Normal vs uncooked. Those were in the same box.

I visited Goobne Chicken in Torrance today. Around 5:30 PM, I noticed a female staff member eating outside the store. When I asked her if they were on a lunch break because I wanted to place an order, she reluctantly took my order, seeming annoyed. The menu board displayed "Chicken Wings Small (S)," so I asked her how many wings were included. She pointed to the other menu board standing next to cashier and replied sharply, "Doesn't it say four pieces?" Her attitude was quite unexpected and left me wondering if she was dealing with personal issues, as there was no sign of friendliness or kindness in her demeanor. Anyway, I ordered 4 pieces of Soy Garlic and 4 pieces of Sweet Spicy wings and paid for my wings. After receiving the buzzer, I waited for over 30 minutes, but it never buzzed. I approached the same female staff member again and found out she was the only one working in the entire store. Every time new customers came to place an order, it delayed the preparation of my food. When I asked how much longer it would take, she said it would be ready soon and disappeared into the kitchen. Shortly after, she brought out my order with a displeased expression and told me that fresh chicken takes a long time to cook. I couldn't help but think how much better it would have been if she had informed me about this from the start. This was my first time visiting Goobne Chicken, so I asked her if she was responsible for both taking orders and cooking the food. She replied, "Do you see anyone else here besides me?" she said in an unpleasant tone. Feeling uncomfortable, I picked up my food and left for home, which was about 15 minutes away. When I tried the wings, I noticed that the second piece seemed larger than the others. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the meat inside was undercooked. After looking up other reviews, I found that the owner had mentioned something about "pinking" being a natural phenomenon and safe to eat. However, me, as someone who works in food & safety field, I am confident that this chicken was not properly cooked. Ratings: Taste: 4/5 Customer Service: 1/5 Preparation Time: 1/5 Undercooked Chicken: 1/5 I've attached photos for reference. If you're curious, feel free to visit and experience it yourself. Thank you.

Finally got to try this place out. Located in the Hannam Chain food court. They seem to roast it fresh so it takes a while to make. Just FYI, order this first before you order from other places. Also, this is korean style ROASTED chicken, not fried. It's good, but don't expect crunchy like fried chicken is. I asked the worker if any of the flavors were spicy. He said the only one thats spicy is the volcano. So of course I got that one! Volcano wings (4): First bite was super tasty. You could taste the sweetness. Heat doesn't seem too bad. BUT... it creeps up on you. I think after my 3rd wing my mouth was on fire. It was a good fire though. Nice n steady, and continued to have good flavor. The chicken was moist and juicy and each wing was a decent size. Overall a good roasted chicken place. I don't know if I'd go out of my way to come here, but I definitely will try some other flavors when I'm in the food court again.

This is my first time dining here. And, wow. So glad I did. From the friendly cashier to cleanliness and the quality and seasoning of the food. I'm definitely coming. The Galbi Rice Bowl is just perfect. Not spicy and a pleasure to eat. Parking outside is plentiful and convenient. It's located just inside, to the left before entering the market. Give it a try. You'll thank me.

I visited today (Friday) around 6 PM to place a to-go order and waited about 15-20 minutes for my food. There were plenty of available seats for dine-in customers, given the nearby businesses. Regarding the wings, I found them to be a good alternative to traditional fried chicken, though they didn't quite justify the price. I ordered the classic original flavor, which wasn't particularly special. My mom and I both preferred the soy garlic wings, which had a better flavor. Since the wings are oven-roasted, they weren't as crispy as deep-fried ones, but you should have already known that beforehand right? The order also included a creamy, spicy sauce and a side of pickled radishes to balance out the flavors. Overall, the wings were good, but I feel like I could replicate these at home for a fraction of the cost. For $34 for a large order of 16 wings, I'd rather spend my money on classic KFC to avoid the hassle of setting and cleaning up my deep fryer.

Located at the end of the food court at Hannam Food Chain Market. My family loves wings so got 3 different kinds. Greeted right away by friendly staff, patiently answered all my questions. My family gave it a 5/5! They said it's better than the 'other' chicken wing places. Next time I'll get myself a non meat dish. Which I did see. Looking forward to the next visit.

Lots of chicken on these wings. You're gonna get messy but they give you wet and dry napkins to clean up. #makesmewander

First of all, I am so excited because I found this place thanks to one of my favorite KDramas, Business Proposal. But I am super excited because it has all the same flavors - and some new ones - and is a healthier option than my favorite Korean fried chicken! I tried Galbi flavor first and plan to work my way around the menu. I love the radishes that come with the dish as a refreshing complementary flavor. I can't wait to go with friends or my kids so we can get combinations of flavors. You're gonna get messy when you dive in to the good size wings - and it's so worth it! #kdrama #goobne #chicken

I was surprised to find this at the food court in the Korean market. I love chicken wings and if they're oven roasted it's even better!! Food does take a little longer to come out but it is so worth the wait. Flavor is on point, I feel guilt free eating the wings, and the sauces and sides go perfectly with the chicken. Shoutout to Nello for helping me out. 10/10 recommend!

