Torrance Food Crawl #376 This Wingstop location has some tables inside if you'd like to eat in, or, of course, you could order takeout. The food quality here is similar to other Wingstop locations. The wings (boneless or with bones) are excellent. This time I had the 8-piece meal with half of the boneless chicken having a Cajun flavor and the other half Hawaiian flavor. The Cajun was dry and spicy - good. The Hawaiian was somewhat on the bland/dull side. The Honey Mustard dipping sauce helped to add some more flavor. The fries came in a large portion and with some added ketchup were excellent. The freestyle Coca-Cola machine was missing some choices I was looking for (e.g., all the lemonades/fruit flavors were grayed out) but the more common coke choices were available. This afternoon it was slightly cloudy and cool outside. Inside the restaurant, the air conditioning was set to a much too cold temperature; I ate inside and finished my meal faster than usual so I could back to the warmth of my car. read more

Got to the door and the guy working basically shrugged and gave us a too bad so sad kind of response. The staff/cashier (short woman with black hair) was not the friendliest when asked if our order's in any of those bags since we've been waiting for a while and the guy who ordered over the counter a few minutes after us already got his food. She even said "they probably ordered online or thru phone" in a tone that's more like lecturing us instead of being apologetic for the wait time that was not never explained to us beforehand. This is for both the virtual "Thighstop" and this Wingstop location. The website makes it seem like you can order directly through them, but once you get through your order, the final page has the payment options unavailable, with 2 notes: 1. You cannot pay in person 2. You cannot pay online Instead, you need to use the doordash site, which I really don't understand for people who want to just do pickup. It's corporate glut at its worse and, while I never used doordash in the first place, has only made me feel like it's less worthwhile as a company than I previously thought. The location also wrote down my name when I noted had changed the pickup name for someone else. Why would this be an option if it's not going to be used? While we did use the doordash site, we noticed the voodoo fries were unavailable. We have a vegetarian eating too. Instead, they just got regular fries with a side of disappointment. I thought that was the end of things. I then got a phone call asking to confirm the order. I did, but also asked the woman to pass my complaints to management. I literally started out by saying, "We love Wingstop, but not this doordash stuff." No answer. For 3 minutes after mentioning the above website issue. I could still hear everything going on in the restaurant, but she'd simply chosen to walk away. This feedback LITERALLY could have been kept between me and the business, as I'm sure we'd both prefer. The employee decided that, rather than listen and pass the news up (which I've done in sales positions myself), she'd ignore a customer. And now we're here and they've lost at least 2 households so far. We'll try other locations later. The thighs were small but juicey, and I'd recommend them if it wasn't for this experience. They were very very rude to me today. I simply filled my cup with water at the coke machine and was chastised and spoken to by a short woman in the front. There was no visible sign(s) other than "No refills" posted on the coke machine. She made the statement in a very condescending tone as if I was a child doing something wrong. Every year when it's my birthday, I get a fair share of various birthday offerings in emails and snail mail. Wingstop is one of the places that has a birthday freebie. I've never tried Wingstop ever and with their free offering of large fries as a birthday offering, I thought why not? The large fries are normally $3.69 at Wingstop or they come with Wingstop's various combos. What are fries without wings or perhaps the more important question is what is a trip to Wingstop without trying wings? I chose to get ten wings, 2 flavors for $7.99. I chose to get the Garlic parmesan and Hawaiian flavored wings. For the Garlic parmesan I got them boneless while the Hawaiian I chose to get as traditional wings. The Garlic parmesan was a bit too salty for me. They reminded me a lot of buffalo wings and I couldn't really get out of it the garlic or the parmesan taste. The Hawaiian wings were to me the better of the two. It had a nice sweet flavor and not salty at all. These were also fairly big in size. I would get this again. The fries they give is plentiful! I like that they are hand cut fries that are freshly made. The only thing is they put a lot of salt and these were rather salty too. Overall Wingstop was ok for a first visit. Next time if i get fries, I'm going to request that they don't put salt and similarly I'll try to choose wings more on the sweet side versus the salty. read more

The email receipt and restaurant postings said to wait in the car until the designated pickup time, stay 6 feet apart, etc. Great. Walked in with my mask to find a worker with his mask pulled down under his chin, talking to co-workers and also working without gloves in the kitchen area. I watched as he worked for several minutes like that. When I brought it up with the cashier, he nervously laughed, apologized and asked me to hold on a minute. But he didn't ask his co-worker to put on his mask or gloves...he just rearranged his cash register. So right then and there I asked that he cancel my order.
