional 20 mins while a customer was checked out who was in line after me to receive my money. Used this Walmart again yesterday and, if anything, the store has gone downhill since my last review. Management needs some serious review. Some shelves are half empty. Products that were readily available a few years ago and are still being produced are not available now. The management decided to shut down all of the self check out stations for some maintenance or revamping leaving all the customers to use about 6 check out lines. Not unusual for 10-15 people in each line. Cashiers were left to deal with people who were not happy with the long waits...not their fault for management who can't or won't use common sense in scheduling maintenance events. I went to the pet department on a Sunday afternoon, to purchase fish for my aquarium. After waiting for an associate to assist me for 15 minutes, I found an associate in the dairy dept., whom graciously looked for someone to help me, he said they should be right there. After waiting another 15 minutes, I called the store from the pet dept., told them I was in the store waiting for an associate that apparently didn't know where their dept. was. They paged someone to the dept. Still...nothing! By this time most would have left the store, but me, being my stubborn self, was proving a point. After another 15 minutes, total of 45 minutes now, I called the store again. She said she would page someone, again. I never heard that page, hmmm. The same man from the dairy dept., came out of the back room, amazed that no one had helped me yet, off the clock mind you, found an associate to help me! Finally, I have my fish. I go to the service desk to complain, the lady says..."I am so sorry you had a bad experience. Maybe next visit will be better." REALLY!!!! I am returning there today to return, so far, 3 of the 11 fish I bought yesterday. DEAD! Their tanks are to hot! Lets see what kind of service I get today. I live within 2 blocks of the Causeway store, but because of poor service and crappy attitudes of associates there, I decided to try this store. Never again. "'Twas the night before Christmas Eve" My husband and I went to this store last night at approximately 10:15 pm. There were barely any shopping carts in the store-a bad sign. We selected our small amount of items and headed to the cashier. There were perhaps 6 cashiers open with lines down the the aisles.. We selected our line which at the time had about 6 customers in line and waited. As we were 2 customers away from finally making our purchase, I noticed the cashier behind ours turned off her light then the cashier down the same checkout aisle and then it happened...Our cashier turned off her light and said " this is my last customer!" What? The line is now about 12 deep, no warning., no closing off the aisle no opening another line, no assistance to move us to another line . The only place to go was to completely back out and start over with one of the remaining 3 cashiers. I went to speak to a manager, Tony Montgomery, about the situation and he simply said that his cashiers ended their shift. All in the same vicinity at once? With three left, no warning to the customers standing in line, no planning for 3 to close at once? "That's right he said." No care whatsoever. I asked for his manager and his response wasn't clear if his or any other manager was in the store or not. "You mean to tell me you're the only manager here?" I asked for his managers name, Tony Lawrence. He acted as nothing should be upsetting to his customers. As you can imagine we and other customers left their carts and walked away. Walmart, You did not get my hard earned money but you did rob me of my time, aggravated me during one of the best holidays and gave me further disgust for Walmart. Walmart typically gets a bad rap for being overcrowded, having long lines, and rude employees. This Walmart in Brandon/Valrico fortunately does not give me said problems. For one, I do go to this Walmart often and it is never really crowded. Sure there could be a lot of people there, but never to the point where I'm rubbing shoulders with people as I walk. It's a nice atmosphere and the employees there are always helpful. Never really deal with really long lines there, as the most I've ever really had to wait is about 5 minutes. Also, they provide a self-checkout so you can avoid those lines. The only negatives I have with it is that sometimes it may be difficult to find parking (which is kind of strange since the store is never really crowded). Overall, for a supercenter it's a pretty pleasant shopping experience. read more