Winner winner chicken dinner! I love chicken wings and excited to finally get to try Goobne. I went during open day but they were so popular that they ran out of wings quickly and only had boneless left. A week later though; I was back and they had everything on the menu and quicker turn around too! (Chicken can now be pre-ordered via phone or if you order there; they state the turn around is 10-15 minutes.) Here at Goobne; they have a main menu, combos and sides. Combos only come in large portions and in wings. If you order from the main menu (non-combos); you can get medium or large portions and choice of boneless or wings. All of their chicken is oven roasted. As for the sides; they currently offer potato sidewinder, pickled radishes and 3 dips (gabli, volcano and spicy mayo). I ordered the Combo#8. For $28.99; it comes with half Original and half Galbi chicken. The Combo came with 16 pieces (8 of each flavor). The Galbi was definitely my favorite. It was so flavorful and loved how it was smothered with their special sauce that was flavored with 10 different Korean domestic fruits and vegetables. I also ordered a side of their potato sidewinder. It came with a spicy mayo dipping sauce. The potato sidewinder was ok but do wish it was more crispy. I thought for $5.99 it was slightly on the pricey side. I will probably skip on this next time. It's the chicken that is the main star at this place. I really enjoyed the chicken here and definitely want to come back and try more of the other flavors. This is a nice addition to the Hannam Chain Del Amp market!

I'd say this is "OK" I do LOVE Korean Chicken and have gone to some amazing places with the best fried chicken where the meat was marinated and the outer fried chicken batter/crust was tasty and crisp with the right seasoning or sauce. We tried the Galbi and the Soy, I think and should have gone for maybe a dry fried chicken style. It was uninspiring, maybe out fault for not ordering the right chicken when we picked the combo, which I think was fairly expensive, I believe around $30 for 16 pieces. With so many other Korean Chicken spots in the area I'm not sure if I'd try this place again nor recommend it, but at the same time I'd say it's worth trying as what I'm looking for in a K-Chick place may not be what others like and they may love this place. They seem to cook to order or it's fresh, so you may have to wait like 20 mins after ordering to get your food. That's standard with most Korean Chicken restaurants. Parking is easy.

Tried the 4-piece soy garlic wings and was not happy -- skin was soggy, flavor bland, and the sauce had a burnt/overly dark taste.

Make sure to double check the hours on google or yelp because chances are, they're probably open! The fried chicken itself is really good. If you're doing pickup or delivery, I don't recommend getting the chicken tossed in sauce because you'll lose that great crispiness by the time you get home. The move is to order the regular fried chicken and get the sauces on the side instead. Just a heads up, sauces are about $1.50 each. The habanero garlic sauce is a good one -- they're veryyyy generous with the fresh habaneros and it has great flavor. One thing that surprised me about the chicken is the batter. It's not the typical Korean fried chicken style with a thinner coating -- the batter here is thicker, more like an American-style fried chicken crust. Honestly though, it's sooo good. The crisp on the chicken is great and really satisfying. I do wish they offered a spicy powder or dry seasoning option without sauce though. That would be amazing. The unexpected highlight for me is the Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Wow. The flavor is so good -- really aromatic, creamy, and well balanced without being numbing. It's honestly delicious, and dipping the fried chicken in the sauce is next level. What really brought me back to this place after my first try was the Mala Rose Ddukbokki!! I CRAVE IT!!!! They also have a kimchi fried rice side option which is a nice addition if you want something extra with the meal. I really appreciate the side of mac salad they have here too since they use the big elbow macaroni!!! I'm all about textures! Overall, really solid fried chicken and a standout Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Definitely a spot I will keep coming back to. Already salivating thinking about the Mala Rose

I had been here a few times before, so I knew what I was getting into. I ordered the 8 piece soy garlic bone in chicken wings. At first I thought the price was a little steep thinking all I would get is the chicken. To my surprise, it came with a side of coleslaw, macaroni salad and seasoned brown rice. They fry the chicken when you order so it's about a 15-20 minute wait. The flavor the soy garlic is delicious. It's not overly garlicky nor overly sweet. It's so crispy and even a few days later the chicken was still yummy. I'll definitely come back!

On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

If you come when they're slow, the wings are great. Only order the Bone-in wings, boneless are just chicken nuggets. Bone-in wings when good are large, crispy, and the various seasonings are well tossed/mixed with the chicken. Now if you're ordering at dinner time or when there's a big event going on, they get overwhelmed. The orders start running a bit late, the chicken isn't as fried and crispy. The worst part is the flavors are lazily tossed/mixed in with the chicken. Lots of pieces had no flavor, some had all the flavor on one and none on the other or just at the bottom of the container. Honestly, it just looks like they put the wings in the container and put the seasoning on top without mixing it. It's disappointing when you pay so much for chicken wings and it's not executed well. Favorite flavors are the Lakers legendary garlic (or garlic parm if that's not available), lemon pepper, mango habanero, and Korean. Hawaiian and hot honey are good options, but they fall below the other flavors. It's a perfect spread of non-spicy to spicy for everyone. Get the Cajun friend corn. It's one of my favorite sides.
